God hears and uses our prayers, however big or small, to impact His kingdom.
Ruth: Meditations on God's Kindness (Week 2)Ruth 2:1-17Sitting on a farm in Northern California is one of the world's largest corn mazes. Boasting 42 acres of corn, visitors flock to the farm year after year to have a go at the challenging maze. Upon entering the maze, the path feels sporadic and random at best; guests don't have the proper perspective to see that an intricate design has been carved into the field. While some maze-goers can feel lost and unsure at times, the farmers know exactly where they are and where they need to go to work through the picture. Life can feel similar to walking through a corn maze. What we see as dead-ends and endless circles are actually purposeful steps God has ordained to lead us exactly where we need to be. Maybe we expect to go right but end up needing to go left or must double back to move forward. God has the sovereign top-down view to see it all, and our job is to trust and obey as we walk through it. Tomorrow morning come and see just how God works this out for Naomi and Ruth.

Through the story of Elijah and Elisha, we see how God's presence shapes and commissions us, calling us to deeper faith and transformation. Whether through a fiery chariot or a still small voice, God's glory is meant to be experienced, not just observed. This message explores how God meets us in the ordinary and empowers us for the extraordinary.
Continuing the series "Ordinary People, Extraordinary God", Pastor Travis talks about being a Christian in non-Christian environments. To be faithful even when we are fearful.
Sermon by Davy Lee on December 22, 2024.
Caleb describes that in the Bible, ordinary tools like tent pegs, staffs, and jawbones are used by God's people to achieve extraordinary victories. Further illustrating that God's power, not human strength, leads to triumph. This pattern reminds us that even in our weakness, God can use what seems ordinary in our lives to accomplish miraculous purposes, and ultimately, His Kingdom will triumph over worldly powers. November 24th, 2024 Please note: we had audio difficulties this week recording the sermon. We're working on a solution. Thank you for your patience.
In his first letter to the Corinthians, Paul wrote to a vagabond group of disciples 700 miles away from Jerusalem, the center of the events that made up the basis of their faith. Perhaps there were tired of feeling like everyone's whipping boy - the butt of everyone's joke. They were just ordinary people struggling to make sense of this Gospel they couldn't get away from. "Brothers," he encouraged them, "think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth." And then he dropped this nuclear truth bomb: "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things–and the things that are not–to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him." (1 Corinthians 1:26-29) To be ordinary - maybe even "sub-ordinary" - is to be placed in a great position! You are poised - if you choose it - to be partnered with the Most High. That's the point of this series that Nate is starting - Listen in as Sean and Nate discuss how God, in extraordinarily intentional ways, uses blandly ordinary people. ▶️ Nate's Message on YouTube: https://youtu.be/DP8wFY-Nrs8?si=vcVbzQJRY5SQWp60&t=2325

Experiencing Our Extraordinary God
When obstacles arise we need to keep our eyes on the God who is greater than any obstacle!
Sometimes the things God asks us to do aren't simple, but they are right.
Noah was in a situation where total trust in God was the only way to get through.
What was the factor that determined Gods acceptance of Abel's offering and not Cain's. That's what we'll talk about today.
Today we'll talk about the miracle on Mt. Caramel and the things that followed. God is in the big and the small!
Daniel spent his life serving kings, who most would not look at as even close to Godly men. What lessons can we learn?
Today we talk about how the story of David & Goliath is not really about them, but about God!
Message from Jon Scally on June 30, 2024
Ninth in pastor T.K. Anderson's series "God's Spotify Playlist: Top 10 Psalms"
We talk about how God used Gideon to do something unthinkable. It took God to win.
Today we talk about how much we need each other, and how powerful it is when we position ourselves for God to move!
We'll look at the faith of 3 Hebrew boys in a horrible situation, and see how an extraordinary God came through.
Pacific Northwest District Superintendent Rob Chadwick I Corinthians 1:26 & 27 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
Have you ever looked at someone who has great accomplishments and thought, “I could never do that. I'm just ordinary!” Moses didn't think he had what he needed for greatness. He was just an ordinary guy like the rest of us, but he learned something that changes everything – God gives ordinary people extraordinary strength! Moses had hesitations about his ability to do what God called him to. He doubted. He tried to get out of it. But God sent Him, and gave him everything he needed to be successful. When you are surrendered to God and filled with His Spirit, his power is displayed through your weakness!
God chooses the ordinary to do extraordinary things so His power can be magnified. When the King was welcomed into the world, only ordinary people surrounded Him: a teenage girl, a poor carpenter, and lowly shepherds. Yet, all of them were chosen by God to play an extraordinary role in His story. God doesn't ask us to be impressive but to be thankful and faithful.
