BT & Sal dive into the buzz surrounding the Diddy documentary, highlighting the "unreal" vintage footage and the early rise of the hip-hop mogul. The conversation shifts to a fiery debate over the 2026 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, triggered by a voter who submitted a ballot with only David Wright's name. Sal and BT dissect their differing picks, agreeing on Carlos Beltran and Felix Hernandez, but clashing over Andy Pettitte and closers like K-Rod. They also tackle the elephant in the room: whether A-Rod and Manny Ramirez should be let in despite their PED use. In football, they debate whether the Giants should gamble on the past glory of Bill Belichick or the program stability of Mike McCarthy, acknowledging the "purgatory" status of the Yankees. The show concludes with a special "Call from Down Under" from a loyal Mets fan in Australia seeking solutions for the Mets' dire pitching situation, which Sal labels "slop."

Having beautiful white teeth of course depends on good oral hygiene to a degree. But brushing and flossing alone aren't the only factors. The structural integrity of our tooth enamel is actually determined by genetics, meaning some of us are more likely to experience decay than others. The same goes for dentine, which is the calcified tissue that lies underneath tooth enamel, protecting the dental pulp encased within. Now dentine is actually yellow, which explains why our teeth gradually turn that colour when the enamel wears away. Tea and coffee are supposed to be bad at staining teeth, aren't they? What about foods? Is there anything we can do apart from reducing our consumption? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! We're unexpectedly off this week! In the meantime, we hope you enjoy another journey into hell in one of our One Shots: Avernus. This arc features our awesome DM Tom McGee, Ryan LaPlante as Werner Ragnarok, Tyler Hewitt as Hambone, and Laura Hamstra as the elderly murder machine Maude Buggins! An entire city has disappeared and the members of The Stain were determined to avenge it! Our heroes were chasing down Thavius Kreeg and were forced to fight 3 death cultists. Hambone almost died and a winged demon told him he'd be in hell soon, Werner insulted his magical bow even while he killed people with it, and Maude frenzied so hard she disembowelled one person and decapitated another! Can the Stain catch up with Kreeg and the Duke, or will they die underground?Enjoying One Shots?- Consider supporting the show for as little as $1 a month to get BTS fun, an ad-free feed, and even add your own character to the podcast! We continue discussing episodes 1 through 3, starting off with Sanda. The crew shares their appreciation of the art style and animation, and how it nods to Invader Zim and Zatch Bell. Jakia isn't as excited about the show as Keoni is. She finds it sus that a 14-year-old boy transforms into an 80-year-old man. In Spy Family Season 3, Justin's hate for Anya continues, and he admits that you have to commit to finishing the season. The crew is shares how there is a mix of pointless episodes and then canon when we leave of Twilight's backstory. There is debate about whether or not he truly remembers his name due to stressors or if they bleeped it out. We stan for My Status As An Assassin. Thestory and art are refreshing; Jakia doesn't trust that the students were summoned to save the world. Jakia doesn't get the votes to put the King and the Princess in the book. We're here for the titles in My Hero Academia. Justin needs to find a clip of the old man wanting to save All Might. Justin wasgetting teary-eyed, and loved how they were pulling at the heartstrings, absolutely stunning and captivating. The fight between One for All, All Might and Stain is giving us everything! What do you think of the Fall 2025 anime season? Which shows are you watching? Which shows are you dropping? We'd loveto know! All this and more in this episode of Kaizoku Uncharted!
Pool Pros text questions hereThis week, Andrea flies solo while Paulette takes a much-needed break—and the result is a fun, educational, slightly unhinged deep dive into cold water season, winter chemistry, dry skin survival, and why cold pools can actually make your job easier (yes, really). From frozen reagents to stain treatments to elderly Floridians complaining about “cold” 78-degree pools, this episode is a full winter-route mood.Episode SummaryAndrea kicks off the show explaining why cold water is basically a superpower for stain removal—and why winter is the perfect time to hit those stubborn stains before the pool closes or before the last brave snowbird gives up on swimming. Then she pivots to the real pain of winter service: dry, cracked, chlorine-blasted pool-tech hands. Andrea drops her holy-grail products for surviving winter route life: • Aquaphor (the OG skin savior) • Gloves in a Bottle (a “liquid glove” that doesn't magically repel water but helps keep your skin intact) • Cheap leather gloves you won't cry about when chlorine eats them aliveWith the hand-care PSA complete, Andrea dives into the meat of the episode:Cold Water + Chemistry = ChaosCold water messes with your testing, your reagents, your strips, your readings… everything. She covers: • Why frozen reagents sometimes survive—if you treat them right • Which false readings are the most common in winter • Why cyanuric acid tests lie in cold water • How pH and alkalinity reactions slow down • Why test strips get stupid below 45°F / 7.2°C • The right way to warm a sample before testing (hint: NOT the microwave)She also explains why, according to Taylor, if the water is too cold for accurate testing… you technically get a pass. (Andrea delivers that part with the exact level of sarcasm you'd expect.)Cold Water Perks You Didn't Know You NeededYep—winter has pros: • Stains lift easier • Algae struggles to survive • You might use fewer chemicals • Nobody's swimming, so nobody complains (except the heat-pump HOA)Andrea also wanders into… • evaporation math • energy loss • bubble covers • liquid solar covers • ducks getting annoyed • Florida people who think 45°F means the end times • commercial pools with 200,000 gallons of lukewarm regret • spa cold-plunge chaos • why solar panels leak out of spiteHer tangent game is elite this episode.Key Takeaways• Cold water interferes with nearly every test, from alkalinity to CYA—warm samples before testing. • Frozen reagents aren't always ruined, but they must thaw naturally and pass the “crack and floaty” check. • Stain treatments work better in cold water, so winter is prime time. • Evaporation steals heat energy like a thief, and even an inch of water lost has a huge thermal impact. • Solar covers can actually add heat—not just retain it. • Liquid covers work… mostly. Don't expect miracles. • Cold water means less algae, fewer chemicals, and fewer complaints—unless you service Florida. • Winter equals crusty pool-tech hand Support the showThank you so much for listening! SHOW NOTES: Welcome back to The Money Pit! With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we're here to help you rush through your home improvement to-dos and provide fast, stress-free ways to get your house in tip-top shape before the holiday hits. We've got tips on everything from lightning protection to tackling holiday spills and getting your home ready for winter. - Stain Removal: We offer tried-and-true stain-busting tricks using pantry staples to manage inevitable holiday spills like red wine, greasy gravy, and cranberry sauce. - Proper Home Insulation: We detail how to check if your home has enough insulation. Options for insulation include affordable fiberglass batts, blown-in cellulose or fiberglass, or professional spray foam. - Saving Energy in Winter: Energy-saving winter tips include checking weather stripping and installing a door sweep to block cold air, using a smart thermostat to automate heating schedules, and wrapping older water heaters with an insulation blanket. - Improving Indoor Air Quality: We offer tips for maintaining healthier indoor air quality, such as using an air purifier, keeping the humidity between 35-40%, and ensuring proper air circulation by leaving doors open and using exhaust fans in bathrooms. Q & A: - Jason in Arkansas was concerned about lightning control after installing a metal roof, especially since lightning recently destroyed his heat and air unit. We advise him to look into installing a proper lightning rod system, which typically involves a heavy copper cable running down the exterior wall to a 4- to 6-foot grounding rod. - Nancy in Georgia was dealing with a squeaky top-floor doorway after removing carpet. The solution is to locate the floor joists by finding the nailing pattern and then using long drywall screws to tightly screw down the subfloor across the entire area. - Dan in Georgia asked for advice on painting his vinyl siding because his wife disliked the current color. We strongly advise against painting the vinyl siding because paint layers will peel and require re-painting every five to six years. - Dave in Ontario, Canada, discovered that the wooden header was dry-rotted above his detached cement block garage door. We explain that he needs to build a temporary support wall inside the garage to hold the roof rafters while he disassembles and replaces the deteriorated header. - Emily (via email) wrote in about a fuzzy white growth on her basement walls that she feared was mold. We identify the growth as likely efflorescence, a mineral deposit left after moisture evaporates, and recommend that she manage exterior moisture by cleaning gutters and sloping the soil away from the foundation. ASK A QUESTION: Need help with your own home improvement or décor question? We'd love to help! Isaiah 1:10-11a, 13b-18 - Hear the Word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodom! Give ear to the teaching of our God, you people of Gomorrah! “What to Me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says the Lord; I have had enough of burnt offerings … I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly. Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; they have become a burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them. When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood. Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before My eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause. Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”

