In this interview I answered question about how to catch catfish. The questions came from some school kids who were working on a school project about catfishing, so they sent me 20 questions to answer for their project. It is an in depth interview that actually brought me to tears at one point. I've been interviewed many times by various people, but none asked the really good questions. Sometimes those questions are the simplest ones. Great interview. I give up a lot of catfishing secrets and catfishing tips in this video. I started my Youtube channel as a way help anglers catch more fish and enjoy their time on the water. There were a lot of Youtube fishing channels that showed people catching fish, but not that many catfishing channels with detail information on catfish gear, rigs, rods and tactics for catching catfish. Since then my fishing channel on Youtube has done great, I finally got silver play button, and I am looking down the road to focus on what come next with my channel. There is also some insight into what it takes to have and maintain a Youtube channel, many of which people do not know or understand unless they've started a fishing channel on Youtube. Youtube fishing channels, especially catfishing channels on Youtube, are abundant and standing out on Youtube can be tough. Catfish fishing channels on Youtube are great, but my hope is to diversify my content moving forward.

Missing kayaker found dead after empty kayak discovered on Lake Marion. Authorities say they recovered the body of a missing kayaker on Sunday after the discovery of an empty kayak a day earlier. Officials continued their search for the missing person on Sunday after the kayak was discovered on Saturday afternoon in Lake Marion. Authorities said on Sunday that they had identified the owner and were using cell phone data to help to help find where the person may have gone into the water. On Sunday evening, authorities confirmed that a dive team using sonar had recovered the missing kayaker. The missing kayaker was found dead in Lake Marion Sunday afternoon. The agency deferred to the Orangeburg County coroner's office for the person's identity.

Trey McKinney nearly destroyed his bass fishing boat while trying to get it on the trailer in high winds and waves on Lake Ray Roberts during a practice round for the 2025 Bassmaster Classic in Texas. The boat was swamped by waves while at the ramp in extremely high winds and waves, and he struggled to get it secured to the trailer. High winds on Lake Ray Roberts can be dangerous, especially when they are from the north or south. The video of Trey McKinney's boat sinking shows how scary and dangerous this situation can be. The images from Lake Lure and Chimney Rock in North Carolina are truly shocking. The damage left in the aftermath or Hurricane Helene was widespread across much of western North Carolina. Record flooding, high winds and torrential rain led to widespread destruction in town like Asheville, Old Fort and along Interstate 40 connecting North Carolina to Tennessee. Telephone, cellphone and internet outages were making it difficult for authorities to notify families of the dead. Officials said Sunday that 41 people were rescued in one area of Buncombe County on Saturday. New NCDOT video on Sunday showed tremendous damage to at least one direction of I-40 near Sylva with other areas eroded by the Pigeon River under the highway, which has receded from overflowing on Friday. The bend in the river in an I-40 stretch near the Tennessee line was at its banks Friday and early Saturday after Helene dumped more than 2 feet of rain on the mountains. Water from the river cut under parts of I-40 in areas that appeared normal from the surface. Forward facing sonar has finally been banned in some professional bass fishing tournaments. Forward facing sonar, also known as Livescope, is a type of highly advanced fishfinder technology that many believe can make catching fish easy to the point of being unfair. The forward facing sonar technology has changed the fish are caught in the bass tournament world and also in crappie fishing tournaments. Any fish that is caught by a lure can be caught easier by fishermen that have masted this technology. Lowrance, Garmin, and Humminbird all have their version of forward facing sonar that angler are utilizing to catch more fish. There is a new record breaking catfish in Ohio. The giant blue catfish was caught by 15 year-old high school sophomore Jaylynn Parker. The fish was caught while jug fishing with her family on the Ohio River. Once certified this could become the new state record for a blue catfish in Ohio. The potential new record caught by Jaylynn Caught was 101 pounds, and it was released alive after being weighed on certified scales by Ohio Department of Wildlife. A missing fisherman's boat was found Tuesday. The boat of missing fisherman Jeff Kale of Clover SC was found today off the North Carolina coast just hours after the United States Coast Guard called off the search. Kale went missing on Saturday, and a widespread search was conducted all of Sunday and Monday with no results. Oak Island police said efforts to find Kale using cellphone location data were attempted but were not successful. If you have ever had any problems with the Minn Kota Ulterra please let me know! This trolling motor problem is with the auto deploy and auto stow function on the Ulterra trolling motor. Destin Fox recently caught a 94 pound blue catfish in Lake Wateree in South Carolina. The is a new unofficial lake record catfish for Lake Wateree, and the biggest that has eve been caught in the Catawba Wateree River basin. While the state record catfish from South Carolina is over ten pounds larger, this record catfish is a rare specimen anywhere in the Carolinas and a world class catfish anywhere in America. A potential new Tennessee state record blue catfish has just been caught on the Cumberland River in Tennessee. Micka Burkhart is the angler who caught the giant catfish. Coincidentally, he hold the current Tennessee state record for a blue catfish. State record catfish are rare. Prior to last year the Tennessee record blue catfish stood for many years. Captain Greg McCoy piloting the Sensation experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows during Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament this weekend. McCoy and crew landed a 619.4 pound blue marlin during the Big Rock Blue Marlin tournament Saturday after a six hour battle that lasted into the night. Upon arrival at the dock a crowd cheered as the largest blue marlin of the tournament was hoisted onto the scales. The glory was short lived as it was made clear that the weight was under review due to a possible "Rule 23 violation." In the end, the crew ended up losing over $3 million dollars because the blue marlin had been bitten by a shark and may have been dead before it was landed. This follows a guilt plea by the men and a deal with prosecutors.
