It's Fun Day Monday on The Majority Report On today's program: ABC's Jonathan Karl tells Mayor Zohran Mamdani that the Republicans will make him the face of the Democratic party to which Mamdani responds with, "let them". The mayor then lists all of the accomplishments of his administration - a list that would be impressive for an entire term, let alone in just under 7 months in office. Jen Psaki asks Rep. AOC to respond to Sen. Elissa Slotkin's call for the need for change in Democratic leadership. Cortez says that if elected officials are going to call for change, then they need to elaborate on what kind of change they're talking about. Do you want the party to be abashedly working class or do you want to deepen the ties between he parties and its corporate donors. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson holds a press conference where he reads the platform of the Democratic Socialists of America. Speaker Johnson fails at fear mongering as the platform sounds reasonable and includes some ideas that even conservatives would agree with. We are joined by Sufia Khalid, deputy director of the National Security Criminal Defense Center at the Muslim Legal Fund of America and an attorney for one of the Prairieland Nine—a group of anti-ICE protesters in Texas who were sentenced to 30 to 100 years in prison after federal prosecutors accused them of being an "antifa terror cell." Chris Geidner, journalist and publisher of the Law Dork newsletter, joins the program to discuss the past week's Supreme Court rulings. In the Fun Half: If one throws a Great American 250 State Fair in the Mall of DC but no one is around to see it, did it really happen? Fox News says that thousands of people are participating but unfortunately the camera shows that there aren't even hundreds of people at the fair. Meanwhile down the street from the fair at the reflecting pool the National Guard is patrolling for loiters as a recorded announcement warns people to keep it moving. Rep. Thomas Massie is stopped on the street by a Fox digital reporter and asked about some of his scandals to which Massie responds by calling the reporter gay. Senator Ted Cruz says that antisemitism is a gateway drug to anticapitalism. Renowned idiot Dave Smith blames the Iran war's historic unpopularity for the rise in socialism. All that and more. This week, Brad Onishi argues that a series of seemingly separate headlines point to a single political project: the construction of a white Christian homeland. He examines the unprecedented sentencing of the Prairie Land protesters under domestic terrorism charges, the Trump administration's growing use of "Antifa" as a catch-all label for political dissent, Supreme Court decisions affecting Temporary Protected Status, and the continued targeting of Haitian immigrants. Together, Brad argues, these developments reflect an effort to criminalize protest, narrow who belongs in America, and reshape citizenship around the ideals of white Christian nationalism. Brad also breaks down new efforts to restrict voting through the SAVE Act, analyzes the rhetoric of figures like Stephen Miller, Megyn Kelly, and Rep. Tom Emmer, and reflects on what Zohran Mamdani's growing political influence reveals about the future of the Democratic Party. Wrapping up the week, he shares reasons for hope, updates listeners on the launch of Access Daily, and explains why independent, expert journalism on religion and politics is more essential than ever. https://axismundinetwork.substack.com/ Listen to the Axis Daily Brief: Axis Daily Brief on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/axis-daily-brief/id1896931494https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/axis-daily-brief/id1896931494 Axis Daily Brief on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/033zp4MbwXJvxp6MoDkmtj?si=a758e87169e74ede Axis Daily Brief RSS Feed: https://api.substack.com/feed/podcast/1145852/s/400220.rss Available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever you get your podcasts. The $216 Billion Rebuild of Syria. Guest: Josh Rogin and Bill Roggio. Josh Rogin reports that Syria requires $216 billion for reconstruction following the fall of the Assad regime. He explains that US "State Sponsor of Terrorism" sanctions prevent American businesses from bidding on contracts, leaving an opening for Chinese and Russian technology to dominate the new government's infrastructure. 151910 SYRIA
Recommendations for a New Syria Policy. Guest: Josh Rogin and Bill Roggio. Josh Rogin recommends that the US prepare to lift the terrorism designation on Syria to support reconstruction and counter adversarial influence. He argues the current Al-Shara government is the only viable partner for stability and that US bureaucratic inertia is currently benefiting China, Russia, and Iran. 16DAMASCUS 1898
