The boys open the show discussing exercise, Harry Houdini, supernatural skepticism, and the guy who killed President James Garfield (ends at about 17:20). It wasn't on purpose, but perhaps it was to avoid talking about THE BIGGEST PROMOTIONAL FUMBLE IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING. Starrcade 1997 was supposed to be WCW's shining moment; the match up between Sting and Hollywood Hogan was a long time in the making, and was as big of a layup as wrestling pay-offs get. Will Hogan smash the stinger, or will he eat crow? The only bad way to answer those questions is "no" to both, and guess what Eric Bischoff did. Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @SnarkMarksPod and let us know how we're doing!
Week 69 (nice) is here! It's the moment Bang and Dang have been waiting for as we finally get to the see the match that has been built for the last few weeks: Starrcade 1996. Hollywood Hogan. Rowdy Roddy Piper. Icons. Legends. Will Hogan finally beat Piper in a one on one or will Roddy continue to have Hogan's number? Also, The Giant is being blamed for "dropping the ball" and looks like he is fed up with Hogan and the NWO. This leads us into the 12/30/96 Nitro and we open with more disagreements between Giant and the NWO, then a Hogan promo, the main event of Luger vs. Greg Valentine and finally Piper comes out only to be interrupted by the NWO and the Giant makes a big decision. To end the show we move over to the same night's RAW where we have a Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels interview followed by Jerry Lawler vs. Goldust where all hell breaks loose to end the show. All in all a pretty good night of wrestling. Make sure to watch it with us!

Each day, Miner unwinds and analyzes two Maryland news stories in under five minutes. Today is Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Here are the two stories A Miner Detail is covering today: Story 1) Gov. Larry Hogan (R) announced this afternoon that Maryland officials uncovered a $501 million unemployment fraud scheme. 2) Larry Hogan is out with a new book, which could be a test run for a potential 2024 presidential bid. But a tweet written New York Times reporter Luke Broadwater yesterday demonstrates Hogan's somewhat political rightward shift in recent weeks. Will Hogan, an unabashed good-government moderate Republican, stick stick to his style of politics, or will he have to pivot to the right to win a Republican primary? You decide.
