Ownership Mindset: Taking Full Responsibility for Your Growth challenges listeners to shift from blame to ownership—because real growth begins when excuses end. In this episode, we unpack what it means to take full responsibility for your progress, leadership, and life direction.Through the incredible story of Inky Johnson—who was eight games away from the NFL before a life-altering injury paralyzed his right arm—we explore how radical ownership isn't about pretending life is fair, but about choosing how to respond when it isn't. Inky's mindset, summed up in his words “Redirection, pain, setbacks, shortcomings, highs, lows—they are all part of the process of success. Embrace it, respect it, and trust it” becomes the foundation for a deeper call to lead ourselves well. The episode concludes with practical ways to implement the ownership mindset in everyday life, reminding us that the power to change lies in the willingness to own what's ours. This episode will speak to anyone feeling stuck, frustrated, or ready to step into the next level of their leadership journey. Thank you for joining us on this insightful journey! Pascale ----------------------- FULL TRANSCRIPT ----------------------- Hello, beautiful soul Welcome to the final week of The Gratitude Experiment. This is Week 7, and what a journey it has been! Thank you for joining me on this incredible path of transformation and growth. Your willingness to open your heart to gratitude has brought us to this moment of reflection, renewal, and celebration. I'm Pascale Gibon, your host, and I'm so grateful for your presence, energy, and commitment to this experiment. Together, we've explored the profound impact of gratitude on our lives, and as we conclude this series, it's time to look back at what we've learnt, celebrate how far we've come, and set intentions to carry this practice forward into the new year. A Journey Through Gratitude If you have just joined us or missed some episodes, let's begin by reflecting on what we've uncovered during these last six beautiful weeks. Week 1: Unlocking Happiness In Week 1, we began by unlocking happiness, discovering that joy can be found in the simplest of moments. By pausing to notice life's small gifts, such as a smile, a warm drink, and a quiet evening, we began to see how gratitude brings light to our daily lives. Week 2: The Gift of Gratitude In Week 2, we explored how gratitude becomes a gift we give, not only to ourselves but to others. By expressing thankfulness to those who support and love us and even to those who challenge us, we strengthened our relationships and learnt to transform difficulties into lessons. Week 3: Harvesting Hope In Week 3, we leaned into gratitude as a source of hope. Inspired by Nelson Mandela's resilience, we embraced gratitude as a tool to find light in life's darkest moments, fostering faith in the goodness of life and others. Week 4: Mindful Gratitude In Week 4, we slowed down and practised mindful gratitude. Through guided meditation, we connected with the present moment, appreciating the beauty of nature, the seasons, and the small, often overlooked blessings around us. Week 5: Adopting an Attitude of Gratitude In Week 5, we took gratitude beyond practice and made it a mindset, a way of seeing the world. By shifting our focus from scarcity to abundance, we discovered that gratitude dissolves fear and invites joy and possibility into our lives. Week 6: Writing Your Way to Gratitude Last week, in Week 6, we tapped into the power of journaling. We deepened our gratitude practice through writing, allowing ourselves to reflect, process emotions, and create a map of life's treasures. Journaling became a sacred ritual for mindfulness, clarity, and joy. A Moment of Reflection Take a moment now to reflect on your journey. How has this experiment changed your perspective? What new habits or realisations have you embraced? How do you feel about gratitude now compared to when you began this journey? You've done something truly remarkable by committing to this practice. Gratitude is a gift that grows with time, and you've planted seeds that will continue to bloom in your life. Renew Your Commitment to Gratitude As we conclude this series, let's commit to carrying gratitude into the weeks, months, and years ahead. Here are three ways you can renew your commitment to gratitude: 1. Create a Daily Gratitude Ritual: Begin or end each day with three things you're grateful for. This simple habit keeps gratitude alive in your heart. 2. Express gratitude to others: Continue to share your appreciation with those around you. Whether it's a heartfelt thank-you, a kind note, or simply being present with someone, your gratitude will strengthen your connections. 3. Reconnect with gratitude during challenges: Remember that gratitude isn't just for the easy moments. When life feels overwhelming, pause and ask yourself: What can I learn from this? What is one thing I am forever grateful for? Gratitude is your anchor, your compass, and your light. Rejoice in Your Growth Let's celebrate your achievement! Let's celebrate your courage to participate in this experiment, your openness to growth, and the positive changes you've created. As you rejoice in your progress, know that gratitude is a journey, not a destination. It's a practice you can return to again and again, and it will continue to enrich your life in unexpected ways. Let abundance abound in your life! Final Thoughts Before we close, I want to leave you with a powerful quote by Melody Beattie: "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." Gratitude truly has the power to transform. As you move forward, may gratitude continue to light your path, nurture your spirit, and bring joy to your life. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of The Gratitude Experiment. It has been an honour to guide you on this journey. Remember, when you say yes! to love, you say yes! to life. I will celebrate Christmas with my family this week, and I wish you a Merry Christmas and holiday season with your loved ones. May we all be grateful for this time of celebration, faith, love, peace, hope and laughter. Until next time, I'm sending you so much love, light, and gratitude. Have a beautiful week filled with celebration. Merry Christmas!
