No vegetables, no fruit, no fiber, no carbs. Then he tested everything. His cholesterol numbers would have sent most doctors into a panic. His total cholesterol hit 434. His LDL hit 350. But when one of the world's top heart surgeons reviewed the full panel, the verdict was clear: his cardiovascular risk had actually improved. Then the gut results came in. After 90 days of zero plants and zero fiber, his gut microbiome diversity went up. Not down. Up. In this episode, Ben walks through everything: the adaptation period, the body composition changes, the full blood work breakdown with board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Philip Ovadia, the gut microbiome reveal with Dr. Will DiPaolo and Dr. Daniel Pompa, and what the science actually says about cholesterol, red meat, and the human body. If you've ever been told that saturated fat will kill you, that LDL is the enemy, or that you need fiber to have a healthy gut, this episode will make you question all of it. Key takeaways: Lost 16 pounds and 6% body fat in 60 days Heart rate variability, sleep quality, and glucose all improved Triglyceride-to-HDL ratio hit 1.0, a marker of near-zero insulin resistance Gut diversity, keystone bacteria, and core bacteria all increased on zero plants LDL on its own is one of the worst predictors of actual cardiovascular risk Find All The Ben Azadi Show Sponsorship Deals https://www.ketokamp.com/sponsorship-deals Learn more about your ad choices. California politics, media credibility, Biden fallout, corporate culture wars, and the collapse of elite institutions all hit the table in this hard-charging episode of Carnivore Radio. Jeff Sherman and Dr. Eric Lopkin take aim at the stories the mainstream narrative keeps trying to explain away, from Republican momentum in deep-blue California to growing voter backlash against one-party rule. The hosts break down why Democrats may be losing independents, why corporate America is pulling back from political messaging, and why the media's credibility problem keeps getting worse. They also take on Jill Biden's latest comments, Chris Murphy's national ambitions, Obama's fading legacy, and the surprising employment shift hitting recent college graduates. No soft takes. No safe corners. Just sharp debate, fearless opinions, and no-nonsense analysis that cuts through the spin. Listen to Carnivore Radio now.
Send us Fan MailOlaf Kock is a returning guest on our show! Be sure to check out his first appearance on episode 796 of Boundless Body Radio!Olaf Kock is working in the software business, currently in technical sales. Ever since finding the ketogenic diet in 2012, he ran a one-month experiment with this way of eating that has never stopped. As a self-described nerd, he found the ketogenic diet in 2012 through a podcast on software security out of pure chance. This experiment has evolved through several flavors since then, but as far as this experiment is concerned, the experiment never ended, and he is still ketogenic to this day!As he often is answering the same questions, he recently built a German-and-English-language website (butterbei.de) to simulate the glucose/insulin relationship, in order to illustrate what happens in the body, and make the otherwise hidden processes visible without the need to wear a continuous glucose monitor. The website has since developed into a source of nutritional information based on his findings that the cause-and-effect typically perceived in nutrition can easily be twisted around.Together with his dog Fiete he lives in Hamburg/Germany, which makes both of them authentic and actual (wait for it) Hamburgers. #319 Last week I saw a patient who had been on a low FODMAP diet for 12 years. Self-prescribed. No reintroduction. No professional guidance. His story is far more common than most people realise — and it's exactly why I recorded this episode. Low FODMAP, keto, and carnivore diets all have legitimate therapeutic applications. But when they're self-prescribed, followed indefinitely, and used without ever investigating the underlying cause of symptoms, they can cause their own harm — quietly, progressively, and in ways that are very difficult to reverse. In this episode, I'm drawing on my extensive experience working with constipation and gut health to talk specifically about what these diets do to your bowel — the microbiome changes, the impact on butyrate and serotonin production, the loss of mechanical stimulation, and why constipation is one of the most commonly reported and least discussed consequences of long-term dietary restriction. I also cover the conditions — including SIBO, where a low FODMAP approach may be appropriate for longer than the standard timeframe, and why even in those cases, reintroduction is always the goal. If you feel better on a restricted diet but can't seem to reintroduce foods without your symptoms returning, this episode will help you understand why — and what to do about it. In this episode: What Monash University actually says about how long the low FODMAP diet should be followed Why prolonged FODMAP restriction affects Bifidobacteria, butyrate production, and bowel function What the research shows about the ketogenic diet, microbiome diversity, fibre intake, and constipation The latest evidence on the carnivore diet — including a 2026 cross-sectional study and 2025 scoping review Why symptom relief on a restricted diet is the beginning of the investigation, not the end of it A clear path forward for anyone stuck in a cycle of restriction with no resolution in sight Resources mentioned: Get Things Moving — Evidence-based guide to overcoming constipation: Book a consultation BetterMe Tea Lynda Griparic is a degree-qualified naturopath and certified Healthy Gut Practitioner with extensive experience in constipation, SIBO, and gut microbiome health. Dr Paul Saladino reacts to new comments from Jordan Peterson's wife describing him as living in “another realm of pain” from benzodiazepine injury years after first being prescribed the drug for severe anxiety and autoimmune‑driven insomnia. He explains how benzos like Xanax, clonazepam and Valium act on GABA receptors in ways similar to alcohol, why withdrawal can be medically dangerous, and how long term use may leave lasting changes in the brain that are extremely hard to reverse.

