The release of five terrorism suspects in the UK less than two days after their arrest is a clear example of how the West is losing its way. Authorities say they are still trying to determine the suspects' motives, activities, and level of involvement in an alleged plot targeting a U.S. air base, yet they were released on bail under monitoring conditions. This reflects a broader problem of political correctness and a reluctance to directly address the role of Islamist extremism. Western societies have largely failed to recognize these trends of demographic changes in London, the growth of Muslim political representation in the United States, and the handling of this case is another example of an unwillingness to confront the issue directly. Later, we are winning the war in Iran even though many people may not feel like we're winning because higher gas prices make the conflict seem costly. Looking at recent events, leadership posturing, and the broader strategic picture, the situation is progressing better than it appears. China, Russia, and Iran operate as an aligned axis, and assessing the health of that network is key to understanding the conflict. Russia has suffered major setbacks, including severe damage to its refining capacity and a sharp decline in oil exports, creating both an energy and economic crisis. The broader strategic trends are signs that the axis is weakening and that we are closer to victory than most people realize. Finally, the economy is really a tale of two economies. On one hand, many people feel frustrated about affordability and believe the economy is struggling. On the other hand, the actual data shows a historic economic boom. Business activity in both services and manufacturing is at its strongest level in years, with demand surging and growth reaching levels not seen since 2015 outside of the post-COVID rebound. Corporate earnings are growing rapidly, GDP is projected to expand at a 5% annualized rate, poverty has fallen to a record low, and median household income has reached a record high while rising faster than inflation. Across nearly every major economic indicator, businesses are thriving and people at all income levels appear to be doing better. Having just returned from my annual visit to New York City, riding in a mobile billboard truck playing my latest music video for the Anniversary of 9/11, I had some epiphanies that I'm compelled to share. As The Terrorist Therapist® for the past 25 years, helping people cope with terrorism in America, London, Manchester, Paris and Israel, and warning that the threat is far from over, I found new meaning in the motto “Never Forget!” In the shadow of September 11, 2001, we swore to each other we would “Never Forget,” meaning originally that we would never forget the people who died, the heroes who swooped in and the love we felt for America. But, 25 years later, the memory has dimmed and too many Americans have forgotten the most important part: Terrorists wanted to destroy America - and they STILL DO! Osama bin Laden's son hasn't forgotten. He reportedly faked his death and is planning another attack. Yet we have Mamdani, a terrorist mayor in NYC, who refused to stay away from the Ground Zero ceremony, though he believes we “deserved" 9/11, and terrorists running for office all over America. Indeed, the Democratic party-an infusion of terrorists pseudo-bonding with Marxists-is gathering steam because we've forgotten! In this episode of my Terrorist Therapist show, I explain the factors at work causing Americans to forget and what we need to do to remember before it's too late! We are more in danger of terrorism now than before 9/11, but now the biggest danger is inside.

Twenty-five years after the September 11 terrorist attacks, Lisa Boothe sits down with Jeannette Pick, who was just nine years old when her father, Joseph Pick, was killed in the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Jeannette recounts the unimaginable experience of being at school in Hoboken, New Jersey, and watching the second plane strike the tower where her father was working on the 94th floor. She shares her memories of her dad—from playing football and tennis together to his love of comic books—and describes how those few minutes on September 11, 2001, have remained with her throughout her life. “For the country it’s once a year, but we all live it every day,” Jeannette tells Lisa, explaining why the anniversary remains so personal for the families of the 2,977 victims and why she believes future generations must continue learning about what happened that day. We're coming up on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and it had us thinking about an episode we produced in 2014. It's the story of one sentence, written in the hours after September 11th, 2001, that has led to the longest war in U.S. history. We examine how just 60 words of legal language have blurred the line between war and peace. In the hours after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, a lawyer sat down in front of a computer and started writing a legal justification for taking action against those responsible. The language that he drafted and that President George W. Bush signed into law—called the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF)—has at its heart one single sentence, 60 words long. Over the last decade, those 60 words have become the legal foundation for the "war on terror." In this collaboration with BuzzFeed, reporter Gregory Johnsen tells us the story of how this has come to be one of the most important, confusing, troubling sentences of the last two decades. We go into the meetings that took place in the chaotic days just after 9/11, speak with Congresswoman Barbara Lee and former Congressman Ron Dellums about the vote on the AUMF. We hear from former White House and State Department lawyers John Bellinger & Harold Koh. We learn how this legal language unleashed Guantanamo, Navy Seal raids and drone strikes.
