    Eric Seaborg is a freelance writer and editor whose writing has ranged from hiking to travel to medicine to nuclear science. He and Ellen Dudley were members of the three-person team that scouted the route for the coast-to-coast American Discovery Trail in 1990-1991. They co-wrote a book about their experiences scouting the country's first and only non-motorized transcontinental trail, and they have been working ever since to develop the trail with the volunteer-based American Discovery Trail Society. Eric's other co-written books are a how-to guide on hiking and backpacking and his Nobel-prize winning father's autobiography, Adventures in the Atomic Age.Ellen Dudley is first and foremost a mom and grandmother to her treasured and remarkable children and grandchildren. Over her lifetime, she has developed quite a wide ranging career that all started with a degree in philosophy.
