The Beyond the Profile podcast does an exceptional job of bringing in individuals from all walks of life who share their unique insights into how they have merged their passion with their careers. This podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in peering behind the curtain of intimidating or seemingly unattainable jobs. Each episode provides quick listens packed with valuable information, and host Sheiny does an excellent job guiding the interviewees to share the information that listeners truly want to know.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is its incredible variety in interviews. The guests come from diverse backgrounds, offering a wide range of perspectives and experiences. It's fascinating to learn about their different journeys and the paths they took to arrive at their current positions. The host, Sheiny, asks insightful questions that go beyond surface-level inquiries, allowing listeners to gain a deeper understanding of these individuals' career trajectories. In fact, sometimes it feels like I learn just as much from the questions as I do from the answers themselves.

Another great aspect of this podcast is Sheiny's skill as a host. He keeps the conversations engaging and flowing smoothly in interesting directions. The episodes cover a variety of topic areas, providing solid exposure to different industries and professions. It's not just about self-help or landing your dream job; it's about exploring different career possibilities and finding inspiration in unexpected places.

While there really aren't any "worst" aspects to this podcast, some listeners may be expecting more specific guidance or advice on how to pursue their own dreams or navigate certain career paths. However, that doesn't detract from the value of this show. The focus here is more on storytelling and showcasing individuals' unique experiences rather than providing step-by-step instructions for achieving success.

In conclusion, The Beyond the Profile podcast is fantastic! It offers a refreshing perspective on careers by highlighting personal stories and journeys rather than simply focusing on traditional success metrics. Sheiny has created an enjoyable and insightful podcast that not only expands listeners' career horizons but also provides an hour of entertainment and inspiration. If you're looking for a podcast that delves into the stories behind people's careers, this is definitely one to add to your playlist.

Jen Kranjec, Health and Nutrition coach and founder of LearnToLift.com, joins Sheiny to discuss jumping right into her passion in helping others further understand nutrition and weightlifting. We go into depth as to why she took a risk and how she's carving out her own niche in an already saturated fitness market, how she's found her own sense of motivation as a young entrepreneur to drive her, and what she's found learning from her clients on how to not only evolve her business but how she can further better herself in the process. We go deeper into her passion of helping others achieve their health and nutrition goals, the trials and tribulations she's gone through working on her own right out of school, and the gratification she feels leading her clients to find their own happiness in their lives.  Beyond the Profile is a podcast where we discuss hard-hitting career stories with professionals of all ages. We're looking to get into the nitty gritty when it comes to breaking down our guests' career paths, why did they choose the industry/company they work for, where did their passions come from, and what are they looking to do to make a difference in the future for the work they're involved in. This is a chance for all of us to learn and potentially implement how these guests go about their business, decision-making, and ultimately how they found a love for their craft. Trevor Lynn, now Senior Director of Product Marketing at Cvent, joins Sheiny for a follow-up Part 2 discussion. Since the first episode was recorded in 2019, we thought it was best to have an updated conversation on everything that has been going on since March. Everyone's lives have changed. It's a more stressful time in the US with a global pandemic, racial injustices, and an election right around the corner. To that point, none of us have ever gone through something like this. How do we handle working from home? How should we be treating our colleagues and partners now that office culture is minimal? What are we doing to help ourselves during this tough time? I wanted to follow up with Trevor to get his answers and opinions on the matter. Since there is no blueprint on how to handle this situation, the best thing we can do is learn from others and continue trying and failing new practices to find something that fits our new lifestyle. We're all still on the clock and our companies need us to be the best we can be, but it's still ok not to be ok. So what sorts of things can we do to better ourselves? We go into depth as to why he chose the path of working at a small startup in the DC area right after college, how he got into Sales/Marketing right after college when he was a Finance major, what his management style is like, how that style was developed in his early 20s, and how he uses that same style today. We go further into how he found his passion of working with early stage startups, getting his hands dirty right from the get-go, and his hunger to learn from the very best in the industries that he's involved in.
