The Celtics BEAT THE HEAT 147-129 tonight. If you like defense, this was not the game for you lol. The Celtics beat the Thunder 119-109 in a must see tv matchup! JB got the better of SGA in the MVP Matchup but Tatum may have been the story in this one. We got to see the next iteration of Tatum's minutes restriction increasing from 32 minutes to 35 and he looked fantastic in those minutes. The Celtics lose the Timeberwolves 102-92 in a game where Anthony Edwards didn't even play. Holding any team to 102 points should result in a win. The Celtics shot 36% from the field and just 27% from 3. They also only took 33 3pt attempts so their shot profile was very off from what we typically see. The Celtics beat the Wizards 111-100 in a less than impressive showing BUT there were still some big bright spots to talk about! JAYSON TATUM IS BACK!! That is the story. The Celtics rolled the Mavs 120-110 but the story of the game is that Jayson Tatum is back and he looks good! The Celtics lose to Luke Kornet and the Spurs 100-95. The Celtics, who have the most efficient offense in NBA history gets held to just 95pts on 41% from the field, 36% from 3 and only 4FT attempts... White and JB both did their thing scoring 29 and 27 respectively despite neither of them being particularly efficient but outside of that, the Celtics didn't get a lot of help. The Celtics beat the Raptors 125-117 improving to 24-13 on the season! This was a game where you got contributions up and down the roster. Pritchard led the way with a team high 27pts and 8ast but also added 5 reb. JB, while not as efficient as normal, added 25pts 8reb 7ast. The Celtics also scored 125pts while only taking 28 3pt attempts. This was certainly a fun game to watch. The Celtics come into this game as one of the hottest teams in the NBA playing against a Nuggets team without Jokic and walk out with a 114-110 loss. Jamal Murray absolutely ripped apart the Celtics defense and ended up with 17 assists!!! Peyton Watson, who averages 12PPG ended the night with 30pts on 6-7 from 3 and was a walking bucket all night. The Boston Celtics beat the Bulls 115-101 improving to 23-12 and move into 2nd place in the Eastern Conference after the Knicks got waxed by Detroit! Anfernee Simons led the way scoring tonight with 27pts all of which came in the 2nd half! He started this game 0-3 from beyond the arc and went on to hit 8 for his next 11!!! Pritchard also played really well in this scoring 21pts including a buzzer beater over 3 guys to conclude the 2nd quarter and then went off for 11pts in the 3rd. The Celtics didn't get a whole lot from JB or White from a scoring perspective but that is almost what makes this win even more fun. The Celtics beat the Kings 120-106 but this game was much closer than the score shows. The Celtics closed this game out with a 32-18 4th quarter really putting the Kings away. The 4th quarter was powered by 14pts from White and 8 from JB but this was a game that was really controlled by our bench. Hauser and Simons both provided a huge scoring punch with 15pts and 14pts respectively and Garza even chipped in 11. While Baylor and Hugo both only scored 3pts, their imprint was also on this game with their energy. The Celtics lose 114-108 to the Trail Blazers because of some costly turnovers and offensive rebounding. JB continued his stretch of 30+ pt performances tying Larry Bird for a franchise record 9 consecutive games and even passed Bill Sharman for 12th all time in franchise scoring but it was a bit over shadowed tonight by the turnovers down the stretch. After a tough first quarter where the Celtics gave up 39pts after a 6-6 from 3 start from the Pacers, the Celtics calmed down and blew the doors off the Pacers 140-122. JB scored 30pts continuing his ridiculous run scoring 30+ in 8 straight games which is just 1 shy from tying Larry Bird all time. Hauser balled out hitting his first 7 3s.
