Mais plus le temps passe, moins je sais comment aider. Alors, quand un petit matin d'octobre, elle me demande de le « faire rentrer dans ma boite », je finis par accepter. Avertissement : cette série aborde la question du suicide. "La toute première photo que j'ai de Grégoire, il a six ans. Il est blond, blanc, un grand sourire timide et les yeux pétillants. Un beau gamin. Un petit parisien d'une classe privilégiée, à l'aise. Et puis je me souviens de la toute dernière photo. C'était le même, en moins blond et en beaucoup plus grand. C'est la photo qui a été choisie. Elle est tirée en grand, posée sur son cercueil. On est le 14 janvier 2021. Grégoire est mort et il aura toujours 22 ans." Aux obsèques de Grégoire, des papillons en origami sont distribués à tout le monde. Au mur, on a projeté une vidéo de Grégoire qui joue au piano. "On y voit que ses mains. C'est très beau et totalement insupportable parce que déjà, encore, Grégoire est là sans être là. Un spectre insaisissable et lumineux qui a croisé nos vies. Une sonate et le discours de Béné qui se tient droite, seule au pupitre et qui réussit à nous faire face sans s'effondrer." "Débrouille-toi pour faire entrer Grégoire dans ta boite" Bénédicte est la mère de Grégoire. Huit mois après sa mort, en octobre, elle explique à Sophie qu'elle ne peut s'autoriser à tourner la page. "Elle m'a dit 'je n'en peux plus, mais tant que j'ai mal, alors Grégoire est avec moi. Je ne veux pas tourner la page'. Elle a dit aussi 'ça empire, je sais que je dois réaliser, mais ça me fait encore trop mal, alors pour l'instant, dans ma tête, c'est pas encore arrivé'. Elle s'est tournée vers moi et elle m'a dit 'je crois que j'ai trouvé la solution. Moi, ma douleur, toi ta panne d'inspiration, je veux que tu fasses quelque chose sur Grégoire." "J'ai envie de garder tous les moments, de pouvoir me souvenir de tout ce que j'ai vécu avec lui et tout ce qu'il a vécu sans que ce soit atrocement douloureux. J'ai peur que mon cerveau, ma mémoire les efface, pour me protéger. Il paraît que c'est ça qu'on fait quand il y a un traumatisme, qu'on efface les choses. Mais moi j'ai pas envie." "Peut-on mourir de mélancolie, de romantisme, de trop de beauté ?" C'est avec Pierre-Louis que Sophie a décidé de commencer la quête de compréhension du suicide de Grégoire, et à créer un objet sonore en sa mémoire. Pierre-Louis est le premier à être arrivé sur les lieux du suicide. "Quand je suis arrivé, la rue était déserte. On était le 2 janvier. Les pompiers étaient déjà partis. Je suis monté et là, au lieu que ce soit moi qui ouvre la porte, il y avait un policier qui m'a demandé qui j'étais. Deux minutes après, mon frère est arrivé. Il a tout de suite posé la question, ce que je n'ai pas fait. Il leur a demandé si Grégoire était mort. Et là, tout s'effondre." Pierre- Louis décide alors de prendre des photos de l'appartement de Grégoire, tel qu'il l'a laissé avant de mourir. "Je trouve ça quand même un peu bizarre, ça m'apparaissait presque comme une transgression de venir ici, de parler de Grégoire à nouveau, de sa mort. (...) On ne comprendra jamais tout à fait à ce geste. Mais je me dis que si on avait été plus proches… C'est ça que je regrette énormément, c'est de ne pas l'avoir mieux connu." Even with the oil cooler covered during winter, it still doesn't get hot enough. Mike said they like to see oil temperature up to 200 degrees if possible. Chris can check the vernitherm by putting it in boiling water to see when it actuates. Mike said the oil temperature gauge is typically reading at the coolest part of the process, and the oil may climb 40 degrees higher. Curtis just wanted to change his ELT battery. His mechanic sent it away to a service center. He received an invoice with three options, none of which included replacing the battery. His standby current apparently tested high. Unfortunately Curtis was in an unusual situation with a foreign-produced part. There are two answers, Mike said. There's the answer where you feel like you have to follow the manual, and one if you follow the regulations. The manual says the battery must be replaced by a Part 145 shop, but the regs allow the owner to do it under preventative maintenance. Mike contends that since the battery replacement section of the manual is not an airworthiness limitation, Curtis can just brush it off. Pierre-Louis and his club in Switzerland have a tuned exhaust system on their airplane and while he is seeing some benefits in terms of fuel burn and climb rate, he is most interested in the smoothness of the engine. He said it feels like having a 6-cylinder engine and he's wondering if tuned exhaust systems offer better engine longevity. Colleen thinks it's possible the engine is actually working harder (more horsepower), so she guesses that the engine longevity would be reduced. Mike said he disagrees because the engine isn't producing more power, its power is being used more efficiently. Paul suggests that less vibration is ultimately better for the engine. Frank has a Rockwell Commander 112 and when he shuts it down it sometimes diesels, or won't entirely quit. Typically it only happens in the summer after a flight when it's warm. Mike and Paul said the only way that happens is if the mixture doesn't fully shut off the fuel supply. Mike said the mixture cable to the carb is the first place to check. Colleen suggests that it could be a leaking primer as well. Mike recommends fault isolating it by disconnecting the primer to see if it resolves.
