Here's a quick question for you. If your software can make decisions for your customers, should it, or should it simply make them smarter? In this episode of 10 Minute Tech Talks, you will get a front-row seat at the Pittsburgh Technology Council's 2026 Think!AI Summit. You're going to hear why some of the most advanced AI leaders in healthcare believe technology should recommend not rule. And by getting this wrong, can cost you trust adoption, possibly even the entire market. The Tech Council's CEO, Audrey Russo interviewed Jonathan Jungk of Palantir and Chris Johnson of TeleTracking to get their insights. They reveal that the goal isn't to replace human judgment. It is to elevate it. If your product makes users feel smarter, safer, and more confident, you win. If it makes them feel replaced. You lose. Produced by the Pittsburgh Technology Council, this is a podcast for tech and manufacturing entrepreneurs exploring the tech ecosystem, from cyber security and AI to SaaS, robotics, and life sciences, featuring insights to satisfy the tech curious.
This week on Freedom Family Friday, Austin and Stephanie break down the cultural shift nobody saw coming: people are ditching their smart homes. Electricians report rising demand to remove smart systems. Subscription doorbells. Thermostats that fail. Privacy risks. Digital fatigue. Is “convenience” quietly costing us control? But that's just the start.
What happens when our homes get smarter than ever… while we also crave going totally unplugged? In this episode of I AM HOME, the team explores a major shift shaping home life in 2026: design and lifestyle trends are moving in two very different directions at once. "Bells & Whistles" trends are making homes smarter with AI health tools, pet wearables, beauty gadgets and elevated kitchen upgrades, while "Less Bells & Whistles" is pushing back with fewer screens, more hands-on comfort and retro tech like turntables and CD players. The takeaway? The future of home isn't all high-tech or all unplugged – it's intentional, blending innovation with calm to create spaces that truly support everyday life. Resources: nfm.com/podcast

Divas, Diamonds, & Dollars - About Women, Lifestyle & Financial Savvy!
Marketing doesn't have to be complicated, expensive, or exhausting. Thanks to today's tools, even a solopreneur can build consistent visibility, grow an audience, and connect withclients—all without a big team or big budget. In this episode of Divas, Diamonds & Dollars, we're tackling one of the most overwhelming areas for multipreneurs: marketing. Too often, business owners burn themselves out trying to “do all the things,” when the real key is consistency, visibility, and connection. Technology makes that possible—without draining your wallet or your energy.Consistency Rules: The truth is, showing up regularly isoften harder than the actual marketing work. Solopreneurs especially struggle to keep up. But consistency doesn't have to mean “more.” It's about showing up smarter. That's where scheduling, automation, and repurposing come in. Tools like Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite can automate your posts, while email platforms like Mailchimp or ConvertKit keep you connected with your audience. And one piece of content can become many—a blog becomes a newsletter, a LinkedIn post, even a Reel.Visibility Without the Overwhelm: You don't have to be everywhere, all the time. Instead, focus on becoming “a little bit famous” in your area of expertise. Branding tools like Canva Pro make it easy to stay on brand across platforms. Video editing apps like OpusClips, CapCut, or InShot help youtransform long-form content into short, high-impact clips. And with SEO helpers like Ubersuggest or Keywords Everywhere, you can ensure your posts and blogs are optimized with the words your audience is actually searching for. From Interest to Connection: Ultimately, marketing isn't just about being seen—it's about building relationships that last. That's where community-building tools come in. Use landing page builders like ConvertKit, Leadpages, or Carrd to capture leads. Explore CRMs like HubSpot or Zoho to nurture those leads with email follow-up and automations. And don't forget to measure your impact—analytics tools like Google Analytics or IG Insights help you double down on what's actually working.Summary: Marketing is only as complicated as we make it. Focus on three goals: consistency, visibility, and connection. Choose tools that simplify your process, amplify your voice, and help you build authentic relationships. You don't need a 10-person team—you just need the right tools, used well.Your Action Item: This week, choose one area of your marketing—social posts, email, or community-building—and test one tech tool that can simplify it. Track the results, refine your process, and celebrate the extra time you buy back.

