Bullish momentum is building in crude and gasoline contracts, driving a steady market advance. Don't miss out—tap in for real-time insights, expert takes, and the hottest trends shaping the market!Herd Mentality: What's Driving the Market?Right now, traders are locked in on Middle Eastern crude and the latest OPEC headlines—that's where the herd is moving…While sanctions and geopolitical tensions, like the Israel-Gaza conflict, are in the mix, it's the OPEC narrative and supply dynamics that are truly shaping market sentiment. Stay ahead of the pack with our deep dives into what's really moving traders!Gold Rush: Where Traders Struck Big! The biggest money-maker in the oil markets? Brent vs. Dubai differential! A sharp, predictable downward move—driven by OPEC headlines and Iran/Venezuela sanctions—set up a prime opportunity for trade houses and speculators to cash in. While Naphtha shorts in the MOPJ Crack also paid off, Brent-Dubai was the real jackpot. Stay locked in for the next big setup! Widow Maker: The Market's Biggest TrapThe 380 fuel oil crack caught traders off guard with a violent, unexpected rally that surged deep into positive territory. What seemed like a clear short turned into a painful squeeze, leaving many in the red. This shock move blindsided the market and proved once again why risk management is everything. Stay sharp—don't get caught in the next Widow Maker.Deep Dive: Inside the Data That MattersMartha broke down the intricacies of Onyx's proprietary data, offering a closer look at Naphtha's setup going forward. From technical patterns and positioning to the pricing window backdrop, she mapped out the key signals traders need to watch. If you're looking for an edge in the market, this is where you'll find it. Crystal Ball: Trade Ideas & Forward-Looking AnalysisThis segment focuses on where the market is heading next, using a mix of fundamental insights and proprietary research to generate trade ideas. It's broken down into three key sub-segments:Onyx Beta – The Broad Market OutlookThis is where the hosts lay out their big-picture views on key oil market benchmarks, looking at:Brent crude – directional bias and price action expectations.Front Brent timespread – analyzing the structure of the curve and potential moves in backwardation or contango.EBOB Crack – assessing the gasoline crack spread in Europe and its implications.Low Sulfur Fuel Crack in Asia – examining refining margins and demand signals for LSFO in the Asian market.Harry & Greg's Trade of the WeekTo wrap up, Harry and Greg selected their favorite trade idea based on the discussion throughout the show. This time, they landed on the DFL (Dated Brent vs. Brent differential) as the best way to position for spot physical crude strength, reflecting tightness in the physical oil market versus the futures market.

That’s what the last couple years for Perry has felt like. Starting in 2021 with a 90% blockage in his Widow-Maker artery. But Perry can honestly say, “I’m thankful for every hardship.” What?? It’s because of what God does in us through our suffering. That he can’t do any other way. For some, Christmas is not the most wonderful time of the year. Shawna asked a friend how she could pray for her and she immediately teared up. Jesus, Immanuel, Joy of the world, is with us in our sadness too. Perry and Shawna listener Brian texted them in September saying, “Please pray for me, I have a really bad disease.” And 3 months later Brian was gone. Perry went to pay his respects this past Monday and as he walked back to his car it felt like death was on him like a heavy blanket. The blanket lifted as he thought of some words of hope from Aslan! Everything seems bigger at Christmastime. The good things seem better. The hardships seem greater. Christmas doesn’t create our problems or improve our lives – it simply amplifies what already is. Christmas was never intended to magnify us. This Christmas let’s magnify the One Christmas is all about. Before Perry was 25, God had blessed him with some amazing open doors for the Kingdom. And then, that season was over and he found himself cleaning toilets. Super humbling. It wasn’t anything Perry had chosen. But for Jesus he gave up all his glory willingly, for us! Jesus’ birth was not His beginning. He always has been and always will be. Jesus came to give us eternal life. Only an eternal being could offer an eternal gift.Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshow/wgnbSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I had books like What to Expect When You're Expecting and Social Security for Dummies and lots of other great resources, but nothing that just comprehensively looked at all of the things that I was curious about. And so I wrote down a list of questions, everything from the most basic: How long will I live? Will I be healthy to more practical things like How long will I work or Will I have enough money? And so those became the chapters of the book, but one of the things that happened as I was starting to put this together was my husband had a major heart attack at 48. Cardiologist Dr. Lou Kohl will join me tonight. Dr Kohl is my cardiologist, the man who saved my life just over nine years ago. On August 21st, 2015, I had a Widowmaker heart attack, and I was dead for over 20 minutes. I have a brain injury because of this experience. I realize we all want to be talking about football. I feel like I wouldn't be doing my job as a survivor if I didn't make other people aware of what it's like to go through a heart attack and what it's like to deal with heart problems. There is a massive amount of anxiety, anger and depression that comes with a heart attack. There's a good chance you or someone you love will deal with this during your lifetime. Look at these statistics from the CDC: Heart disease in the United States Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups.1 One person dies every 33 seconds from cardiovascular disease.1 In 2022, 702,880 people died from heart disease. That's the equivalent of 1 in every 5 deaths.12 Heart disease cost about $252.2 billion from 2019 to 2020.2This includes the cost of health care services, medicines, and lost productivity due to death. Heart attack In the United States, someone has a heart attack every 40 seconds.3 Every year, about 805,000 people in the United States have a heart attack.3 Of these, 605,000 are a first heart attack, and 200,000 happen to be people who have already had a heart attack.3 About 1 in 5 heart attacks are silent—the damage is done, but the person is not aware of it. We will discuss, from my side, what it's like to go through and survive a heart attack and from Dr. Kohl's side, what people overlook at about heart attack - common misconceptions, etc. GET A CULT T-SHIRT here.

