Do you ever wonder what happens to the couples who meet on City vs Country? Well, so do we! So when we heard back from a couple who were willing to come on and share what happened next, we were super excited wanting to know if we actually made a real match! Back on November 22, we met Kristi from Bothell who is an office assistant at a financial firm. She chose Country Boy Rick from Carnation who owns his own construction firm. He took her on a date that included hiking at Snoqualmie Falls and when we heard back from them after that weekend they sure hit it off, and it seemed like maybe there would most definitely be another date. We teased them about whether they would have Thanksgiving Dinner together, and they joked about it being too soon to meet families. But…were they together at Christmas? And New Year’s? Should we be planning our first ever City vs Country wedding?

Single Girl Kristi from Bothell is an office assistant at a financial firm. She is petite with blonde and hair blue eyes and enjoys working out. She has apparently had a tough time finding a good guy because when Fitz asks her what she is looking for in a guy she says she wants him “to have a job”! We introduce her to City Boy Donny from Seattle and Country Boy Rick from Carnation. City Boy Donny works in Amazon Corporate Finance. He is a competitive rower although he also enjoys rowing for fun. For their date he says he has tickets to TEDx Seattle which another girl bailed on but he thinks will be really cool and meaningful. Afterwards he suggests drinks and light appetizers at Damn the Weather where they can talk about the Talks. Country Boy Rick from Carnation owns his own construction firm and also likes being outside. For his date, well, honestly he figures he doesn’t have to try too hard after the TEDx dude, so he suggests hiking at Snoqualmie Falls and then dinner at the Roadhouse Inn with “light convo and no lectures.” We’re not gonna tell you who she picks in this little recap - you gotta listen. But we will say it works out well enough that there may be a Thanksgiving dinner in the future!

Her blog, WildTalesof.com is all about outdoor adventure and travel with kids. Follow her on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. TIPS FOR VISITING SEATTLE WITH KIDS Plan on visiting Seattle for at least a long weekend. If you are coming from a long distance, there are plenty of other attractions for you to pair with a visit to Seattle. Visiting the downtown area of Seattle, you will be able to explore the Seattle Aquarium, walk through Pike Place Market, and check out what there is to offer on the waterfront. If you would like to visit the Space Needle, you can go up to the observation deck for free if you eat lunch or dinner and their restaurant. If you are planning to also visit Vancouver Canada while you are in Washington, keep in mind that the border lines tend to be very long crossing into Vancouver. If you are into the outdoors there are some great parks to visit in the area, which are all free. Discovery Park has some great hiking and beautiful views of the Puget Sound. While the Washington Park Arboretum is a great place to explore and Seward Park has some hiking trails as well, is famous for old growth trees and has views of Mount Rainier. There are plenty more parks for you and your family to explore. Hotels in Seattle tend to be pretty pricey so look for last minute booking deals that may help you out with along with the options of renting or using site like Airbnb. Some places to visit off the beaten path would be to take a ferry to Bainbridge Island or you can visit Whidbey Island. There is also a beautiful waterfall called the Snoqualmie Falls that is about 40 minutes east of Seattle and is one of Seattle's famous waterfalls. BEST PLACE TO TAKE FAMILY PHOTO An iconic view to take a family photo would be in Kerry Park where you can see the Space Needle, Mount Rainier (if it’s out) and other building in Seattle. Another good spot for a family photo would be in front of the market sign. No matter what is going on around photos here always seem to turn out great. FAVORITE TRAVEL GEAR Kate loves to wear her Chaco sandals that are super comfortable for an active life. Kate has also started to wear a lot of Ibex wool clothing that is breathable and great for weather changes. TIP OF THE WEEK If you are NOT traveling to Seattle in late June to early September, it will not necessarily rain the whole time but it will be cloudy and overcast. So if you really want to a vacation will lots of sunshine make sure to travel in the summer months. Ewing is more important than enjoying an hour of popcorn TV… in the NEW new media capital of the world… St. Petersburg, Florida! Can I be honest? I don’t think anyone has really asked a lot of questions about the TV series “Twin Peaks” since the theatrical sequel, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me flopped at the movies in 1992. There. I’m glad I got that off my chest. DAVID BUSHMAN podcast excerpt: "Netflix has exposed a whole new generation of viewers to 'Twin Peaks.' I have a daughter who us 23; she knows 'Twin Peaks”'; her friends know Twin Peaks. One of the great things about Twin Peaks, what is so rare in television, is it raised a lot of questions without spelling out the answers for you." You can LISTEN to this interview with DAVID BUSHMAN and ARTHUR SMITH, co-authors of TWIN PEAKS FAQ, by clicking the audio player above! But that said, my wife and I were big fans of the original run of the TV show on ABC in 1990 and forced ourselves to watch the entire second season, even though it wasn’t very good, to be honest. And we skipped Fire Walk with Me altogether. And yet – having actually trekked to the rural area of Washington State where the show was filmed, stayed a couple of nights at “The Great Northern” (a.k.a., the iconic Salish Lodge & Spa) and visited the astonishing Snoqualmie Falls behind it, we are more than a little curious about the show’s impending return with new episodes on Showtime in early 2017. ARTHUR SMITH podcast excerpt: "You can read 'Twin Peaks FAQ' and the information about how the show was created and produced. I grew up being an obsessive fan of a lot of things. I would always love any supplementary material that would deepen my engagement with the thing itself. 'The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z' came out in the 1980s. They took all the characters that you know and, in an encyclopedia format, broke down their biographies, what their abilities were, what their personality was like. As a fan, it's kind of thrilling to see them distilled." Assuming we aren’t the only ones holding out hope of a return to form by the David Lynch and Mark Frost series, I invited David Bushman and Arthur Smith to the show today to talk about their comprehensive new book, Twin Peaks FAQ: All That’s Left to Know About a Place Both Wonderful and Strange. Key interview moments: • 4:20 David Bushman explains the enduring appeal of "Twin Peaks," a show that has been off the air for decades and is making a comeback; • 16:30 Why write an FAQ about "Twin Peaks"? For Bushman, part of the allure is his respect for director David Lynch; • 27:40 Arthur Smith compares the appeal of an FAQ book to an encyclopedia such as "The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.".
