Today we meet Single Guy Ernie from Bothell. He works as a corporate diversity trainer and is looking for a girl who is “smart, funny, and can make it work in these crazy times!” We introduce him to City Girl Angela from Everett and Country Girl Maryanne from Granite Falls. City Girl Angela says she is between her dream jobs so she is Hostessing for the time being. She is really excited about being on City vs Country and does not want to miss this opportunity but she is also concerned about going out “on the town” in the midst of Coronavirus. She suggests a “Sexy FaceTime Date” where they watch each other eat dinner and then watch a movie together, all while FaceTiming. She even suggest some risqué things they can do. Country Girl Maryanne is a yoga barre instructor. She thinks Angela and everyone else is totally over-reacting to the Coronavirus. She takes it seriously as far as hand washing and understands the ban on large events, but sees nothing wrong with going out to some local Irish bars for some St Patrick’s Day weekend fun. Everyone, including us, is pretty surprised when Ernie makes his choice. But how do you spell “disaster”? Oh, wait, I just did.

Today we met Single Guy Zack from Covington. He works at a casino, enjoys playing sports, especially basketball, and wants to meet a girl who knows how to have fun but can also still be a girly-girl. He’s only been in the area for about a year and works a lot so he really hasn’t seen much of either the City or the Country around here. We introduce him to City Girl Jane from Seattle and Country Girl Lauren from Enumclaw. City Girl Jane is a Yoga Instructor (there seem to be a lot of them around!) who also does some acting for fun at some local theaters. She suggests being a real-life Seattle tourist, with a stop at Pike Place and the original Starbucks, a ride on the Monorail and then dinner at the Space Needle. Country Girl Lauren works in a Dental Office for her job-job, but her real love is working with animals so she helps out on some local farms. She seems really shocked at the idea of Jane taking Zack to so many public places and thinks they should just go have dinner at the Yella Beak, where she knows everyone, and where they’ve been, and then go back to her place for Netflix, although not with the “Chill” part, just yet. Lauren gets a little feisty with Jane which probably helps play right into Zack’s decision. But in the end, will it work in her favor?

Today is a special Single Parent Edition of City vs Country! We introduce Single Dad Bill from Hobart to City Girl Natasha from Tacoma and Country Girl Amy from Auburn. City Girl Natasha suggests a trip with all their kids to the Seattle Children’s Film Festival where they can watch short films from around the world, do some kid-friendly games and workshops and eat all kinds of foods. Country Girl Amy suggests a date with the kids to Northwest Trek where it’s the last kids-get-in-free-weekend and enjoying the amazing animals as well as the beautiful scenery and maybe grabbing lunch somewhere along the way. Bill’s questions to the two girls make us wonder if he really wants to bring the kids along at all, but we remind him it’s the Single Parent Edition and the kids are part of the package. And when we check in on Monday, it turns out that while kids were the key to getting the whole thing rolling, there will likely be a second date and it will be adults only!

Today we meet Single Guy Robert from Tacoma. He works at the Port of Tacoma and enjoys meeting new people; he is looking forward to finding a good time this weekend and meeting a nice new woman. We introduce him to City Girl Monica, who is also from Tacoma, and Country Girl Whitney who is from Roy. City Girl Monica works in personal finance. As far as looks, she says people say she looks like a real life Jessica Rabbit! For their City date, she suggests going to Uncle’s Buck’s Fish Bowl for some crazy bowling and good food and fun. Country Girl Whitney works on her family’s farm, but she is also a baker and has a baking blog. She wants to keep their date simple – go for a drive in the Country in her Jeep Wrangler, maybe up around Mt Rainier, and just talk and get to know one another, and stop for some eats somewhere along the way. Robert has some questions for the ladies and he is definitely an interesting guy, in the broadest possible sense of “interesting.” In fact the more he talks, the more we start to wonder if maybe he shouldn’t choose either girl, and the P1’s are pointing out some Red Flags, but these girls are not squeamish. So who does Robert pick? Did they meet up? And who exactly calls us on Monday Morning?

Single Guy Matt from Edmonds is a supervisor at bottling company. He’s had some bad luck on the dating scene so he’s really hoping we can help him meet some nice girls. She is really excited about Seattle’s new XFL Team the Dragons and she has a pair of tickets to first ever home game at Century Link Field. It’s an afternoon game so she suggests some dinner and bar hopping afterwards, and if Matt really wants that “country feel” they can go to Cowgirls Inc for some good country music and maybe some bull riding. Country Girl Jessica is an Elementary school teacher who loves to do Yoga and stay fit. But she also loves her beer, and she wants to take Matt to the McMenamin’s Brew Fest at the Anderson School in Bothell where they can drink and eat and hang out and get to know each other and maybe catch a movie. Matt has a lot of questions for these ladies. Like, a lot. And, well, they have answers…in fact, even after he makes his choice, we can’t be totally sure who will end up calling us Monday.

We introduce her to City Boy Cameron from Tacoma and Country Boy Kevin from Arlington. City Boy Cameron is a Yoga Instructor who is very psyched for this weekend’s outdoor yoga at Pt Defiance. He thinks Samantha will really enjoy that and thinks some nice time in the woods will get her Chakras right open. Country Boy Kevin is a Personal Trainer who claims to be “cut like steel”. Kevin suggests some outdoor snow fun because he has a couple of snowmobiles and wants to go up to some nice private property his buddy has near Stevens Pass. It does not go unnoticed that both guys spend a lot of words to describe themselves as “cut, ripped, and yoked” and that both want to take her to remote outdoor locations. When she seems a little, um, underwhelmed, he assures her they don’t have to spend the whole time there with his friends, they could also have some one-on-one time. When City Boy Dan comes on he is a little hesitant because with all the time he’s been waiting to be on CvC, as luck would have it, he has his kids this weekend. He didn’t want to turn down this chance, but also didn’t want to disappoint his kids, so he invites Erica to go with them to GameWorks in downtown Seattle for a day of fun and games and food. City Boy Steven is a forensic accountant who says he must be a good looking guy because people often tell him he’s “ripped” and “hot”. For a City Date, he suggests going to watch the Jet City Roller Derby and then going out to a neighborhood bar for some axe throwing. Country Boy Carl is a carpenter, although his real passion is bee-keeping. He laughs at the notion of going to a bar to throw axes in cages when they could just go to his property and throw them for real. For their Country Date he wants to take Christine to the Renaissance Fair in Monroe and promises that whether the date works out or not he will send her home with a jar of honey from his bees. He took her on a date that included hiking at Snoqualmie Falls and when we heard back from them after that weekend they sure hit it off, and it seemed like maybe there would most definitely be another date. Bob from Burien is looking to meet someone new. He is in his 40’s, with no kids and no “baggage” and has a great job as an Air Traffic Controller at SeaTac. He gets to choose between City Girl Leslie from Olympia and Country Girl Amber from Bonney Lake. City Girl Leslie wants to show him Olympia’s best pubs so she suggests an evening of bar-hopping with different styles of ambiance, food, and drinks. Country Girl Amber happens to be house-sitting this weekend at a house on Lake Tapps, so she suggests a day of boating, wakeboarding, grilling on the big ole porch and cold beer on the deck. Bob tries pretty hard to get them both, but this is City vs Country, not City AND Country, so he has to make a choice! Did he choose pub crawling in the Capitol, or grilling and chilling on The Lake? And…how did it go? Fasten your seatbelts – this could get a little bumpy.