For more information and support, join us at https://thecirsgroup.com Jacie and Barbara cover Phase Two (part two of five) of the Shoemaker Protocol for CIRS, focusing on foundational steps before starting binders: Lipid replacement therapy (primarily fish oil) to lower inflammation and help prevent common binder side effects like fatigue, constipation, and overall dryness, with Shoemaker-recommended omega-3 dosing (EPA 2,400 mg and DHA 1,800 mg daily) and cautions about blood-thinning; Limbic retraining to address errant threat signals from chronic illness, with nuance that intensive programs can be too difficult early on and may work better once out of exposure and/or on binders, while also warning against symptom suppression without addressing root causes; And the critical priority of getting out of exposure through testing (dust tests for mold, endotoxins, and actinos), remediation or moving, and exploring hidden, internal exposures that can cause plateaus or backslides in your health. For more information and support, join us at https://thecirsgroup.com Jacie and Barbara discuss chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), emphasizing it as a real, multisystem illness rather than “just being tired,” and describe hallmark symptoms like post-exertional malaise (PEM), unrefreshing sleep, brain fog/word-finding issues, orthostatic intolerance, sensory sensitivity, pain, headaches, and the push-crash cycle. They explain how ME/CFS is often hard to diagnose due to lack of a single definitive test, the use of exclusionary testing and symptom criteria, and how cardiopulmonary exercise testing can objectively demonstrate impaired recovery and reduced oxygen utilization, which is useful for disability or legal documentation. They argue the diagnosis is a label, not a root cause, and propose chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS) from biotoxin exposure (often water-damaged buildings/mold) as a potential driver, citing Dr. Ming Dooley's review comparing ME/CFS research to CIRS treatment outcomes. They outline next steps: assess exposure history and symptom patterns, take symptom clusters and the VCS test, find a CIRS-literate practitioner, address current environments before protocols, and explore resources and their community membership. Under a Carnivore Sky (Page Street YA, 2026) is Brianna Jett's debut young adult novel in verse. Sixteen-year-old Lili is a hunter, which means she has one goal: Find the monster lurking in the carnivorous, labyrinthian swamp that borders their hometown—and slay it. Her father failed to kill the beast, and like all townsfolk over eighteen, bits of his flesh and bone are being stolen away by its curse. With all roads out of town leading back in, they're trapped with the curse unless Lili stops it; yet the ease with which she wanders the swamp leaves her more feared than favored. When a boy, Caleb, offers to map the swamp in exchange for her help in finding a way through it, Lili agrees, hoping to track down the monster. But the more they explore, the more she resents the town and questions the curse itself. Confronted with the truth, Lili must decide if duty or her own freedom is a worthier pursuit. For more information and support, join us at https://thecirsgroup.com In this episode, Barbara and Jacie discuss how CIRS patients can tell when they're ready to move to the next step of the Shoemaker Protocol or “graduate,." As always, healing is gradual and should be guided by a CIRS-literate practitioner. They recommend tracking symptoms over time and checking three key questions: whether symptoms are improving, whether labs support improvement, and whether ongoing exposure is still occurring. The Shoemaker