Sterile Processing Departments (SPDs) are the unsung backbone of surgical care — ensuring every instrument, tray, and tool is safe, sterile, and ready when needed. Yet, despite their vital role, SPD workflows often rely on manual processes and underrecognized best practices. As healthcare systems push for greater efficiency and staff well-being, SPD managers are turning to smarter tools to bridge that gap. Recent research underscores that inefficiencies in sterile processing can ripple through the entire surgical ecosystem, reinforcing why technology-driven improvements in inspection, tracking, and assembly are essential to reducing workflow disruptions and delays.Could technology be the key to unlocking new levels of accuracy and efficiency in sterile processing? And how are innovative SPD leaders using platforms like CensiTrac to save time, strengthen compliance, and boost team morale? That's the focus of this episode of ConCensis, hosted by Daniel Litwin, the Voice of B2B at MarketScale. Joining him is Amy Webb, Manager of Sterile Processing at Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, who shares her real-world strategies for improving department efficiency — from smart organization systems to leadership approaches that keep teams engaged. Together, they explore how digital tracking tools, data-driven insights, and a people-first mindset are transforming the SPD landscape.Key takeaways from the conversation…Organizational Overhaul: Webb explains how assigning each tray its own labeled container streamlined workflows, improved inventory visibility, and reduced search time for critical instruments.Human-Centered Management: Her leadership style prioritizes open communication, trust, and staff empowerment — creating buy-in that makes process innovation stick.Tech-Driven Efficiencies: By leveraging CensiTrac, Webb and her team can now automate documentation, monitor productivity in real time, and integrate performance data with hospital systems — cutting manual record-keeping and aligning SPD output with OR needs.Amy Webb is the Manager of Sterile Processing at Dignity Health, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience in sterile processing and surgical support. Beginning her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, she advanced through roles at Banner Health and Atlas Healthcare Partners before leading operations at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Certified in Sterile Processing and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Webb is known for her leadership in optimizing workflows and elevating SPD team performance.

It can also be used between client and lawyer once a case gets going to schedule appointments and collect payments.Tyson and Eric talk about the legal system's cautious approach to AI and where that hesitancy stems from. It stems from the creation of hallucinated cases that are not real and taking time away from people who really need help. We caught up with Ray Flickner at High Plains Journal Live, where he shared how his fifth-generation farm blends heritage with high-tech. From running three crops in two years to using cover crops for weed suppression and soil health, Ray's flexible and moisture-conscious approach proves that success isn't about rigid rules—it's about adapting with intent. The highlight? A deep dive into the Rain360 system—a mobile irrigation rig that's helping Ray make the most of limited water across irregular fields. It's not just talk; he's cutting water use by 40% compared to local averages. If you're farming in the Southern Plains or just looking for fresh ideas, this episode delivers practical, tested insights you can take straight to the field.Key Takeaways Ray Flickner farms 1,000 acres with a strong focus on irrigation efficiency and strip tilling. He operates with limited livestock in a region where integrating animals is logistically difficult.Ray uses wheat as a functional cover crop to maintain soil health and “living roots.”Cover crop termination timing is critical and must be adapted to seasonal moisture.Rain360 is a mobile, above-ground irrigation system designed for irregular fields and low water flow. The system can deliver both water and nutrients precisely where they're needed.Subsurface drip irrigation has helped Ray reduce water usage by approximately 40%.Strategic use of irrigation timing and moisture sensors boosts efficiency. The farm serves as a demonstration site for innovative irrigation practices.Ray's adaptive management style reflects a balance between innovation and practicality.Timestamps00:03:06 – Introduction to Ray Flickner and his background00:04:25 – Ray's family farm history and crop rotation strategy00:07:04 – Strip tilling advantages and fertilizer placement00:08:32 – Managing three crops in two years with limited moisture00:10:58 – Cover crop strategies and moisture-driven termination decisions00:14:41 – Installing and operating the Rain360 irrigation system00:20:00 – Water efficiency challenges with limited aquifer access00:26:49 – Beta testing setbacks and successes with new irrigation tech00:30:26 – Subsurface drip irrigation's impact on sustainability00:31:47 – Closing thoughts and reflections on farming innovation RedDirtAgronomy.com
