The Boston Celtics earlier this week made the signings of Kemba Walker and Enes Kanter official by having the press conference to introduce the 2 newest members of the Boston Celtics to Celtics Nation alongside Celtics GM Danny Ainge, Head Coach Brad Stevens and Celtics Ownership. This was just a few days after the Celtics Summer League team lost in the 1st round of the NBA Summer League Playoffs after going into the Summer League Playoffs as the #1 seed. So tonight on Celtics Talk Radio we will let you hear the audio of the press conference as well as audios of 1 on 1 intervies that were done after the press conference was done. We will also discuss our feelings about the roster overall. Daniel and Igor did do a video chat which you can now see on the Celtics Talk Radio Youtube Channel giving their thoughts about the performances of the key players on the Celtics Summer League team however tonight we get the thoughts of our guest in regards to those same questions and disuss if what we saw in the Summer League is enough to win any of them a spot in the main rotation come October. We will be joined by Bobby Manning (@RealBobManning on twitter) Celtics Reporter for CLNS Media. Also Matt Rury (@TeamGreenTruth on Twitter) Host of the Celtics Post Game Show on CLNS

Guerschon Yabusele appears to bee the odd man out with the Celtics this summer. He's being waived, as Boston clears space for four rookie draft picks and potentially big man Tacko Fall. The Celtics moved to 3-0 in Summer League play last night behind another strong outing by rookies Carsen Edwards and Grant Williams. Brad Stevens and Gordon Hayward – who is the apple of the Celtics' eye at the moment – obviously go back a ways, back to more than 10 years ago, in fact, when Stevens – as an assistant at Butler – began recruiting Hayward, who was a skinny junior in high school at the time. How much will the Stevens/Hayward history factor into Hayward's decision to leave Utah? The Jazz - in an effort to create more cap space, and perhaps keep Hayward in the fold - acquired Ricky Rubio from Minnesota today. Plus, Kelly Olynyk receives a qualifying offer, Blake Griffin experiences difficulties in scheduling, and Celtics Summer League action begins Monday.
The NBA Summer League is officially over. The Boston Celtics were 1 of 24 teams involved in the competiton. A competition that saw 8 of the 24 teams get to skip round 1 while the remaining 16 teams had to go at it to see who would face off against those same 8 teams in round 2. the winners of round 2 would advance to round 3 which would be the final 4 teams of the competition. The winners of the round 4 games would meet in the championship match. So where did the Celtics finish. Did they manage to win the Las Vegas competition the same way they won the Utah competition. Or did the team's hope of being #1 fall short. Meanwhile the Pro Boston Celtic's are back in the headlines as the latest reports have said Danny Ainge was working on a trade to bring Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin to Boston. There have been conflicting reports though as to the rest of the deal. Some reports have said its a deal between Boston and Los Angeles while others say a 3rd team which would be the Sacramenton Kings are also involved in the deal. The Celtics Talk Crew will break down what has happened in regards to that situation. Did the Celtics manage to get Blake Griffin or did they fall short again just like they did with Jimmy Butler. The crew will get the opionions of CLNS Radios Ty Ray and Nick Gelso
The NBA off-season is still red hot, both in the rumor mill and on the court in NBA Summer League out in Las Vegas. Are the Boston Celtics on the verge of something massive? Could their next super team feature Blake Griffin and Russell Westbrook to go along with Al Horford? Who would go and who would stay on this current Celtics roster? Michael Smith, former Celtics and current Los Angeles Clippers color commentator goes over it all on the Blake Griffin trade front. Are the Clips really interested in breaking up their team? If so, what would it cost on Boston's end? Is it worth it for the Celts? Would a Griffin-Westbrook-Horford group be a title team? And that's not all. Brian Robb was in Las Vegas and chatted up with CLNS Radio's own Jared Weiss to give the lowdown on the NBA Summer League and what to make of many of the young Celtics' performance. It's all on this week's edition of Celtics Beat. Brought to you by Blue Apron, audiblepodcast.com/celtics, Casper, and American Farmer's Network.