Protocol can be divided into three phases: (1) getting out of exposure by identifying and removing biotoxins, (2) clearing biotoxins with binders like cholestyramine (often causing temporary fatigue/constipation) and treating MARCoNS; and (3) repairing immune and hormonal dysfunction with supportive therapies, diet, and lifestyle supports. They also cover what “graduation” means, and common side quests if stalled, including Lyme, gut issues, dental problems, microbiome disruptions, spike protein, and autoimmune-related damage. This episode of Carnivore Radio goes straight at the fault lines most media won't touch. Jeff Sherman and Eric Lopkin break down explosive political contradictions, from backlash in New York over policy decisions to the growing disconnect between elite education and real-world competence. They challenge the narrative around minimum wage economics, expose what they describe as systemic media bias, and dig into controversial claims surrounding organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center. The conversation escalates as they confront rhetoric, political accountability, and the consequences of misinformation in today's climate. Nothing is softened. Nothing is filtered. If you want unvarnished debate that cuts through spin and forces hard questions, this episode delivers. Listen now and hear what others won't say.

Can eating only meat actually fix long COVID or ME/CFS? The stories say yes. The biology is a lot more complicated. I dug into the carnivore diet from the ground up, reviewing what formal studies show, what the long COVID and ME/CFS online communities are actually reporting, and where the real risks are for people with already fragile physiology. The honest picture is more nuanced than either the success stories or the skeptics suggest, and the details matter a lot depending on where you are in your recovery. For more information and support, join us at https://thecirsgroup.com In their 150th The CIRS Group podcast episode(!!), Jacie and Barbara share practical guidance for reducing actinos in the home, emphasizing that consistent removal matters because a CIRS patient can react whether actinos are dead or alive. This is NOT medical advice: Actinos guidance is leading-edge in the CIRS space, but they share what has worked for them and members of The CIRS Group. For skin, they discuss Defense soap, lava soap, Selsun Blue, Lume acidifying wash, and Johnson's Baby Shampoo (noting dryness/irritation tradeoffs), plus probiotic lotion for localized issues. For laundry, they recommend washing clothing after one wear, and frequently washing bedding, pillows, and towels. For the home, they advise using a sealed HEPA vacuum broadly (walls, furniture, mattress, woven items), dry and damp dusting (including walls with a wet Swiffer), and using masks. If you feel overwhelmed, try breaking cleaning into manageable chunks, and consider help from cleaners, friends, or family. Redistricting battles explode as Carnivore Radio takes on the Virginia vote and exposes what the hosts call the real game behind political power. Jeff Sherman and Eric Lopkin break down gerrymandering, constitutional limits, and why the courts may be forced to step in. The conversation escalates fast, hitting voter ID fights, shifting party dynamics, and claims of systemic political manipulation. Then it turns local. Connecticut's leadership, education system, and economic decline come under fire, with blunt criticism of public policy, taxpayer spending, and political accountability. The episode doesn't stop there. From high-profile party defections to allegations of corruption and financial misconduct in Congress, every topic cuts straight through the noise.