Send me a Text Message! In this episode, we explore the profound idea that there are no truly bad people, only individuals operating from the shadows of their consciousness. Every choice we make, whether productive or destructive, stems from a perceived benefit tied to our internal programming. Using insights from systems like Gene Keys, we examine the journey from shadow states to higher levels of consciousness and self-awareness. This episode challenges you to look inward, forgive yourself and others, and understand the hidden benefits behind your choices as part of your spiritual evolution.Key Takeaways:Shadows Aren't Who You Are: Shadow states are temporary conditions, not permanent identities. They reflect unprocessed pain and programming, not the essence of a person's soul.Every Choice Has a Perceived Benefit: Even seemingly destructive choices are made because they offer some form of self-protection or perceived advantage in the moment.Your Growth is Inevitable: The spiritual journey is about moving from shadow to gift, and from gift to the highest state of consciousness. This evolution happens as you gain awareness and courage to look inward.Forgive Yourself and Others: Everyone is doing the best they can with their current level of consciousness and awareness. Understanding this fosters compassion and healing.Replace Old Patterns with New Awareness: As you uncover the hidden benefits behind your destructive behaviors, you can replace them with healthier, more aligned actions.Notable Quotes:“There's no such thing as a bad person—only people operating from corrupted programming and shadow behaviors.”“Every choice you've ever made was rooted in a perceived benefit, even if it was destructive.”“At the soul level, you are infinite, eternal, and nothing but love. Shadows are temporary distortions, not your true essence.”“Forgive yourself for the choices you made to survive, and give yourself permission to evolve.”“No one wakes up and says, ‘I want to ruin today.' Everyone is doing the best they can with the awareness they have.”Music Credit: "What's Left of Me" by Wes Hoffman & FriendsOther Links and Resources:Click here to visit our website to access free tools and resources, our Meditation Bundle, upcoming events, and our coaching service offerings. My Social Media:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mikekitkoInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mike_kitkoTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mikekitkoSubscribe to my YouTube: / @mikekitkoMike Kitko is an executive self-mastery coach, speaker and author. We learn about Nic's journey from business ownership to founding Saint Investment Group, a platform providing access to off-market real estate opportunities. He explains the Entrepreneurial Investment Framework, which includes educating yourself to grow, achieving $250k net income to become an accredited investor, investing in single-family mortgages for stability, and exploring alternative investments for diversification. He also highlights the tax advantages of real estate investments and shares strategies for identifying and removing growth roadblocks to scale a business effectively. --- Pull Out the Stops from Your Growth with Nic DeAngelo Good day, dear listeners, Steve Preda here with the Management Blueprint podcast. And my guest today is Nic DeAngelo, the president of the Saint Investment Group that is leading a new era of real estate investing through proprietary analysis, technology and access to off-market deal flow. Nic, welcome to the show. Steve, great to be here. We've been talking for a long time and lining up schedules. So excited to catch up today, even catching up beforehand and looking forward to jumping in. Yeah, well, I have a question for you, which you may not have expected back in February when we first spoke, which is, what is your personal “Why” and what are you doing in your business to manifest? That's so powerful. I think people talk business strategy and line by line and whether it's tactics or going through deep analysis of the business, but really if you zoom out, the question is, why do we do this? Why do we work so many hours? Why do we take on the stress? For me, it's three things every single time, health, wealth, and legacy. And really the first two lead to the third, which is the legacy piece. Everything is for that legacy piece. Health is physical health, it's emotional health, interpersonal, all the things that make a person feel whole, feel good, have the energy and pour from a full cup. So health is first, wealth is second. It doesn't matter how good you feel, it doesn't matter how good your intentions are. If you don't have the resources or the ability to make a significant impact, then you will be limited in your lifetime.Share on X So to me, wealth, it's much less about how much money's in your bank account and how many numbers pop up on a screen when you check your account. It's much more about having the freedom and the ability to make the world a better place for the things that are most important to you. Then the third is legacy. Unbelievably important and really that's the number one focus, but it comes at the end because I think the other two are so important to pour into legacy. Legacy to me, it's education. It's always been education. It's so important to me to give back whatever I can and we have a ton of focus on that at Saint and in my own life. Also it's the virtues that we put forth, the things that are valuable to us, how do we move those forward and improve the world to make it better? And then really, it's my kids are another one. That's another aspect. The biggest gift that I can give to the world are kids that are competent, they have good virtues, good morals that make the world a better place, that as they move into the world, they have the responsibility to do big things and great things, and hopefully they, whatever we're gonna talk about, whatever Saint does or any businesses I'm involved, I hope my kids just make the world an even better place and make a bigger impact. So health, wealth, and legacy are my focuses every single day. I arrange my days around those and it helps me to focus and not have dead weight in my days of doing things that aren't important. Interesting.

