In this episode, recorded live at Shoptalk, Sarah Hofstetter sits down with Louise Cotterill, Global Senior Director of Insights and Intelligence at Kellanova, for a wide-ranging conversation on how to turn complex data into business results and build cross-functional trust along the way.Louise shares how her team built a proprietary clean room solution to drive more precise audience targeting, tailor creative to shifting shopper behavior, and ultimately deliver a 36 percent sales lift for Special K in the UK. She also explains how marketers can move from one-size-fits-all campaigns to dynamic, behavior-based segmentation, even without first-party data.Beyond the tech, Louise emphasizes the importance of soft skills. From speaking the language of the CFO to running test-and-learn pilots that bring skeptical teams along gradually, she shows how marketers can lead with both credibility and curiosity. In a standout personal moment, she reveals the bravest thing she's ever done: spending a summer living with nomadic eagle hunters in Mongolia.Key takeaways:Insights only matter if they drive action. Clean rooms enable smarter targeting and measurement, but results come from applying those insights across creative and media strategy.Buy-in is built through transparency. Louise outlines how gradual testing, third-party validation, and a shared focus on sales help teams embrace new tools with confidence.Transformation is both technical and cultural. Success depends on aligning stakeholders, evolving incentives, and creating a safe space to test, learn, and adapt. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

What happens when you hit your lowest point and realise you're living a life that's not your own?In this episode, I'm joined by Jack Cotterill — a jazz drummer, creative entrepreneur and performance coach — who once lived the wild rock star life, caught in addiction and self-sabotage, before flipping his story entirely. Jack quit alcohol and cocaine, lost over 10 stone, rebuilt his confidence, and now coaches creatives and entrepreneurs worldwide on how to ditch bad habits, find discipline and turn their creative energy into real success. His journey is a powerful reminder that it's never too late to change your path and truly be yourself. We dig into why alcohol so often leads to cocaine, the psychology behind the infamous “F IT” button that flips once the first drink goes in, and whether counting sober days is actually helpful. Jack opens up about why drinking and drugging is ultimately selfish and how it impacts everyone around you, as well as why being “in debt to life” — recognising what life has given you — and practising self‑compassion are crucial in recovery. We also talk about why moderation is impossible for many of us, and why taking full responsibility for your addiction is the true path to freedom. Jack's story takes you from chaotic weekends to clarity, with practical insights on building a life you don't want to escape from.Jack has built multiple businesses from scratch, including Grow Sober — a coaching programme helping creatives and entrepreneurs take control of their lives. Today, he works with ambitious people all over the world, helping them ditch bad habits, build serious discipline and turn their creative energy into real success.Huge thanks to Jack for sharing so openly — this is one you won't want to miss!Thank you to Gavin Sisters for sponsoring this episode! “Getting punched in the face? It's the fastest way to learn what you're made of.” In this episode, Michael Dargie sits down with Maeghen Cotterill, a professional martial artist, psychic channeler, and intuitive coach. Maeghen has been immersed in martial arts since she was eight years old and built one of Canada's most successful dojos. She earned 11 world titles, founded Rising Phoenix Martial Arts, led Team Canada, and brought the world championships to Calgary—all while confronting abuse, disillusionment, and burnout. But after checking every box she'd ever set for herself, Maeghen did something unimaginable—she walked away from it all. This episode is sponsored by my new book BRANDJITSU, helping you find, shape, and share your story with the world. What follows is a deeply honest conversation about identity, masks, and the courage it takes to burn everything down to rebuild a life with more joy, authenticity, and play. She reflects on blending the fierce discipline of martial arts with the gentler power of intuition, and how she finally found peace in the integration of both. We learn what it means to really get punched in the face—literally and metaphorically—and how those experiences can forge strength, humility, and insight. Maeghen shares stories of breaking barriers, surviving the underbelly of competitive sport, and discovering that softness can be as powerful as strength. Whether you're a rebel in waiting or someone who's already mid-pivot, Maeghen's journey is a powerful reminder that you can do more than one thing—and you can always choose again. Quotable Quotes “I wanted to be the role model I didn't have.” – Maeghen Cotterill “My masks have come off. My identity is becoming less and less important.” – Maeghen Cotterill “Getting punched in the face? It's the fastest way to learn what you're made of.” – Maeghen Cotterill “You don't eat the elephant all at once—you take one bite at a time.” – Maeghen Cotterill “Sometimes we're just doing stuff because we think we should. Send us a Text Message.Hello, passionate cruisers! This is Paul and this week on The Joy of Cruising Podcast, I am delighted to welcome UK's Harry Cotterill, cruise blogger and artist from Cruise Cotterill. The Cruise Cotterill brand was launched in 2015 and since then Harry's talent for producing one-of-a-kind drawings of the world's cruise ships and other craft has become increasingly talked about around the world. Cruise Cotterill is nominated for cruise awards year after year; he has been shortlisted for the UK Wave Award and is again nominated in 2024. To date, Harry's artwork has been presented onboard no less than 100 different ships! He has been commissioned to produce his highly detailed one-of-kind drawings by clients all over the world, as well as cruise lines including Azamara Cruises and Ambassador Cruise Line. His artwork has become so popular he currently has clients securing commissions many months in advance. As a teen, so impressed were his fans and followers that they got together and paid for young Harry's first cruise! Harry first started drawing ships while he was still in school, where he studied art. His artistic skills only improved over time as he continued to draw. As a teenager, Harry had the ambition to become a naval architect and design his own ships. In May 2009, Harry had his first large-scale drawing presented on board Holland America Line's Eurodam at Harwich International Port. This was to be the first of many more presentations to come. After excelling at college, Harry decided to pursue his passion and aim of setting up his own business, Cruise Cotterill. Listed as “Vulnerable” by the IUCN Red List, The African Lion is one of the most threatened species in the world. The population of this regal carnivore has dropped drastically from over 200,000 individuals a century ago to approximately 24,000 today. Almost half of this population is found outside protected areas, often in human-dominated landscapes. Rampant habitat loss and fragmentation, coupled with a sharp decline in prey abundance across their range is a recipe for human-wildlife conflict. Lions are often persecuted in retaliation to livestock degradation by these big cats. This has unfortunate consequences for Africa's vultures which often prey on livestock carcasses poisoned by farmers, intending to murder problematic lions. Additionally, lions are increasingly falling victim to the illegal wildlife trade to meet the demand for wildlife products in China and Vietnam, following the clamp down on tiger poaching in Asia. More specifically in southern Africa, lions are often captured for the horrific canned lion industry. In this episode, I interview Alayne Oriol Cotterill, the CEO of Lion Landscapes, which is one of the leading organizations working towards lion conservation. We cover their various projects, such as their Ruaha Carnivore Program, Community Co-Op, and Collaring for Coexistence programs. We also talk about the “controversial” role of trophy hunting in wildlife conservation in Africa. If you enjoyed this podcast, do not forget to share and subscribe! Chapter 23 Harry poked Draco in the shoulder. "Malfoy," he said. Draco took a long sip of his coffee, his attention on the evidence wall and the additions Cotterill and Choudhury had made to it while he was on compassionate leave. They had tracked the activities of all the previous victims, and laid out timelines and small movement maps for each. They'd done another round of interviews to see if any stories changed, rerun every report, and even badgered Townsend into walking them through a recreation of each autopsy.
Sarah Cotterill joins Joyce from Indiana, a non-friendly cannabis state. Sarah shares with Joyce why she decided to bring her experiences as a healthcare attorney, corporate executive, entrepreneur, farmer, athlete, yogi, mother, daughter, sister, partner, and friend to create and scale cannabis businesses and products that support agricultural and personal regeneration. Sarah also explains why her newest business venture, SHIFT is more than a product. It's an idea. It's a mentality. It's a delicious chocolate bar. Joyce speaks with Sarah about her life as an entrepreneur, hemp pioneer and mom, and why her professional goal is to help people fall in love with being alive and to co-create and transform regenerative systems - both in their own lives and on a larger scale. And thank you Girl, Get That Money for making today's show possible.Topics Discussed(1:30) CFCR(2:14) Alan Alda(2:32) Keep The Canna Mom Show Going Campaign(3:05) Thank You Girl, Get The Money(3:15) Sarah Cotterill(4:20) Indiana Not A Legal State(6:15) From Corporate Attorney to Canna Entrepreneur(12:14) Trying Cannabis(13:03) Growing Up In DARE(14:01) Getting Into Hemp(15:08) Acting As A Lighthouse(16:22) Starting As A Farmer(17:55) SHIFT products(24:10) Canna Mom Power(25:28) Local Canna Education(27:44) Delta 8 Chocolates(29:25) Girl, Get That Money Thank You!(30:30) Canna Parenting(31:20) Jack Herera – Emperor Wears No Clothes(36:60) Working With Raw Materials(39:08) Yoga and Cannabis(40:03) Indiana Doctors(44:10) Shift Edibles WebsiteConnect with Sarah on Instagram and Connect with Shift on InstagramThe Canna Mom Show wants to thank:Josh Lamkin and Bella Jaffe for writing and performing TCMS theme music
