Meats. Often the centerpiece of the meal, meats offer a nutritional profile that is impossible to replicate without them or supplements. Not all meats are created equal though. In this video I break down the relative nutritional profiles to see which ones you should be building your meal plan around, and which ones are best left on the shelf.

Carnivore Radio goes straight at the stories polite media panels soften, sidestep, or bury. In this episode, Jeff Sherman and Eric Lopkin challenge the public image surrounding Anthony Fauci, examine the political fallout from newly discussed testimony and personal records, and question whether power, ego, and accountability ever truly meet. The hosts also tear into Washington's handling of Iran, Donald Trump's negotiating strategy, and the widening war inside the Democratic Party between moderates and democratic socialists. From New York's government-run grocery store promises to the release of Biden-related recordings and the collapse of another reckless political publicity stunt, nothing gets a free pass. This is not partisan cheerleading. It is blunt debate, sharp analysis, and a direct challenge to the narratives pushed by both parties and amplified by mainstream media. Listen now to Carnivore Radio and decide for yourself.
IMO the Carnivore diet:Starve the bacteria of their carbs.Integrate anti-inflammatory spices.Reduce pancreas workload.Slow energy absorption.Increase insulin sensitivity. Reduce adipose(fat) tissue. Feel fuller. As long as you don't accompany the meat with sugars or starches. Also consume easily digestible proteins like beans, fish, and chicken. Or slow cooked beef(80% human dna eeew).

Trim Healthy Podcast w/Serene & Pearl (and some guy named Danny)
Extreme food trends can feel so convincing, especially when people see quick results. In this lively family poddy, Pearl and Serene welcome their firstborn sons, Arden and Bowen, to talk honestly about the carnivore trend, diet “honeymoon periods,” balanced eating, and why simple, sustainable health habits still matter. The four of them dig into why restrictive plans can be appealing, what can happen when we start fearing whole food groups, and how to think through viral health claims with a little more wisdom and a little less panic. Arden shares parts of his own health journey, Bowen brings his usual healthy resistance (and fact-checking), and Pearl and Serene come back again to the food freedom they've taught for years. This is not about shaming anyone for trying a new approach. It is about remembering that health is not usually found in an extreme. It is built, meal by meal, through real food, enough protein, healthy movement, rest, and a way of eating we can actually live with. In this episode, we talk about: Why carnivore and other restrictive plans can feel helpful at first The difference between quick scale changes and long-term health Why protein, carbs, vegetables, fruits, and healthy fats all have a place Building strength and supporting a healthy metabolism over time How Arden found more freedom by moving away from overthinking food Why a balanced approach may not be flashy...but it sure is livable A little family banter, because apparently having your sons on the poddy means they get to correct your numbers in real time Come listen, laugh with us, and be reminded that you do not have to chase every new food rule to care well for your body. We can choose wisdom, balance, and real food...and still enjoy our lives. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Dave Mac Dave Mac is the host of the No Carb Life YouTube channel. He’s conducted over 1,900 interviews with people reversing chronic illness with a carnivore diet, and has personally followed the carnivore diet for nearly four years. Key Quote “I’ve interviewed people that have reversed or seen improvements with glaucoma. And a gentleman that was legally blind — after doing carnivore for a while — he saw his daughter for the first time in 10 years.” — Dave Mac Dave’s Top Tips Take it one day at a time. Don’t project into the future or think about how you’ll manage it for a year — just focus on getting through today without carbs. If you slip up, don’t beat yourself up — get straight back on track. Beating yourself up just makes it harder to get back on the wagon; treat a slip as past and move on immediately. Don’t try to do everything at once. Trying to start carnivore, OMAD, and extended fasting all on day one sets you up to fail. Just focus on carnivore first — the fasting side tends to happen naturally once you’re fat-adapted. Send us Fan MailNicolas Hunter is an experienced extended faster who has transformed his health through a combination of fasting, carnivore-based nutrition, and nutrient-dense ancestral foods. After reaching more than 345 pounds, Nicolas lost over 185 pounds and gradually moved away from calorie counting, constant restriction, and the idea that eating less every day was the answer. Today, he uses carnivore not as a rigid ideology, but as a practical metabolic tool that makes extended fasting feel natural and sustainable. His current rhythm often consists of a 72-hour fast, followed by two generous one-meal-a-day refeed days, and then another 72-hour fast. When he eats, he prioritizes meat, fish, eggs, traditional dairy, and other simple, nourishing foods, eating until genuinely satisfied rather than counting calories. Nicolas believes fasting should not feel like punishment, starvation, or a daily battle against hunger. For him, the real breakthrough came when food stopped controlling his attention and the constant “food noise” disappeared.Nicolas no longer sees fasting as endlessly deciding not to eat. He sees it as regaining the freedom to decide when to eat. His philosophy is simple: fasting is not something you force through suffering—it is a natural state the body can return to when it is properly nourished. Carnivore is the tool, extended fasting is the practice, and freedom from constant hunger is the result.Nick's motto is- "Fasting is not when you spend your life deciding not to eat. Fasting begins when you regain the freedom to decide when to eat."Find Nicolas at-Email- nickhuntersf@me.comFind Boundless Body at-myboundlessbody.comBook a session with us here!
