Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday edition of the 3 Martini Lunch where they bemoan the lack of 'serious people' in prominent positions. Those people include Terri Moran whose savage X post cost him his job at ABC, DNI director Tulsi Gabbard, who seems tired of being in the background, and Tennessee Rep. Mark Green who has the audacity to resign his position for an alleged business venture in Guyana. First, they laugh over Terry Moran's vitriolic X post, claiming Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and President Trump to be 'world class haters' and find nourishment by "eating their hate." Quite possibly the result of an evening of booze, this post could have been explained away with a simple apology, but Moran refuses to recant. Jim wonders if ABC is grateful for a reason to oust a boring reporter that costs them half a million dollars a year. Next, they dissect Tulsi Gabbard's dramatic YouTube warning about nuclear war. Gabbard insists we're closer than ever to nuclear annihilation, apparently forgetting the Cold War and Cuban Missile Crisis. Jim is skeptical, especially considering the recent war in Ukraine and Russia where nuclear weapons have not yet been used. He also says that Gabbard has a direct link to speak with the president about such concerns, so speaking out publicly suggests she is bored of working behind the scenes. Last, they are aghast at the resignation of Tennessee Rep. Mark Green for the sake of a private sector opportunity. Greg is enraged by any public official who would leave office for any reason other than health and family reasons or scandal. Green leaving for an elusive business venture in Guyana of all places has both Jim and Greg immensely irritated. Please visit our great sponsors:Talk it out with Betterhelp. Leadership is criticized for failing to address these issues more directly with tangible and visible actions, including firing responsible individuals. Economic problems such as high gas prices and expensive groceries are attributed to poor policies and regulations, suggesting a disconnect between government actions and public interests. Come along for this ride! Join us for a fun and lively discussion with pharmacist, Dr. Dean Elbe. Sandra and Dean were colleagues close to 30 years ago when Sandra first started out in clinical nutrition. Rob and Sandra have some questions for Dean and the conversation covers a broad range of topics such as GLP-1 antagonists (weight loss medications), grapefruit and medication interactions, caffeine, antidepressants, antacids and Proton pump inhibitors, various supplements, and so much more. This is a wild and windy ride of an interview, with so many questions answered plus many more to discuss with Dean in future episodes! As a pharmacy student in 1991, Dean began researching drug-nutrient interactions for a local dietitian group. His interest in grapefruit-drug interactions led him to create the Grapefruit-Drug interactions website, which caught the attention of Zaneta Pronsky, author of Food-Medications Interactions (FMI). She invited Dr. Elbe to edit FMI, and together they toured the US, presenting on FMI at state and DPG meetings, and at FNCE Philadelphia. Dr. Elbe authored the 18th and 19th editions of the handbooks before production ceased in 2019. Seeing the need for reliable information, Dr. Elbe launched Drug Nutrition Interactions (DNI), an extensive database with over 1,100 peer-reviewed drug entries. Senior dietitian Dr. Mary Litchford provided the dietary recommendations and curated dietary guidelines. Learn how accurate attribution tracking transforms marketing results Look, let's face it - guesswork is the cancer of all business. As I always tell my clients at Predictable Profits, you need to eliminate that guesswork with proper data. That's why I invited Michael Cooney, co-founder of WhatConverts, onto the podcast. I've had multiple agency clients rave about this tool that's helping them generate better results and higher ROAS for their clients. We dive deep into why native conversion pixels from Meta or Google fall short, how to properly value different types of leads, and why understanding the complete customer journey is critical for making smart marketing decisions. My guest today, Michael Cooney, built WhatConverts after running his own agency for over 20 years. He experienced firsthand the frustration of trying to prove marketing ROI to skeptical clients who couldn't see the full picture. When a client once said to him, "These leads seem like they're from existing customers, not marketing," Michael realized he needed a better solution - a truth-seeking tool that would reveal exactly which marketing efforts were driving valuable conversions. That's when WhatConverts was born, and it's now tracking over 4 million leads per month across industries. KEY TAKEAWAYS: The limitations of standard conversion tracking How dynamic number insertion works The complexity of modern buyer journeys Issues with standard cookie windows The importance of data-driven decision making WhatConverts' six-step process Proper troubleshooting for underperforming campaigns Value-based pricing for marketers Links: LinkedIn:https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelcooney/ Twitter:https://twitter.com/mc_cooney Email:michael.cooney@whatconverts.com Company Website:https://www.whatconverts.com/ Growing your business is hard, but it doesn't have to be. In this podcast, we will be discussing top level strategies for both growing and expanding your business beyond seven figures. We believe that this format will enable our listeners to learn the most from the show, implement more in their businesses, and get real value out of the podcast. Enjoy the show. Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan has been indicted on charges of aiding and abetting an illegal immigrant. The indictment alleges that Judge Dugan used her position to obstruct federal immigration enforcement efforts, reigniting debates about the role of local officials in immigration policy and enforcement.DNI Director Tulsi Gabbard has reportedly dismissed several employees within her department, citing concerns that they were actively obstructing the implementation of policies aligned with the Trump administration's agenda. Gabbard justified the firings by stating that government officials must work in service of the American people—not hinder duly elected leadership.“These individuals were not aligned with the direction and priorities needed to move the country forward,” Gabbard reportedly stated. “There is no room for partisan sabotage or internal resistance within the ranks of public service.”Her actions have drawn swift criticism from former CIA Director John Brennan, a frequent critic of President Donald Trump. Brennan voiced strong disagreement with Gabbard's decisions, arguing that the removals undermine institutional integrity and could set a dangerous precedent for political loyalty tests within the federal workforce. “Tulsi Gabbard's actions reflect a concerning shift toward authoritarian-style purges,” Brennan commented. In a powerhouse episode of Why We Vote, CannCon and Ashe in America are joined by Col. Conrad Reynolds and Will Huff to break down the Make Elections Secure Again (MESA) Act. The federal legislation crafted in partnership with Rep. Pete Sessions that could finally bring hand-marked, hand-counted paper ballots back to American elections. The guests detail how electronic voting machines are vulnerable by design, how barcodes and ballot-marking devices subvert voter intent, and why no system relying on proprietary tech can ever be truly trusted. They recount their uphill battle to reform elections in Arkansas, where bipartisan public support for paper ballots has been met with fierce resistance from entrenched interests, election tech vendors, state officials, and powerful lobby groups. From illegal threats against local officials to grassroots wins like Searcy and Independence Counties, Col. Reynolds and Huff outline both the fight and the path forward. The conversation also explores the MESA Act's enforcement teeth, including replacing the Election Assistance Commission with a new oversight body, criminal penalties for noncompliance, and revoking funding for states that don't meet federal security standards. Plus: Tulsi Gabbard's explosive DNI statements, the failure of election judges to ensure vote verification, and why both parties may fear what true election integrity could expose. If you want to understand how elections are really manipulated, and what it will take to fix them, this episode is for you.
Tulsi Gabbard's memory seems as selective as Alberto Gonzales's infamous "I don't recall" testimony from 2007. Imagine a Director of National Intelligence who can't remember being part of a classified Signal chat from just yesterday. She's also not good at lying, which is a requirement included in her job description as Trump's DNI. From the Bush-era playbook of political corruption to Trump's current circus of catastrophic mismanagement, we trace the alarming pattern of Republican administrations treating national security like a reality show plot. Listen as we unravel how these supposed patriots leaked classified information with the recklessness of teenagers sharing summer vacation plans. It's a blistering look at the Trump team's stunning incompetence, media manipulation, and the right-wing propaganda machine working overtime to spin this epic security failure. Not safe for work. Not safe for Republicans. And it's definitely not safe for incompetent Trump officials. Support our podcast work. Spring is here and we're two months in. Two months of crazy. Two months of furor. Two months of chaos. And two months of damage done to the fabric of the country we all love. And just two days after Independent Americans host Paul Rieckhoff went on CNN to sound the alarm bell and warn that the sloppiness would lead to much, much worse… worse happened. By now you've heard about Signalgate, the scandal that has rocked the Trump administration and includes the DNI, SECDEF and Director of the CIA as well as the Vice President and others exchanging sensitive details about a pending strike on Houthi forces in Yemen. It's a shocking lack of discipline and operational security and the country has taken notice. Big time. And in this pod, we've got a guest who is right in the middle of it all. A guest who came directly from a SCIF to do this interview and then immediately after the podcast went to hold hearings on the scandal. It's Massachusetts Democrat Congressman Seth Moulton—and he's taking you behind the scenes and deep inside of one of the biggest intelligence failures in American history. It's the kind of conversation you won't get anywhere else. And the kind of conversation you can't afford to miss. And it follows Rieckhoff digging into all of it, the veterans stories you probably missed, Opening Day for baseball, and a celebration of the life of George Foreman. Buckle up, America. The release of the JFK files is massive. Don’t believe the legacy media when they say there’s nothing there. There are 80,000+ pages to get through — but, one in particular, has caught Trish Regan’s eye. Meanwhile, have you heard of the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948? It was 'modernized' by Obama in 2012 and it's a major part of why you see so many media organizations floating a similar--highly simplistic--narrative. Declassifying these files goes a long way towards reestablishing the credibility of our institutions. It comes at an important time.