SCHEDULE THE JOHN BATCHELOR SHOW, 6-22-26.1787The Fog of Diplomacy in the Strait of Hormuz. Guest: Ambassador Hussain Haqqani and Bill Roggio. Guests discuss competing headlines regarding "progress" in US-Iran negotiations and ongoing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. Ambassador Haqqani notes neither side has achieved its original war aims, while Bill Roggio argues the US lacks the military will to reopen the Strait, leaving Iran with the strategic advantage. 1Pakistan as a Strategic Mediator. Guest: Ambassador Hussain Haqqani and Bill Roggio. John Batchelor examines Pakistan's role as a mediator between the United States and Iran. Ambassador Haqqani explains that Pakistan provided an "exit ramp" for the Trump administration by utilizing its unique access to the IRGC and Iran's power structure to facilitate communication and avoid further military escalation. 2Hamas Sidelined in Regional Talks. Guest: Samuel Ben-Ur and Bill Roggio. Samuel Ben-Ur explains why Hamas has been sidelined in recent Iranian negotiations compared to Hezbollah. Relations soured when Hamas failed to support Iranian strikes against Qatari targets. Currently, Hamas remains funded by Qatar and Turkey while maintaining a brutal "reign of terror" over the portions of Gaza it still controls. 3The Legality and Lethality of Armed Conflict. Guest: Henry Sokolski. Henry Sokolski analyzes a public memo from Admiral Brad Cooper regarding the legitimacy of lethal force. They discuss the necessity of proportionality in conflict, arguing that avoiding civilian targets like nuclear reactors is a military requirement for success, as destroying essential infrastructure alienates populations and complicates future operations. 4Latin America's Shift to the Right. Guest: Ernesto Araújo and Alejandro Peña Esclusa. Guests discuss the right-wing political shift in Latin America following Abelardo De La Espriella's apparent victory in Colombia. They compare his security-focused platform to the Bukele model in El Salvador, emphasizing a mandate to combat the organized crime that has historically penetrated the region's political systems. 5The Slow-Motion Coup in Bolivia. Guest: Ernesto Araújo and Alejandro Peña Esclusa. The segment addresses the crisis in Bolivia, where Evo Morales is accused of orchestrating a "slow motion coup" via blockades. Ernesto Araújo criticizes Brazilian President Lula's silence on the matter, while Alejandro Peña Esclusa suggests that regional support for the elected government may finally lead to Morales facing legal consequences. 6The Failure to Counter Chinese Influence. Guest: Bill Gertz and Gordon Chang. Bill Gertz details a GAO report revealing that the US spent $1.2 billion on countering Chinese influence without evaluating its impact. The discussion highlights the superior effectiveness of Chinese information warfare, which outspends the US significantly to shape global narratives while American efforts lack a cohesive strategy. 7The Crisis in Air Force Procurement. Guest: General Blaine Holt and Gordon Chang. General Blaine Holt critiques the broken US procurement system, specifically the Air Force's contradictory stance on retiring the A-10 Warthog while keeping the B-52 bomber for a century. He advocates for reform to break contractor monopolies, allowing the military to innovate faster and field cheaper equipment. 8Iran's Economic Demands in Switzerland. Guest: Jonathan Schanzer and Bill Roggio. Jonathan Schanzer argues that Iran is seeking a systemic economic lifeline through billions in unfrozen assets. He criticizes recent US oil waivers as a sign of caving to pressure. Iran aims to link a Lebanon ceasefire to negotiations to delay nuclear discussions and drive a wedge. 9Resurgent Piracy in the Gulf of Aden. Guest: Bridget Toomey and Bill Roggio. Bridget Toomey reports a resurgence of Somali piracy, with three ships recently captured for ransom in the Gulf of Aden. Bill Roggio links this spike to Al-Shabaab's growth and suggests that pirate networks may be coordinating with the Houthis to facilitate weapons smuggling and increase regional instability. 10The Flaws of the Iran Memorandum. Guest: Edmund Fitton-Brown and Bill Roggio. Edmund Fitton-Brown critiques the current US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding, calling it a failure of negotiation that incorporates "every Iranian trick." He argues Iran's core goals—the destruction of Israel and the expulsion of US influence—remain unchanged, and that the US has displayed a defeatist lack of patience. 11Eurasian Interests in Middle East Conflict. Guest: Edmund Fitton-Brown and Bill Roggio. Guests discuss how Russia and China are benefiting from America's Middle East difficulties, often frustrating US objectives on the nuclear file. Fitton-Brown notes the Europeans have been "anemic," failing to coordinate a forceful naval presence to ensure the Strait of Hormuz remains reliably open for global energy trade. 12Ukraine's Military Manpower Crisis. Guest: John Hardie and Bill Roggio. John Hardie discusses Ukrainian military reforms aimed at addressing the manpower crisis by clarifying pay and contract lengths. While intended to prevent desertion, there is skepticism that the government can fulfill promises to discharge long-serving troops without risking a collapse of the front lines against Russia. 13Hezbollah's Shadow Banking System. Guest: Ahmad Sharawi and Bill Roggio. Ahmad Sharawi examines Al-Qard Al-Hassan, Hezbollah's financial arm that provides social services and interest-free loans outside the official banking system. Although Israel has targeted its branches, the Lebanese government is hesitant to shut it down, allowing it to sustain the group's operations through gold-backed financing. 14The $216 Billion Rebuild of Syria. 