BT and Sal vented their frustration over how the Steroid Era has tainted Aaron Judge's latest achievement of reaching 50 home runs for the fourth time in his career, a mark only previously reached by Babe Ruth, Sammy Sosa, and Mark McGwire. The hosts argued that by including Sosa and McGwire, whose numbers are linked to performance-enhancing drugs, MLB is unfairly diluting Judge and Ruth's honest accomplishments. They demanded that baseball stop acknowledging the "cheaters" in historical contexts, as it clouds the impressive nature of Judge's clean-slate success and sends a confusing message to new generations of fans.

An international tribunal of environmental rights activists recently found extensive evidence that the Canadian mining sector is “guilty for the violation of Rights of Nature across South America and Serbia.” The guest on this episode of Mongabay's podcast corroborates these accusations, and describes human rights abuses in South American nations that she has seen in her reporting, too. Brandi Morin, a Cree-Iroquois-French environmental journalist and freelancer for Mongabay, discusses how Canadian mining projects impact ecological health and the rights of Indigenous communities in places such as Ecuador and Bolivia. “Canada is the mining giant of the world, and around the world, they're getting away with atrocities. They aren't regulated very well to hold them to account. It's a free-for-all out there,” she says. Find the Mongabay Newscast wherever you listen to podcasts, from Apple to Spotify.
