It was a packed week for Xbox. From laying our eyes on Starfield's new dialogue system to a new Xbox console teased by Phil Spencer, there is much to analyze. Joining us for this week's episode is Dad Of Xbox: Jez Corden! He fits like a glove in this episode as much of what we discuss began with his own leaks. As mentioned at the top, Phil Spencer's shelves have struck again and hiding within there is a prototype for what has been codenamed "Xbox Keystone." It is reported that this new cloud device is targeting the $100 price point and will include a controller alongside it. Xbox has gone back to the drawing board multiple times on a cloud prototype, but if Phil's shelf is to be trusted then it seems they're almost there with a working version. We almost comb through the exchanged statements between the CMA and Microsoft in regards to the Xbox-Activision merger. One that the CMA seems to have PlayStation's best interests at heart on. Are their concerns fair? The Dukes dig through the legal documents to find out. Plus more on XCloud Gaming, Starfield, Obsidian's refusal of Fallout, and much more! As well the panel will be discussing Microsoft's new PC initiatives for "Designed for Xbox Series X" monitors. Linked to that are also the new gaming features for Windows 11. Are these big improvements? The TXR crew will also be discussing recent key Xbox personnel comments on wanting to bring back Killer Instinct. Will they find the right developer for the fighting franchise? Featuring: GeneralMLD
Last year's E3 was a bit of a mess. And by mess, I mean, it was canceled because of the global pandemic and then everyone had their own solo events peppered throughout the summer without any rhyme, reason, or structure. Fast forward to 2021 and well… it's still kinda of a mess…? But at least most of the shenanigans are in the window of a few days. Jaurez and I break down the first weekend of 2021's all digital E3. First up, we cover Xbox dropping big news ahead of the show. They are committed to cloud services and want to go as far as our living room tv. Yes, straight to your tv without the need of a console. Is this a move? Will it work? We give our take on the outlook and our experiences so far with Xcloud Gaming. Geoff Keighley is back at it like a bad habit. No summer of games is complete without his hype and he did not disappoint. With the appearance of his BFF Kojima, some celebrities and Elden Ring, Summer Game Fest kicked off E3 properly. So which games stood out to us? And finally, but certainly not least, Xbox and Bethesda came out swinging. Following the record breaking acquisition, Tod Howard led the show off with Starfield, and Xbox/Bethesda kept the hits coming with easily the most well paced and expertly produced show of the entire weekend. Xbox has the games now, for sure, especially with it's continued push for gamepass, but which of those games are speaking to us? Yes, Halo spoke to us. All that and more on this packed episode….RIGHT NOW! Music: Electric Mantis - Daybreak https://youtu.be/Lz68DccWZ4U