Barbara and Jacie continue their CIRSx 2026 recap with the medical talks, emphasizing that the episode should not be considered medical advice and encouraging listeners to consult their own CIRS practitioners. They summarize Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker's talk on “triple positives” on GENIE (AKT, RELA, tubulin) as an early risk pattern for neurodegeneration including Parkinson's, highlighting the promise of early intervention. Dr. Lacey Venanzi focused on gut-driven inflammation in CIRS via LPS, dysbiosis, permeability tied to low MSH, and discussed preferred microbiome testing. Dr. Kellen Milani shared a stalking experience and the need for practitioner boundaries. Louise Carter reviewed GENIE/HLA patterns, suggesting CIRS subtypes and vascular dysregulation. Dr. Eric Dorninger covered step five of the Shoemaker Protocol: androgen correction, especially DHEA, plus additional testing options like DUTCH. Carnivore Radio goes straight at the political and cultural fights dominating the conversation. Jeff Sherman and Eric Lopkin break down the Democratic Party's collapsing approval numbers, the growing influence of socialist and communist activists, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani's clash over Benjamin Netanyahu, and new questions surrounding noncitizens on New Jersey voter rolls. The hosts also challenge higher education, the Smithsonian's cultural agenda, Elizabeth Warren's political judgment, and the legal fight surrounding the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger. "There's no such thing as a weight problem — it's a weight symptom." Ben Azadi joins Robert Lufkin MD to dismantle the calorie myth and reveal the metabolic root cause underneath stubborn fat, fatigue, and disease.Ben Azadi — functional health practitioner, founder of Keto Camp, and bestselling author of "Metabolic Freedom" — unpacks metabolic flexibility, diet variation, fasting, and why staying in ketosis forever can backfire. He previews his revised book "Keto Flex" (out July 21) and shares how he lost 80 pounds and rebuilt his metabolism from the inside out.Chapters:00:00 — Introduction01:30 — Ben Azadi's 80-Pound Transformation Story03:00 — What Was Actually Broken in His Metabolism06:00 — "You Don't Have a Weight Problem, You Have a Weight Symptom"07:30 — The 3 Percenters: Why 97% Chase Symptoms08:30 — Ask the Right Question: How Do I Lower Insulin?09:30 — Diet Variation: Why Cycling In and Out of Ketosis Works Better12:00 — Feast Day vs Cheat Day: Flexing to Healthy Carbs13:30 — Warning Signs You've Stayed in Keto Too Long15:00 — Hormesis, Stress, and the Post-Menopause Caveat16:30 — Using Heart Rate Variability to Dial In Your Stressors18:00 — The Carnivore "Toxin Terminator" and Plant Compounds22:30 — Chapter 9: A Customized Keto Plan for Women25:30 — Fasting, Autophagy, and mTOR Balance28:30 — How a 48-Hour Fast Resensitizes Your Dopamine Receptors30:00 — Where People Get Fasting Wrong (Don't Forget to Feast)33:00 — Metrics That Track Real Progress (Glucose, CGM, Oura)34:30 — AI, Wearables, and the End of One-Size-Fits-All Diets37:30 — What's New in the Revised Keto Flex40:30 — Metabolic Freedom vs Keto Flex: Which Book First?42:00 — Final Message: Identify the Interference, Let the Body HealKey takeaways:Weight is a symptom, not the problem — chase the root cause (insulin, inflammation, hormones), not the number on the scale.Metabolic flexibility beats rigid dieting: cycling in and out of ketosis with feast days keeps the body adaptive.Staying in ketosis indefinitely can backfire — watch for warning signs and build in strategic carb refeeds.Hormetic stressors (fasting, cold, exercise) help — but dose them to