How you view yourself and other people in the world around you influences all of the things you see, think, and do. This is especially true when it comes to your fitness and how you are able to create new healthy habits around your strength goals. Embracing a growth mindset, rather than a fixed mindset, can have a huge impact on your outcomes and your overall enjoyment in and out of the gym. Key Takeaways If You Want to Embrace a Growth Mindset, You Should: 1) Look for examples in your life of times you have shown a growth mindset without realizing it 2) Reframe your challenges as opportunities 3) Collect evidence of your progress on a regular basis Your Growth is Not Linear Have you ever thought or said to yourself, ‘I'm just not built to do a pull-up', or something along those lines? Believing that your qualities or characteristics are set in stone can keep you living in a fixed mindset. This is a common characteristic I see within my community, and it can leak out into other parts of your life and the way you view the world. By challenging that belief and putting yourself in new and uncomfortable situations, you can stretch yourself and experience the magic that lies in the growth mindset. Reframing Your Mindset Strength training and life are about staying in the process and giving consistent effort, regardless of the outcome-based goal. By seeing the value in practice, you can seek out new challenges and experiences that leverage your strengths rather than trying to fix your weaknesses. We all have days where it's easier to stay stuck in your fixed mindset. But if you can stretch yourself enough to reframe the way you think about your obstacles, true growth can occur. Are you ready to ditch your fixed mindset and embrace the growth mindset? Share your thoughts with me in the comments on the episode page. In This Episode Why you need to give yourself some grace if you are struggling with mindset (1:44) Learn about fixed mindset and why it can hold you back from achieving your goals (3:42) Understanding the difference between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset and how it shows up in fitness (6:06) What you need to do to nudge past a fixed mindset and develop opportunity (10:25) How to leverage the idea of growth mindset to further your goals in fitness and beyond (14:12) Quotes “Whatever you are trying to do, inevitably, challenges in mindset come up.” (2:19) “As you work towards achieving your goals in fitness, strength, fueling your body in a way that supports performance. You need to do that by showing up consistently and implementing new behaviors; you'll probably work on forming new habits, which is a great thing, and making different choices. And all of that is influenced by mindset.” (5:00) “It's not just about the outcome, it's about the effort.” (11:32) “If we don't ever step up and accept challenges, because we don't think we can be successful or we don't think we can win at that thing, its a lot harder to reach our fitness goals.” (13:20) Featured on the Show Apply for Strength Nutrition Unlocked Here Mindset Masterclass Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck Full Show Notes Follow Steph on Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | YouTube | Pinterest I'd really love it if you would take 1 min and leave us a rating and review on iTunes! "You don't understand your worth; you don't get to understand all that you've accomplished when you don't celebrate what you've done." -Charlene Brown It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind, especially if we have a job that we don't enjoy. And at some point, we are going to doubt whether we really are doing what's right. Of course, doing what we used to do and doing something we truly want to do both offer rewards. But, it's important that we choose what rewards bring happiness and fulfillment in our lives, rather than a temporary fix. The key is to start showing up for ourselves more instead of worrying about other people's opinions. And it starts with believing that our passion will make an impact— to us and to the people we can help and inspire along the way. In this episode, Daniel sits with Website Architect and The Brand Misfit, Charlene Brown. Like many entrepreneurs, Charlene's journey started when she finally realized that she can do something bigger for herself and others. Almost a decade ago, Charlene focused on helping her fellow black women solopreneurs step up their tech game and improve their online visibility. Today, she still does while also teaching them strategies to grow their business. Listen in as Daniel and Charlene discuss how to build an efficient work process, how to set your team up for success, why we should celebrate our wins more, what investing in ourselves better entails, and how we can keep up with the speed of our business' growth. This one's an oldie, and a goodie! One of our most listened to episodes is back in case you missed it, or want to have another listen. In this episode, I unpack the concept of imposter syndrome, why it holds people back, and provide strategies to overcome this popular, self-imposed label.