She began her professional career as a Pan Am stewardess from 1972 to 1974, an experience that gave her a global perspective and a deep appreciation for storytelling and human connection.After leaving Pan Am, Cheryl moved to San Franscico where she held various jobs. So, she packed her bags and moved to Hollywood. Over the decades that followed, Cheryl worked on the marketing, publicity, and release of some of the most iconic films in cinema history. Her credits include Forrest Gump, Titanic, The King's Speech, Braveheart, The Artist, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Right Stuff, Once Upon a Time in America, The Wedding Singer, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Spider-Man 2. She also worked on two Indiana Jones films and five Star Trek films.Behind the scenes, Cheryl broke significant barriers. A lawsuit brought by the AFT and others last summer resulted in a federal judge declaring the administration's attempt to outlaw “illegal discrimination” against white people, and requiring that districts and universities certify they don't practice DEI was enacted without following proper procedures. Just this month the administration declared they are dropping their appeal. This is one of numerous legal defeats the administration has suffered, however their fascist overreach continues, raising continued constitutional crises, and reinforcing the chilling effect of their racist agenda. Also, new research from scholars in New York state shows the lasting harm that ICE and DHS terrorism causes children who experience it themselves, or with a family member. Anxiety, depression, absenteeism, and chronic stress are likely just the tip of the iceberg. Thankfully a growing number of ed advocacy groups are speaking out against ICE terrorism and declaring it an existential threat to the safety of America's children and school communities. In 1908 Sweden was one of the poorest countries of Europe, the serf system (statare) was still in place, almost a quarter of the population had left for America, only Norway and Ireland saw people fleeing in greater numbers, those who stayed behind organized and the Swedish proletariat became during that decade one of the most prone to strike and violent action in the western world. In 1906 the Christmas or "December Compromise" had been signed by the social democrats and the industrialists. They sought to avoid a "Bloody Sunday" incident like the one in Russia the previous year. The compromise was considered by many a back-stab, for it gave the employers rather than the unions right to manage and allocate work and to freely hire and dismiss employees at whim. As the class struggle intensified the industrialists began hiring British strike-breakers in the multiple thousands. The strike-breakers where armed and dangerous, but though their violence was as a rule acquitted by the bourgeois courts, three young communists began planning to take justice in their own hands and show the traitors who was boss.

Clarence Singleton joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1967 while was still in high school. The valedictorian then went through boot camp at Parris Island and was eager to join the fight in Vietnam. He arrived in early 1968 and endured a major rocket attack on his first night there. He would be seriously wounded just days before his tour in Vietnam was set to end.Several years later, he joined the New York City Fire Department and ended up responding to both terrorist attacks against the World Trade Center in 1993 and 2001.In this edition of Veterans Chronicles, Singleton tells us how Parris Island changed him and prepared him for war. He describes combat in Vietnam and takes us through the day he was shot multiple times by enemy forces.Singleton then tells us about responding to the 1993 terrorist bombing at the World Trade Center and how he helped a woman going into premature labor. He also details rushing to the twin towers on 9/11 even though he had retired a year earlier and shares how he miraculously survived the collapse of the North Tower.

On 30 April 1980 six Iranian Arabs seized the Iranian Embassy in the center of London and took 26 people hostage.  They demanded the release of prisoners in Iran and safe passage out of the United Kingdom.  British authorities managed to get five hostages released in return for minor concessions, but time passed, and tensions rose.  On the sixth day, the hostage takers killed one of their captives.  This killing triggered the British to launch an assault to rescue the remaining hostages.  The roughly seventeen-minute assault was carried out by the British Army's Special Air Service.  Since all this took place in the center of London, the six-day siege and assault were viewed by the world.  Ben MacIntyre tells the story in, “The Siege: A Six-Day Hostage Crisis and the Daring Special-Forces Operation That Shocked the World”.

That is the military he wants to use against American civilians on American streets. That is the military he JUST used against American civilians on American streets in Minneapolis. ALSO: I DON'T MAKE THE RULES. Trump's renditioning of Nicolas Maduro from Venezuela means, simply, that any country that would like to send a squad to this country to abduct one of our leaders needs only to have first indicted Trump in their own country - and cut a deal with JD Vance to take over as presidency and swear fealty to their country.