your recovery, tracked via HRV and tools like the Oura ring.A 48-hour fast can resensitize dopamine D2 receptors and reset reward signaling.Women often need a cyclical, customized keto approach — one-size-fits-all fails.Studies & sources:Fasting and dopamine D2 receptor availability — Dunn et al., Diabetes Care 2012 — diabetesjournals.orgKetogenic diet raises glutathione (hormesis / antioxidant defense) — Napolitano et al., Metabolites 2020 — pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.govBen Azadi's revised book "Keto Flex" (bonuses) — ketoflexbook.comDr. Lufkin's book "Lies I Taught in Medical School": robertlufkinmd.com/lies⭐ Enjoying the show? One of the questions I get asked more than almost anything else is..."Coach...what's the best diet?"Keto?Mediterranean?Carnivore?Vegan?Intermittent fasting?Low carb?High carb?Every expert seems to have a different answer. And every expert can usually point to studies that support their position.So... who's right?Honestly...probably all of them. For somebody.Because my very first Life Rule—the first rule I've had written in my phone for over ten years—is this:Life Rule #1: Do what works for you.Resources:Brain.fm App(First month Free, then 20% off subscription)Discount Code: coachdamiensdCaldera Lab Skin Carewww.calderalab.comDiscount Code: CoachDLinks:IG:@coachdamien_sd@damienrayevans@livinthedream_podcast YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS6VuPgtVsdBpDj5oN3YQTgFB:https://www.facebook.com/coachdamienSD/
Barbara and Jacie kick off their annual CIRSx 2026 Conference recap series, focusing this episode on remediation and environmental talks, with a reminder to consult an indoor environmental professional (IEP) for climate-specific guidance. They summarize key presentations: Bill Weber and Christine Semabeu on prevention-first building and homeowner maintenance (leak management, access panels, alarms, early mechanical planning, and the book “Mold Controlled” by John Banta); contractor Brian Tinker on why building code isn't sufficient for “medically clean homes,” the need to budget for mold-safer materials, identify dust reservoirs, and validate with testing throughout construction; forensic engineer Joe Lstiburek's moisture-management building science emphasizing drying potential and prioritizing people/building health over energy efficiency; Air Oasis updates including a planned 2027 model with requested features and current 2.0 model features; Max McCord on using thermal imaging to find hidden moisture; Osman Zelaya on making inspection reports function like construction blueprints through clearer communication; and Jack Getz's case study building an 800 sq ft CIRS-friendly home over a garage with detailed design choices and costs. Carnivore Radio takes on the political and cultural stories others soften, dodge, or bury. Jeff Sherman and Eric Lopkin break down the fallout surrounding Graham Platner, the Democrats scrambling to erase their support, and the wider damage caused by ideological loyalty over judgment. They challenge the promises behind Zohran Mamdani's agenda, examine the business flight reshaping New York and California, and question whether political leaders understand the consequences of their own policies. The hosts also confront Iran's ceasefire violations, renewed military action, falling inflation, and the media narratives shaping public opinion. Then they turn to celebrity activism, Hollywood failures, and corporate brands that alienated their own customers. No partisan protection. No cultural sacred cows. Just sharp debate, blunt analysis, and hard questions for every side. Listen now to Carnivore Radio and hear the arguments mainstream commentary avoids.