Notably, Genie Test research suggests 42% of CIRS patients react to Actinos versus 30% to endotoxins and about 10% to mycotoxins. Today's episode covers testing strategies, and if human-derived actino scores are high, they suggest testing your skin with test swabs behind the ear after showering, with a goal of under 10,000 per species and good diversity. Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid produced by the microbiome—and it plays a foundational role in gut health, inflammation control, immune system regulation, and even brain function. The problem? Most people today are deficient due to poor microbiome health, low fiber tolerance, and chronic gut dysfunction. Steven breaks down how butyrate supports the integrity of the gut lining, fuels colon cells, regulates oxygen levels in the microbiome, and creates an environment where beneficial bacteria can thrive. Without it, even the best diets and supplements may fall short. Get personalized root-cause care with Empower Functional Health.Learn more at empowerfunctionalhealth.com_____Is eating a limited diet, such as a Carnivore diet, or avoiding certain foods because they harm you unbiblical? This episode explores what Scripture actually says about food, freedom, and caring for the body. The Bible does not treat medically necessary or health-based food avoidance as sin. Instead, it emphasizes stewardship, wisdom, self-control, and honoring God with your body. While the New Testament removes ceremonial food restrictions, it does not require people to eat everything indiscriminately. Rather than condemning dietary limits, Scripture consistently calls for honoring God with your body and recognizing that something may be permitted yet still not be beneficial to you personally.IntroductionIs Plant-Based the Ideal Diet Based on Biblical Doctrine?Body as a Temple and You as a StewardBiblical Mentions of Food, Drunkards, Glutton and SinPaul and the Need of Discipline, Self-Control and the Fruit of the SpiritThoughts on CommunionRomans 14, The Weak and the StrongReal Talk: What Really Matters with Faith_____EPISODE RESOURCES - Is Plant-Based the Ideal Christian Diet- My Faith Journey - Jesus and Wellness Article - Did Jesus Eat Meat Article - Stewarding the Body as God's Temple (1 Corinthians 6:19–20, 1 Corinthians 3:16–17) - Not Everything Is Beneficial (1 Corinthians 6:12, 1 Corinthians 10:23)- What Enters the Body (Proverbs 23:20–21, Proverbs 25:16, Philippians 3:19- Acting According to Conscience (Romans 14:14–23, Romans 14:2–3 1 Corinthians 8)- Self-Control as a Spiritual Virtue (Galatians 5:22–23, 1 Corinthians 9:27- Biblical Principle of Prudence (Proverbs 27:12, Ephesians 5:29)- The Garden of Eden Diet (Genesis 1–2) - The Daniel Diet (Daniel 1 and 10) - Old Testament Dietary Laws (Leviticus 11; Deuteronomy 14)- Jesus and the Food Laws (Matthew 5:17; Mark 7:18–19, Matthew 15:11)_____WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

Today's episode outlines what to do during a CIRS “flare” or symptom backslide. Some tips covered inclide: defining early warning signs, using objective tracking tools like the VCS test, symptom logs, and wearables, and scheduling periodic bloodwork (including MSH, MMP-9, and TGF beta-1). Their step-by-step approach emphasizes testing the environment (HERTSMI-2 or ERMI, plus endotoxins and actino), getting on waitlists for CIRS providers and Indoor Environmental Professionals, and addressing root cause through remediation, cleaning, and restarting the protocol. They'll also cover how to reduce inflammation with supportive measures while waiting for care. Once healed from CIRS, many patients build long-term resilience by investigating “side quests” like co-infections and keeping a clean environment. Are you "melting" instead of building? If you are over 50 and still prioritizing your fasting window over your protein intake, you aren't "cleansing"—you are dismantling your own body from the inside out. In this raw and uncensored episode, Joe and Rachel (2 Krazy Ketos) pull back the curtain on the Protein Death Spiral, a clinical path of frailty that starts with a simple trip and ends in a hospital bed. We're leaving the "safe" main channel scripts behind to talk about the biological reality of aging on a Keto or Carnivore diet. We dive deep into why your muscles have gone "hard of hearing" and why you need to start "shouting" at them with a 100g Protein Floor. In this episode, we discuss: The Death Spiral Statistics: Why 1 in 3 seniors who break a hip don't survive the year. Anabolic Resistance: Why your 60-year-old body needs more meat than it did at 20. Spinal Collapse: How protein debt causes your skeleton to harvest its own "support beams." The OMAD Trap: Why One Meal A Day is failing your muscle mass and your metabolism. GLP-1 & Ozempic Warning: The high-stakes race against muscle wasting on weight-loss drugs. Kidney Myths & Fat Macros: Why the "experts" have lied to you about the safety of meat. Stop counting the hours on your fasting app and start stacking the bricks. Your independence—and your spine—depends on it. Disclaimer: We are not doctors or health professionals. We are certified primal health coaches sharing our personal experiences and research. Please consult with your medical provider before making significant changes to your diet or lifestyle.