“Imposter syndrome” is a term, often used in academic and professional settings, that describes feelings of doubt and inadequacy in oneself or one's abilities. However, this term does not define you or your capabilities for success! I hate the term “imposter syndrome,” so let's unpack it and learn how to reframe your perspective of yourself and others to overcome it.Ultimately, I believe that “imposter syndrome” really describes a feeling of discomfort that has not been properly addressed or identified - in other words, discomfort in periods of growth. But more often than not, we need this discomfort to strategize, to challenge us, and to propel us forward to new opportunities for growth and advancement. So, how can we overcome “imposter syndrome?” Here are some tips: Identify your own perceptions → Of yourself, your peers, and your colleagues Understand that advancement is never done → Major milestones in life give way to evolving goals - advancement is never doneWork through the discomfort → Ask yourself what the next best step is and use visualization techniques to map out strategies to your successWork on developing a growth mindset and attitude → Remember that your peers are potentially your future colleagues and approach challenging and uncomfortable situations from a place of compassion. If you want to discuss your own advancement journey and connect with us at Apply Yourself: The Advancement Spot, you can email me personally at hello@applyyourselfglobal.com. ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED November 2018. How much could you grow if you could guarantee results for your clients? Because many custom service providers only market their clients’ successes and aren’t honest about the rest, there are a lot of burned clients. And ethical providers tend to be less forward because they’re nervous about over-promising and under-delivering. You can stand out in the crowd by embracing integrity. Then you don’t have to SAY you’re better; you ARE better. Your website Websites in this industry all look the same. Why? For some people, it’s a fear of being different and standing out. For others, it’s a fear of not being taken seriously. In any case, it’s like everybody is designing the same website. Mandi’s advice to help you stand out? Concentrate on copy, not design. Good copy will beat good design any day of the week. All of these websites are talking about their expertise and the solutions they provide. What you should do instead is shift away from yourself and start talking about your clients’ specific problems. Get inside their heads, communicate that you understand what kind of challenges keep them up at night. Only after you’ve talked about their problems do they care about your solution. Be different, be bold, and don’t be afraid to make a big claim. Making big claims A lot of people are afraid to make big claims out of a place of integrity. And while that’s appreciated, the business truth is you are competing against other people who suck, but are willing to make these claims. These people who suck can win business over you. What if you were making claims that you could actually back up? If the fear is that you can’t guarantee results for every client, maybe you shouldn’t be working with the kinds of clients you can’t create results for. What if you only worked with the top 20% of clients who get the very best results? Get enough leads coming in and you can say no to everyone except the best. This shifts the conversation into a sales one, and makes marketing a lot easier. Approach it as, “This is not for everybody, but maybe it’s for you. Maybe we should have a conversation about it, would you be interested in that?” And then it’s a matter of qualifying whether or not you can help them. At that point, sales become very easy. Your hook What you want to be doing is solving one problem for one potential type of client, with one customized solution. That’s your hook. How do you find this out? If you have a good body of work to draw from, take a look at your data. What kind of work do you do that produces the best results? Another way is to take a look at your top 20% clients and try to understand what made them successful. What did they have in place? What made it work so well?Only work with the type of clients that you can provide the maximum amount of value for. This is what’s going to allow you to double, triple, quadruple, even 10x your fees. Standardizing will bring in profits, but lower the value for the client. Customized services are high in value, but will keep pulling you back in. How do you strike a balance and find the sweet spot between a standardized and customized offer? Mark Divine served 9 years on active duty and 11 years on reserve as a US Navy SEAL before retiring as a commander in 2011. After his decorated career in the special forces, Mark went on the found Navyseals.com, launch US Tactical, and develop a revolutionary workout program known as SEAL Fit. He has also written multiple New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Amazon best-selling books. Favorite Success Quote “Undisturbed calmness of mind is attained by cultivating friendliness toward the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous, and indifference toward the wicked.” ~Patanjali Key Points 1. Focus On People’s Character Not their Acumen If you ever have the opportunity to sit down with any older businessmen or entrepreneurs and ask them the question “What was your biggest mistake”, nine times out of ten they