15Recommendations for a New Syria Policy. American Enterprise Institute Senior Fellow Christopher J. Scalia is in for Jim Geraghty on the Friday 3 Martini Lunch. Today, Chris and Greg dissect the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran, note the arrest of a "Dreamer" for the UFC terror plot just as Michelle Obama was extolling the Dreamer program, the deliciously bitter infighting among Virginia Democrats, and Mr. Scalia's latest book.First, they dig into the memorandum of understanding with Iran and react to arguments opposing and supporting it. Chris and Greg share their concerns over the vagueness of the language on the nuclear matters, the money poised to flow into Iran, what's next in the Straits of Hormuz, and why this agreement or a more formal deal is unlikely to hold.Next, they contrast Michelle Obama praising her husband's DACA or "Dreamer" program granting legal status to illegal immigrants who were brought here as minors with the news that a "Dreamer" was just arrested for allegedly leading a terrorist plot against the UFC event at the White House. Chris also shares his thoughts on the opening of the Obama Presidential Center. Then, Chris and Greg pop the popcorn as top Democrats in Virginia are fighting with each other over several major issues and making it clear how much they don't like each other. But Chris warns there could be a major downside for conservatives from this dysfunction on the left. Finally, Chris tells us about his latest book 13 Novels Conservatives Will Love (but Probably Haven't Read) and how conservative ideas and characters are found in popular literature. Please visit our great sponsors:Brooklyn BeddingGet 30% off sitewide Brooklyn Bedding with promo code 3ML at https://BrooklynBedding.comPocket HoseFor a limited time, get two free gifts—a 360° rotating pocket pivot and a thumb drive nozzle—when you buy the Pocket Hose Ballistic; just text MARTINI to 64000, message and data rates may apply.BetterHelpYou don't have to say yes to everything this summer. National Review Senior Editor Charles C.W. Cooke, who hosts the Charles C.W. Cooke Podcast, fills in for Jim on the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch. Join Charlie and Greg as they break down the FBI thwarting a terrorist attack aimed at the UFC-White House event, the ridiculous ranked choice voting system, Hillary Clinton's revisionist comments on Biden's 2024 re-election bid, and the opening of Barack Obama's presidential library.First, Charlie and Greg react to the alleged plot of a drone and sniper attack at the UFC America 250 event thwarted days in advance by the FBI. Five suspects have been arrested, and at least 23 Signal users are believed to have discussed the scheme on the encrypted app. Charlie emphasizes that drone technology is drastically changing security protocols.Next, Charlie and Greg scrutinize the convoluted ranked choice voting system, illustrated by elections in Alaska and Washington, D.C. Charlie argues that election laws become problematic when average citizens struggle to understand how votes are counted and how winners ultimately emerge. Then, they cover Hillary Clinton's recent remarks saying President Joe Biden made a “terrible mistake” by running for re-election in 2024. Hillary is the latest Democrat trying to rewrite history after staunchly backing Biden. Finally, Charlie and Greg poke fun at the hideous Obama Presidential Museum and look back at his real presidential legacy. Please visit our great sponsors:Brooklyn BeddingGet 30% off sitewide Brooklyn Bedding with promo code 3ML at https://BrooklynBedding.com Noble Gold Download the free investor kit. This episode is presented by Create A Video – We are learning today of a planned mass murder attack on the UFC event held on the White House lawn on Sunday. The FBI announced the arrest of five suspects, but there could be almost two-dozen more conspirators involved in the attack. According to law enforcement, the attackers planned to use explosive drones to hit nearby buildings, cause a panic, then shoot people as the fled to one area. A second phase would storm the White House gates in an attempt to "overthrow the government." The FBI says the participants in the planning claimed the government was under the control of AIPAC, Israel, Jewish people, and that Trump was covering up for Jeffrey Epstein. But don't call it stochastic terrorism!Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-pete-kaliner-show--6946691/support.Subscribe to the podcast My preferred podcast platform: SpreakerAll the links to Pete's Prep are free!Get exclusive content here!Media Bias Check: GroundNews promo code!Advertising and Booking inquiries: Pete@ThePeteKalinerShow.com

