You have to impress a series of people from multiple companies before you get that wonderful email or phone call telling you that you just landed a sync. The good news is that there's so much media being created now that the chances of everybody living in a happy wonderland with lots of syncs is not out of the question. This is a question that keeps coming up. ‘Should you focus on Quality or Quantity in the world of production music?'In this podcast I talk about this age old question that comes up on a weekly basis. Quality is going to set you apart from the crowd while Quantity will maximise your chances of getting a hit. Composers can follow the extreme of either path or find themselves somewhere in the middle. I focus on using a bit of both and have found the balance of delivering the best tracks I can submit in a short amount of time to be both artistically satisfying and financially rewarding. Having a short amount of time to finish a track means you have to focus on what's going to sell your track most effectively. What key elements are going to put your idea across in the most dramatic and impressive way. I hope you enjoy this podcast!