will tell you that their biggest regret in business was trusting someone who they shouldn’t have trusted. You see, even outside of the realm of business, it’s easy to overlook people’s character flaws because of their other resources. I see many men fall into this trap in business, dating, and friendship. It’s easy to ignore the obvious red flags with your new employee because they are a monster salesman and you know that they will make you a lot of money (until they end up stealing it back). It’s easy to ignore a woman’s blatant character flaws because she’s wildly attractive and great in bed. It’s easy to ignore your friend’s unscrupulous behavior because he’s funny, rich, and always makes sure you have a good time. But if you want to mitigate risk and succeed at life, you must adopt a more cautious approach. Learn to focus on people’s character and their virtues, not just their raw talent. Because at the end of the day, it’s easier to train a virtuous man to become a good salesperson than it is to train a great salesperson to become a virtuous man. 2. Win the Morning Win the Day Mark attributes much of his success to the powerful morning rituals that he follows in order to get himself grounded and ready for the day. Something that surprised me is that Mark’s routine doesn’t take several hours, one hour, or even 30-minutes. He told me that he can complete his routine in 15-minutes on average and 5 if he’s really pressed for time. Each morning he spends a few minutes in silent meditation, then he will focus his intentions on his life vision and the daily tasks he needs to achieve to move closer to that vision, and finally, he will review the elements of his “ethos” or the guiding principles upon which he operates his life. And that’s it. Whatever your goals in life, you need to start your day in a powerful state to set yourself up to win the day and achieve your dreams. Personally, I try and start most mornings by watching something inspirational, reading a few pages of a classic book, journaling, focusing on gratitude, and incorporating some sort of physical exercise. How you develop your own morning routine will be unique to your dreams and vision, but what is important is that you have a morning routine and that it helps you get grounded and ready to go out and achieve your dreams. 3. Turn Failure Into Your Greatest Asset Many people believe that failure is a problem, that it’s a liability. But it’s not. Failure is actually one of your greatest assets and closest friends… When you use it properly and learn from it. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that failure is fun or that you should try and fail. Failure sucks, there’s nothing fun about it, and nobody wants to see their dreams and ambitions fail. But when you fail and trust me, you will fail, you have one of two options. You can whine and bitch and complain. Or you can dust yourself off, look at your failure objectively, and ask yourself “Ok, how can I do better next time?” Failure is only failure if you don’t learn from it, if you don’t grow from it, and if you don’t reframe it so that you see each failure as a valuable teacher, educating you about how to achieve your dreams. 4. Realize that Your Growth is Limited by Your Shadow There is an old saying that “A chain is only as strong as its weakest link”. And in the realm of personal growth, you are only as strong as your darkest parts. I see so many men today who walk through their lives trying to elicit personal growth by constantly pushing forward, suppressing the pain of the past, and ignoring the emotional trauma that has held them back. But the harsh reality of life is that you can only grow to the extent that you are willing to address your darkness or your shadow self. We all have a dark side, we’ve all been hurt, we all have deep wounds and pain whether we want to address them or not. And most men choose to ignore this dark side. They try and move on with their lives and pretend that everything is ok when, subconsciously, the pain and hurt of the past is holding them back from living the lives of their dreams. If you want to move forward in your life, if you want to truly succeed, if you want to open up to true intimacy and love and connection, then you must face your shadow. You must address the pain, you must conquer your darkness and learn to use it for good. Because if you don’t, you will constantly be haunted (consciously or subconsciously) by the parts of you that you dare not bring into the light. 5. Detach from the Details of the Outcome & Focus on the Vision One of the biggest mistakes that many men make is that they are more concerned with the details of the outcome than the outcome itself. For example, in the interview, Mark discussed his goal of impacting 100,000,000 lives. He told me that, while he is rigid in his vision, he has learned to be flexible in the details of achieving this outcome. For Mark, it doesn’t matter whether he impacts 10 people who go and change a million lives or whether he impacts a million people who go on to change 10 lives. He is adamant in his vision, but he is flexible in the approach. In your life and with your goals, you must adopt the same mentality. Yes, you should have a strong, crystal clear vision and end game, but you must be flexible about how you achieve that vision.