Is El Salvador still Bitcoin country, or did the world move on the moment the IMF deal got signed? Mike sits down with Will Lehr (@thewilliamlehr) from Club Cocal, James (@beefbackbetter) from Beef Back Better, and Ronny Avendano (@ronnyavendano_) from the Bitcoin Hardware Store to talk about the Bitcoin farmers market, El Salvador real estate, self custody, and what life on a Bitcoin standard actually looks like on the ground today. The conversation starts with the Bitcoin farmers market, which just hit its three year anniversary. What began as a small gathering in El Zonte has grown into a real engine of local commerce, connecting Salvadoran vendors, ranchers, and artisans directly with the people buying from them. No intermediaries or faceless supply chain, just a producer, a buyer, and Bitcoin changing hands. The group traces how it moved from El Zonte to its current home at Club Cocal and why it's become the meeting point for Bitcoiners from all over the country. From there the talk shifts to why so many people are choosing to build their lives here in the first place. Will calls it a reverse brain drain, skilled people and capital flowing into El Salvador instead of out of it, drawn by a level of freedom and safety they say they can't find at home anymore. Several guests point to what they see as government overreach elsewhere, unrealized capital gains taxes in the Netherlands, wallet registration requirements in the EU, Bitcoin ATMs disappearing in Canada, as the exact pressure pushing people toward a country that's betting the other direction. That bet shows up clearest in El Salvador real estate. Will walks through what he calls a Bitcoin floor underneath land values here, and makes the case that El Zonte now holds some of the most expensive property per square foot in the entire country. Whether that's a sign of a healthy market or a bubble waiting to pop is left for the viewer to decide, but the group is clear about where they're placing their own money. The episode closes on something bigger than any single topic, the idea that self custody and freedom tech aren't just Bitcoin concepts, they're a full lifestyle. Ronny connects owning your own keys to owning your own food source, your own health, your own decisions, and the group makes the case that El Salvador is quietly becoming a real world test case for hyper-bitcoinization, one farmers market, one hardware store, and one ranch at a time. Drop a comment and tell us if you think El Salvador is still worth the bet. Barbara and Jacie share “hot takes” after CIRSx 2026 in Fort Lauderdale. Barbara attended in person and Jacie watched virtually. They discuss feeling “weird vibes” and a more corporate yet conflicted identity, with misalignment about whether the conference is for providers, patients, or remediators, and concerns about limited innovation within the Shoemaker community. They encourage practitioners to seek innovation through CIRS Lab and mention Dr. Lacey Venanzi and Dr. Christian Navarro-Torres' work. They highlight standout talks from Brian Tinker on safe homes, Dr. Venanzi on endotoxemia/actinos in the gut, Mike Pelletier on patient lifestyle changes, Dr. Kellyn Milani on being stalked by a patient, Louise Carter on GENIE patterns, Jack Goetz on building a CIRS-conscious home, and Kayleigh Concannon on low-tox furnishings, while noting many other talks felt unhelpful and lacking actionable takeaways. Carnivore Diet, Cholesterol, Gut Bacteria, Microbiome, and Fasting Insulin Results from a 90-Day Self-Experiment What if cutting out fiber entirely actually improved your gut bacteria? This episode breaks down a real 90-day carnivore self-experiment, complete with before and after blood work, stool testing, and continuous glucose data, that challenges everything you think you know about fiber, cholesterol, and metabolic health. Watch this episode on YouTube for the full video experience: https://www.youtube.com/@DaveAspreyBPR Host Dave Asprey sits down with Ben Azadi, founder of Keto Kamp and bestselling author of Metabolic Freedom. After overcoming obesity and severe health challenges, Ben has spent years educating millions of people on metabolic health, fasting, ketosis, and biohacking strategies through his podcast, books, and YouTube channel with over a million subscribers. He is known for turning complex science into practical tools anyone can use to burn fat, boost human performance, and support long-term longevity. Ben walks through what happened when he ate nothing but