In Episode 485 of The Andrew Parker Show, Andrew Parker examines the escalating tensions surrounding Iran and argues that the world is at a pivotal moment in history.Andrew contends that the Iranian people have endured decades of oppression under the Islamic Republic and that the current geopolitical landscape presents a rare opportunity to challenge one of the world's most influential state sponsors of terrorism. He questions whether negotiated agreements with the Iranian regime can ever produce lasting peace and argues that true regional stability requires confronting the forces that have fueled conflict throughout the Middle East for decades. The discussion explores U.S. foreign policy, the role of leadership, the future of Israel and its neighbors, the influence of Iran's regional proxies, and what Andrew believes are the long-term consequences of choosing short-term political comfort over strategic action.Andrew also previews upcoming conversations with Minnesota congressional candidate Eric Pratt and Congressman Brad Finstad as The Andrew Parker Show continues its coverage of politics, Israel, public policy, and the law.Subscribe for weekly conversations on politics, Israel, current events, public policy, and legal issues shaping our world today.Support the showThe Andrew Parker Show - Politics, Israel & The Law. At a moment when national politics are testing the boundaries of constitutional protections and human dignity, local communities are asking a vital question: What can we do to protect one another? Town Hall Seattle and The Stranger present the March 19 edition of the Speaking of Seattle civic conversation series, an evening focused on immigrant rights, community responsibility, and the everyday actions that help safeguard our neighbors. This timely conversation explores how federal immigration enforcement policies ripple through local communities — and how ordinary people can respond with care, courage, and solidarity. Together, we examine what it means to treat immigrant rights as human rights, and how community members can act lawfully, safely, and effectively when confronted with fear-based tactics and unconstitutional overreach. Host Marcus Harrison Green is the publisher of Hinton Publishing, the founder of the South Seattle Emerald, and a columnist with The Stranger. Growing up in South Seattle, he experienced first-hand the impact of one-dimensional stories on marginalized communities, which taught him the value of authentic narratives. After an unfulfilling stint in the investment world during his twenties, Marcus returned to his community with a newfound purpose of telling stories with nuance, complexity, and multidimensionality with the hope of advancing social change. This led him to become a writer and found the South Seattle Emerald. An award-winning journalist, he was awarded the Seattle Human Rights Commissions' Individual Human Rights Leader Award for 2020 and named the inaugural James Baldwin Fellow by the Northwest African American Museum in 2022. Panelists Angelina Snodgrass Godoy is Helen H. Jackson Endowed Chair in Human Rights and Director at the Center for Human Rights at the University of Washington. She is Associate Professor of International Studies at the Henry M. Jackson School, Associate Professor of Law, Societies, and Justice, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Sociology. A sociologist by training, her research focuses on human rights in Central and Latin America. Godoy teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in human rights in both the Law, Societies, and Justice program and in the Jackson School of International Studies. Roxana Norouzi is a longtime immigrant rights leader with 20 years of experience in organizing, advocacy, and social justice work with immigrant and refugee communities. She currently serves as Executive Director of OneAmerica, where she first began as an organizing intern 12 years ago and later led education policy efforts that won major state and local victories and secured millions in funding for multilingual education. Over the past decade, she has helped guide OneAmerica through a transformational shift toward deeper grassroots organizing, strategic policy campaigns, and building political power. Roxana is also a clinical instructor at the University of Washington School of Public Health. She earned her MSW from UW and was awarded the Bonderman Fellowship, which took her to 20 countries to study post-conflict regions, migration, and identity. As a first-generation American, her work is grounded in a deep commitment to racial equity and immigrant justice. Erika Evans is the first African American and first person of color to serve as Seattle City Attorney. A graduate of the University of Washington and Seattle University School of Law, Erika began her career in the Seattle City Attorney's Office before serving as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Department of Justice's Terrorism and Violent Crimes Unit and as Civil Rights Coordinator until March 2025, when she resigned following federal policy changes she opposed. She has also served as a pro tem municipal court judge in three Washington jurisdictions. Erika is a past president of the Loren Miller Bar Association and co-chair of the Washington Leadership Institute. Seattle City Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck is known for bringing people together around practical solutions and delivering results. A graduate of Syracuse University and the University of Washington's Evans School of Public Policy and Governance, Rinck built her career as a community organizer and policy leader. She has advanced campaign finance reform, supported public health and human services policy across 38 cities during COVID-19, and held leadership roles at the Sound Cities Association and the King County Regional Homelessness Authority. As a councilmember, she created a dedicated Committee on Federal Policy Changes to respond to federal threats to Seattle and has championed union-built social housing, immigrant rights, and progressive revenue solutions. Presented by Town Hall Seattle and The Stranger.