Growth does not happen in any particular order. Your Growth is to measured by Your Growth. Grow on purpose
This is the first episode of many in a series called ‘the steps to success’. What is success? Everyone has an idea about what success means to them. What we will be talking about here is success on all areas of your life. This includes the level of your achievements, the results you produce, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health and physical fitness, your income, your net worth, your happiness or anything that is important to you! This is not easy. Over the next few episodes we will break down the key elements which have been proven to deliver great success in people lives. Hopefully you will gain a lot of knowledge through this series. They say that knowledge is power, however I slightly disagree. You can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you do nothing with it then it is useless. This is why I want to give you the practical tools as well to use the knowledge gained in this series to make an impact. So, what causes success? Intelligence, drive, taking risks or luck? I thought that surely these would be what it takes. However, Stanford Psychologist found that the predictor of success in life is someone’s Mindset. Today, we start with the first building block – which is your Mindset! The first step to overall success requires getting the right mindset! When I first heard this years ago, I was sceptical. I was doing a lot of research into key elements of success and mindset kept coming up. Mindset determines your view of yourself and the world. But, why is viewing the world differently important, isn’t it what you do that matters? This is very correct, but your mindset controls what you do and how you act in most cases such as failures or setbacks. What is a mindset? Basically, it is the sum of knowledge and experiences to this point in your life. So, you have spent you whole life to develop your current mindset. If you think the world is awful, you will have an awful life. We see a lot of information now with the internet. This is great as you can access all the information you could ever want, however a lot of information we see is negative. News story are typically negative so seeing the news of 7 billion people can be overwhelming. Seeing more negative information over time will slowly seep into your mindset. There is a theory created by an Anthropologist called Dunbar’s number. This is meant to be the number of people we can maintain a stable relationship with, which is only 150. So even taking in the news feed from your Facebook friends can exceed this. There are two types of mindsets: People either have a Fixed or Growth mindsets, or sometimes a little bit of both depending on the situation. If you were to try sometime new, your fixed mindset would say; ‘What if you fail?’ Or ‘I can’t do that!’. Your Growth mindset would say; ‘Everyone fails, if I do I can learn from it so how can I do it?’. The way you interact with you Mindset is your internal voice. On average, we speak about 125 words per minute. We can listen to around 400-500 words per minute. However, we can think to ourselves around 1,300 words per minute. Based on this, you technically talk to yourself more than anyone. So, if you have a negative internal voice you have a negative mindset as on average you will put yourself down. Now that we have run through the basics, here are the steps to change your mindset: 1) Learn to hear your inner voice. The first step is to pay attention. Your mind is a bundle of thoughts and interpretations which form your mindset. It is hard to change your inner voice if you don’t know what it is saying. If it is being negative then it is important to first realise this before any change can be made. Take a journal of your thoughts every day for a week. Just write it down on your phone if you think something negative. 2) Examine your current beliefs and track what you talk to yourself about! We all have beliefs. Beliefs about ourselves, our place in the world and the world itself. Along with our good beliefs, we have self-limiting beliefs as well. Some self-limiting beliefs are around money. Through your own upbringing and relationship with money, you can develop a limiting belief to money. What is money anyway? It is simply a median of exchange. Should it change the way you think? Well hopefully it doesn’t because there is nothing bad about it, it allows you to do more. It’s about what you do, not the money you have. We also have self-limiting beliefs about ourselves. This comes back to that internal voice we were discussing earlier. Think about the way you talk to yourself. If you make a mistake, do you just blame yourself, or do you think about how it can be avoided in the future? Belief in yourself is important. This helps determine what you think is true and possible. Believe you can do anything you want! 3) Recognise that you have a choice. How you react to any situation is a choice. Therefore, you have a choice to change your mindset and the way you think. While your current mindset has crept up on you due to life experiences, you can still change this. This doesn’t happen overnight. In fact, this will be the topic of the next podcast on taking 100% responsibility. Choose growth and believe you can. 4) Talk back to your negative thoughts! If your internal voice is negative then talk back to it with something positive. Think of it as a debate against yourself. Your negative thoughts make a point and it is up to the positive thoughts to rebut, not the other way around. You have to also align with your vision, purpose and goals which will be covered in another episode. 5) Try to avoid negative information. If you start taking in positive information, eventually your brain will filter this and will reflect in your outlook on life! Cut out any negative news or gossip from your life. PS Sorry for the poor audio quality in this episode! My normal microphone broke so had to use a backup. The next episode will be better quality!