meat, eggs, and dairy for 90 straight days, tracking everything from his microbiome diversity to his LDL particle size. His cholesterol numbers spiked, but the full lipid panel tells a very different story than most doctors would assume. They get into why ketosis works better when you cycle in and out of it, how sodium and electrolytes play a bigger role in insulin resistance than most people realize, and why eating 17 to 23 times a day might be quietly wrecking your metabolism. The conversation also covers the real science behind creatine absorption, why Dave adds his to hot coffee for better brain uptake, the truth about cooking oils and smoke points, and why cold plunging is one of the most misunderstood biohacks in the wellness space. Dave and Ben dig into mitochondria, fasting protocols, sleep optimization, and the supplements that actually move the needle for energy, fat loss, and anti-aging. This is essential listening for anyone serious about biohacking, functional medicine, brain optimization, and building a body that performs at a higher level for longer. You'll Learn: What 90 days of zero fiber actually did to his gut bacteria and microbiome diversity Why his cholesterol went up but his cardiovascular risk markers stayed low The real reason cyclical ketosis works better than staying in ketosis full time How sodium and electrolyte intake affects insulin resistance and metabolism Why eating too frequently keeps your body stuck in glucose and insulin spikes The creatine hack that increases brain absorption using hot coffee Why cold plunging is overrated for most people who skip the hormesis basics Thank you to our sponsors! - PredictiveMind™ | Get your Brain Pattern Mapping report at predictivemind.io/dave and use code DAVE for 10% off. - ZenBud | Dave's Nervous System Biohack. Keto, carnivore, and high-protein diets come under scrutiny as Popper exposes the long-term risks of these popular trends. #KetoDangers #CarnivoreMyths #ProteinFacts #HealthTalks
Brian has been on a carnivore diet for almost 4 years. He was very overweight most of his adult life. In 2018, he developed A-Fib, and was having 2-3 paroxsymal A-Fib episodes per week before starting carnivore. Lower back and hip pain were so bad that he couldn't sleep longer than a couple of hours in bed at night. Brian also struggled with low energy, mild depression, joint pain, arthritis in his big toe, high triglycerides, low HDL, and low vitamin D. Within a few weeks on carnivore Brian was sleeping all night in bed, joint pain was going away, and he noticed A-Fib episodes were not happening. He lost 60 pounds in the first 3 months and 85 pounds over the first year and has maintained that weight loss since starting carnivore in July of 2022. Brian has gone over 3 1/2 years without a single A-Fib episode. His cardiologist has had him wear a heart monitor multiple times, including once for 30 days, and participate in a stress test and ultrasounds, showing no evidence of going into A-Fib anymore. In November of 2025 Brian had a CAC scan and it was 0. His HDL is improved and triglycerides are way down. His Vitamin D level is normal, and no longer has issues with joint pain or arthritis in the big toe. Starting carnivore at age 48, Brian is now 52 years old and feeling better than he did in his 30's. In this The CIRS Group Podcast episode, Jacie and Barbara explain MARCoNS (multiple antibiotic resistant coagulase-negative staphylococci) as a common deep nasal colonization in CIRS patients and why it's addressed as step three in the Shoemaker Protocol (after leaving exposure and using binders). They discuss how MARCoNS may perpetuate inflammation and low MSH, what symptoms can look like, and how to test via a deep nasal swab (ordered from MicrobiologyDX). They review Shoemaker-style treatments such as EDTA with silver, BEG spray, plus alternatives like xylitol sprays, ozone, red light therapy, and propolis sprays, along with titration and irritation considerations. They also cover why MARCoNS can recur (ongoing exposure, incomplete eradication, pets, personal items), debate whether MARCoNS is cause vs result, and mention broader nasal testing (MicroGenDX Sinus Key) and evolving approaches beyond the patented Shoemaker Protocol. Craig shares how his wife Maria's health journey led them into the low carb world, why doctors still often fail to ask about food, how the body prioritizes alcohol, glucose, fat, and protein, and why ketosis is a normal metabolic state rather than something to fear.
