On this month's episode, we're going back to school and discussing the remake/sequel that no one really asked for -- 2016's Kindergarten Cop 2! Dolph Lundgren takes over for Arnold in this in-name-only sequel that hits all the beats of the 1990 comedy classic, while managing to miss much of what made the first film so charming. Lundgren plays Zack Reed, an FBI agent who must infiltrate a pricey elementary school in order to find a flash drive that will put away an Albanian gangster! Yet this won't be the easiest of assignments, as Reed is forced to tangle with the politically correct ways of his class of rambunctious six-year-olds! Returning to the show to help me chat this one is major cinefile, Nathan Burt! Just how disconnected is Dolph's FBI agent character from reality? What's with the bizarre Twix product placement? And in what ways is this sequel completely inferior to its predecessor? Listen in as Nathan and I head back to school to discuss the direct-to-video sequel, Kindergarten Cop 2!