Joel Bouchard will discuss the topic of getting in the flow with me today. Joel Bouchard is a doctoral student in psychology at Liberty University in Virginia, a multi-instrumentalist record producer, author, painter, Army veteran, business leader, local government official, and host of the philosophy podcast From Nowhere to Nothing. His podcast explores complex themes such as the messy, misapplied, and contradictive nature of tribalism, commitment as a concept through ontological and ethical paradigms, and the life-encompassing yet nuanced concept of work. Joel's diverse background includes discussions on shadow from the perspectives of physics, mythology, psychology, and cultural tradition, as well as debates on substantivalism and relationalism in defining locations. His intellectual curiosity extends to examining Donald Hoffman's ideas on reality and consciousness from “The Case Against Reality,” and exploring metaphysical, epistemological, and ontological aspects of consciousness through documentary scenes. Joel also engages in abstract discussions on the ontological impact of the present and delves into the past from both metaphysical and historical perspectives. His multifaceted experiences and deep philosophical inquiries make him a dynamic and insightful voice in contemporary philosophical discourse. My friends refer to me as the robot because I generally tend to be pretty unemotional. And, you know, that's good. It's good to be even-keeled, but it can also be negative if you freeze or shut down when in negative circumstances. So, the biggest impact for me is that it's helped me express happiness and joy and also to be able to identify with emotions without getting caught up in them without being angry. I can identify that this is an angry emotion and a justified emotion. Then I can decide how I should act with this information. Thoughts On Breathing As someone who's pretty new to meditation, breathing is something that I still struggle with a little bit. They tell you that you're not supposed to breathe loud, but I always find myself breathing loud because I'm using that to focus my attention. In Zen meditation, this is a subject of controversy. Some Zen masters say you can count your breaths, while others say don't. So I mix the two. You know, for the first 10, I count the in-breath and the out-breath, one, two, and then for the next 10, I only count the out-breath. So in one in two, then after that, I go to not counting. But I find myself still breathing very deeply. I think it helps with relaxation and focus. Sometimes, it can steal attention away from the internal focus on what's happening in the mind. Bullying Story I believe bullying is a problem rooted in a lack of mindfulness on the bully's part. I have a story about being mindful from the other side. During my time in the army, we had an exercise in basic training where we used pugil sticks, like on American Gladiators, to fight each other. The drill sergeant insisted everyone participate, but I didn't volunteer because I didn't want to fight. At the end, the drill sergeant singled me out to fight the biggest guy, nicknamed the Widowmaker, who was six foot five and 280 pounds. Though I didn't want to fight, I had been mindful and observed the fights closely. When it was my turn, I pretended to cower, turned to the side, and ducked down. As he came close, I jammed the end of my stick into his helmet, causing him to fall. I won the fight. This experience taught me that mindfulness can help you navigate difficult situations, even when facing a bigger, more imposing opponent. Immediate medical attention is crucial for any chance of survival, as highlighted by the Cleveland Clinic. You can listen to this in Apple Podcasts, our website, Spotify or most major podcast platforms. The gravity of seeking assistance promptly is highlighted by statistics from the American Heart Association, indicating that only a mere 12% of individuals experiencing a widowmaker heart attack outside of medical facilities manage to survive. Law enforcement officers, in particular, face escalated risk due to the demands of their profession, characterized by extended, physically demanding shifts and constant vigilance. Studies have indicated that police officers exhibit notably subpar cardiovascular health, likely exacerbated by the unpredictable and stressful nature of their work. Good Beer Hunting

The story of homebrewing and craft beer is intertwined. Ask many craft brewery owners how they got their start, and you'll probably hear about their homebrewing days—how it sparked their love of beer and eventually led them to turn their hobby into a career. However, homebrewing is only one part of going pro, and there are many more skills needed to open and run a brewery. Ryan Lavery, owner of Widowmaker Brewing, got his start brewing beer in his garage. A series of serendipitous moments, including a Craigslist ad, eventually led him to open his own brewery in Braintree, Massachusetts in 2017, and another location in Allston-Brighton, a neighborhood in Boston in 2023. Both locations reflect Ryan's love for music with his second location being described as a place with “intergalactic, spacey, stoner rock” vibes. In this conversation, Ryan shares how he didn't really know anything about opening a brewery and how those first decisions—like how they set up the brewhouse—still affect him and his team today. You'll hear Ryan discuss the distinction between the opening of his first taproom and the second one, as well as how the brewery discovered its identity and how that knowledge influenced the design of both locations, starting with the second. We also spend a little time talking about the special places he's visited in Atlanta while on business for the brewery, including a previous podcast guest, Todd DiMatteo, and his brewing company, Good Word Brewing.

Not all heart attacks are fatal. But when your heart's left anterior descending artery becomes 100% blocked, the result is a massive heart attack known as The Widowmaker. Few survive its fatal clutch. But today's guest Timothy O'Donnell beat the odds. A professional long-course triathlete with over 50 podium finishes, including more than 25 wins at major events throughout the world, Tim is the 2009 ITU Long Distance World Champion, placed 2nd at the 2019 Ironman World Championships in Kona, and became the first American to finish that race in under 8 hours. Tim's impressive 20-year athletic journey (and, more importantly, his life) nearly came to a tragic end in 2021 when he suffered a widowmaker heart attack in the middle of a half-ironman race. Somehow, Timothy was able to finish the race, placing 11th and making it to the hospital in time to make a full recovery. Tim's journey is nothing short of astonishing. Today he opens up about the strange dichotomy between his elite fitness and near-death experience, his decision to return to racing, and the critical importance of lifestyle choices for endurance athletes of all levels. We also talk about his experience at the Naval Academy and tenure as a Naval officer, triathlon professional athlete representation in the media today, his thoughts on the Norwegian Train, the future of triathlon, advice for amateur athletes, and more.