Before joining the FBI, Eric Robinson spent 12 years in Christian ministry. He then embarked on an extraordinary 24-year career in federal law enforcement, investigating everything from white-collar crime and public corruption to counterterrorism, gang activity, narcotics trafficking, and crimes against children. Along the way, he served as a SWAT operator, firearms instructor, and tactical trainer. What makes Eric's story especially compelling is not simply the breadth of what he experienced, but the perspective he brought to the job. His years in ministry equipped him with something many investigators never develop: a deep understanding of human nature, trust, redemption, and the hidden stories people carry beneath the surface. That unique foundation shaped the way he built relationships with informants, conducted investigations, and navigated some of the darkest corners of society. It also influenced how he processed the moral complexity, danger, and emotional weight that often accompany a life in law enforcement. In this fascinating conversation, Eric reflects on the intersection of faith and justice, the realities of investigating terrorism and violent crime, the psychology of those who operate outside the law, and what decades of confronting humanity at its best and worst have taught him about courage, character, and the human condition.#LivingToBePodcast #EricRobinson #FBI #FaithAndPurpose #HumanNature #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #Spirituality #Counterterrorism #TrueCrime #LawEnforcement #Resilience #FaithInAction #PurposeDrivenLife #PodcastLife #MeaningAndPurpose #Character #Courage #Redemption #LifeLessonsConnecting with Eric Robinson:Instagram:

What has caused the rise in political violence in the United States that culminated with the January 6 insurrection? In part, our government's uneven and counterproductive responses to jihad terrorism. After 9/11, U.S. policy was disproportionately harsh toward Muslims while being comparatively lenient toward violence committed by far-right actors. This imbalance, according to our guest, Laura Dugan, Ph.D., professor of sociology at The Ohio State University, created both backlash and blind spots. On one hand, aggressive policies—mass detentions and heightened surveillance—fueled resentment and contributed to the global spread of extremist movements. On the other, the failure to consistently label as “terrorism” acts of violence committed by white perpetrators and punish them signaled a degree of tolerance, or at least inconsistency, in law enforcement. This disparity helped normalize far-right extremism and allowed it to grow largely unchecked.Terrorism should be defined by behavior, not identity. Using a widely accepted definition—violence or the threat of violence for political purposes—Dr. Dugan argues that parts of the January 6 attack clearly meet the threshold for terrorism, particularly the organized efforts to disrupt the certification of a presidential election. At the same time, she distinguishes between the planners of the event and the individuals who may have been swept up in the moment without intent to commit terrorism.Far-right extremism has deep historical roots, dating back decades through movements like the Ku Klux Klan and anti-government militias. These groups have long promoted an “us versus them” worldview, often fueled by perceived existential threats. Political rhetoric that reinforces these fears—especially language that “others” specific groups—can amplify and legitimize extremist beliefs.Focusing only on behavior, without understanding underlying grievances and ideologies, limits the ability to intervene early. Effective policy requires proportional responses, consistent accountability, and leadership that avoids dehumanizing language and instead encourages dialogue across divisions.

The United States has poured billions into the United Nations to fund relief works, but not all that money goes where you might think. Years of impunity have allowed murder, rape, kidnapping and fraud to flourish in the UN system, yet the UN Secretary General and his team have stonewalled investigations, invoked "privileges and immunities" to shield employees, and protected the worst of the worst. And then there's UNRWA, where investigations report as many as 1,500 employees are members of Hamas, some of whom participated directly in the October 7th attacks on Israel. The USAID Inspector General, operating independently from the State Department, is digging into the corruption and fraud buried inside the UN system and within its ranks. In a break from our usual call for Congress to do its job, we're giving credit where it's due: Members are shining a light on this issue but while Congress requires vetting when writing checks to these agencies, legal requirements are regularly ignored by both Republicans and Democrats in the Executive Branch. The UN's broad "privileges and immunities" have become a cover for taxpayer funded grift and a shield for inexcusable crimes. What can be done to support these investigations? And why continue funding UN agencies with a proven record of violating American law and American national security? Adam Kaplan is the acting Associate Deputy Inspector General at the U.S. Agency for International Development. He works with senior administration officials and Congress to ensure effective oversight of U.S.-funded foreign assistance, with a focus on preventing fraud, corruption, and diversion of humanitarian aid by terrorist organizations. Specializing in oversight of billions of dollars in foreign assistance to Gaza and Ukraine, Adam works with U.S., bilateral, and multilateral agencies to ensure that OIG's criminal investigators have access to information necessary to conduct their criminal, civil, and administrative investigative work. Prior to this role, Adam served as OIG's deputy general counsel, supporting criminal investigators and the Department of Justice on criminal investigations, False Claims Act cases, and suspension/debarment actions.
