WWG Part 288 | Worship Is A Lifestyle
When we have a proper heart for worship, we'll see that worship is not for us. Worship is for God. We worship for an audience of ONE! He is the audience; we are not. As our hearts are directed in praise, adoration, gratitude, and love for God, in return, we experience joy.Main Points:1. Worship is the response of all that we are to all that God is. To worship is to declare God's worth.2. While worshipping together with a group of believers is both biblical and important, we should recognize that worship is not something only to be done on Sundays in a church building. Worship is a lifestyle. As recipients of God's grace and mercy, we want to give him worship and praise every day and throughout the day.3. Do you have a heart for worship? Let me encourage you to include worship in your daily spiritual disciplines. Let it be a part of your daily time with the Lord. As you worship and honor the Lord, he is glorified, and you will be blessed.Today's Scripture Verses:Revelation 4:11 – “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”Psalm 95:6 - Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group
Worship is not just an event or activity, it is a lifestyle. What if the will of God is not always about a decision we are trying to make, but is more about who we are becoming.

From our text we are going to look at a woman whose relationship with Jesus meant more to her than the most precious thing she possessed. She loved and worshiped Jesus extravagantly—she lavished him with expressions of love and gratitude for who He is and what He did for her. In contrast to her extravagant worship, we will also examine the attitude of a religious man who was cold and indifferent to Jesus. We are going to consider not only why he was cold and indifferent, but why he also had no grace for the woman who deeply loved Jesus. (Luke 7:36-50)
In our busy lives how do we take worship off the to do list and make it part of our lifestyle? Ps Claire shows us the shift from disciple to devotion, from singing to surrender, and from human to holy, to both inspire us and give us practical keys to build our relationship with God through the practice of worship.
In this episode, Host Chae Cole encourages listeners to remember that worship is a lifestyle, not a music genre or a specific segment in a church service. Instead, as believers we are to live our lives as worship to God. Scripture: John 4:19-24 NKJV - The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Bible App Bible Plan: http://bible.us/r/BQR Album: https://music.apple.com/us/album/chae-cole-pk-present-overtime/1696330918 https://open.spotify.com/album/7vtbisskhZzqvKydodd0oo?si=O2eqhspWT_2g0wOGv4Pn4Q Host: Chae Cole Instagram: @Coletherapy Tik Tok: @Coletherapy Email: therapycole@gmail.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/coletherapy/support
We were created to worship God, and not just on Sundays or in those thankful moments when we recognize His hand on our lives. We were created to worship as a lifestyle, every day and in many ways. This does not necessarily mean we walk around singing worship songs all day. Worship means much more than that. The Agape Music Group is a 3x award-winning Urban Christian and Urban Gospel group based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The group was created with one goal: To love God and to love people through music and other art forms. Even though this group was initiated by a husband and wife worship leader duo, we thrive on collaboration with other like heart-ed believers to make art that illuminates the vastness of God's infinite creativity. Musicians, singer/songwriters, clothing designers, tech, and sound professionals make up the entirety of the group, all playing a role in creating a sound that glorifies God. Whether it's a track with 808's or an organ, gorgeous string lines, or edgy synths, it is all ultimately to make Him smile and to touch the heart of His people. Happy New Year! We're so excited you've joined us to hear this message on worship from Student Ministry Pastor, Josiah Schwartz. ConnectCard: https://ranchchurch.churchcenter.com/people/forms/160169 Giving: https://ranchchurch.churchcenter.com/giving Outreach: https://ranch.church/outreach Presented by Josiah Schwartz, Student Ministry Pastor. MESSAGE NOTES: ‘WORSHIP IN THE NEW YEAR' LUKE 10:38-42 NLT “As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”” EXODUS 20:3, 18 You must not have any other God but me. You must not make for yourself an idol of kind. You must not bow down or worship them, for I, the Lord your God am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. God alone is worthy of worship. Everything else that we worship: people, possession, standing, all will let us down and will fail. JOHN 4:19-24 “Sir,” the woman said, “you must be a prophet. So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?” Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” PSALM 103: 1-5 Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! The markers of a Martha: 1. Do you find yourself constantly distracted? (Do you find time to be quiet and listen to the Lord?) 2. Are you worried and troubled about many things? (does your day hold more worry, or more joy?) 3. Are you more concerned with how you worship or how others worship? (What relationship are you thinking about more of in worship, others or God?) “WORSHIP IS A LIFESTYLE.”
In this episode, Pastor Nancy discusses what it means really worship God. Based on Romans 12:1-2, she teaches on how to worship the Lord with your life and how to know when to take action against things that pull you away from Him. God bless you as you work to strengthen yourself in the Lord. Amen.
We tend to think worship is an event we attend. The Bible says something dramatically different. In John 12, we see through the life of Mary, the brother of Lazarus, how worship is a lifestyle--a series of choices every day for all of our lives, not...
This is a great conversation with my good friend, Ellen Feldt. She is the Worship Director at Conduit Ministries in Jamestown, NY and has so much valuable insight regarding the big picture of worship. This conversation could have gone on for hours but somehow we kept it to 24 minutes. Enjoy!

Final sermon in the series "Living the Five" preached on February 24, 2019 by Pastor Mark Kleinheksel. Worship is so much more than the service on a Sunday morning, so much more than the 'worship music' that we sing together. God calls us to a living that is radically different than the world around us, a life of worship directed at God Himself.
In the final sermon of the Living the Five series, Pastor Mike brings a message about how worship is and should be an everyday part of our lives.

Worship is my most favorite act of service to God! Worship is an act of appreciation, honor, and reverance to the most High God we serve. It is an act of simply putting ourselves aside and focusing our whole self on God and Him alone. It is the time that we let the Lord know how wonderfu He is! How powerful He is! And how much we love Him...not because of what He can do for us, but simply for who He is! We worship Him in the beauty of holiness, because He is a holy God! A righteous God! A beautiful God! In most churches, a time of worship (praise and worship) is set aside at the beginning of servide for congregants to release our cares and focus on the Lord. This is wonderful and much needed, but we should also set aside time at home to worship the Lord as a part of our daily lifestyle. Worship allows us to build and maintain our relationship with the Lord. It is a time of intimacy and can be a time of healing and deliverance as we surrender our whole self to Him in worship. Join me tonight as we talk about it, pray about it and tap into the power of worship. Talk to you then!
