Friends With Boredom

This episode starts with a solo rant from Jonathan. Emotions were raw after the Orlando Magic traded away Vucevic and Jonathan does a deep dive into that before expressing confusion over the appeal of country music. After that, Chris joins in and he and Jonathan breakdown 90's post-hardcore music. 

Our friend The Viking returns to talk about the long awaited Snyder Cut of The Justice League. We discuss the events that lead to the disastrous 2017 cut of the film and what transpired in the years leading up to this brand new directors cut of the film. We also talk a bit about The Viking's interview with Zack Snyder, what's next for the Snyderverse, and we dabble very briefly on the original green power ranger, Jason David Frank. 

NBA TOPSHOT FEVER HAS TAKEN OVER! This week we are joined by Adam Papageorgiou, relatively new expert on all things related to TopShot, and our friend and fellow Close-Ip Magic contributor, Wyatt Alan. So obviously we talk TopShot, but we diver a bit into Mario Hezonja's warm welcome in Greece, and the insight (or lack there of) provided by TNT's Inside The NBA crew. 

Chris and Jonathan are joined by the nicest guy on the planet, Joshy Singer. We talk about a million and one things, including him going viral on Tik Tok, present day Pokemon cards,  then Chris and Josh try to sell Jonathan on  Anime, and finally we end the episode with our favorite fictional villains draft

This week we are joined by Stephen Cameron (the boss man over at The Close Up Magic) and Luke Smith our favorite Australian guy ever. We talk Australian cuisine, our favorite beers, alligator meat and the NBL (Australia's premier basketball league)

This episode is part one of a long ass, guest filled series. On this episode we are joined by long time friends Chevall Kanhai (Baseline Times) and Nick Nache (literally has nothing to plug). The gang talks about a plethora of things, including (but not limited to) NBA All-Star Jamal Magloire, Jeezy, some of the best restaurants in Orlando, and the recent controversy surrounding the fuck bois over at Robinhood.  

In a VERY basketball heavy episode, Jabari Davis joins in to provide insight on the James Harden trade, the Kyrie situation in Brooklyn and what Houston should be doing in the short term . We then transition into our first ever draft, this week the guys draft their favorite hip hop beats ever.

Its our first solo episode in like 3 years. Exciting, right? On this episode Jonathan and Chris talk about Mimi Rogers explicit nude scene in the 1995 film "Full Body Massage" and then follow that up with some talk about the current state of affairs for the New York Knicks and the Orlando Magic. The guys finish the episode raving about the technological eye gasm that is Dolby Vision. 

Recorded the day before Jonathan lost his job, so its taken a few weeks to get this episode out there. This week we talk to Star Wars and Spiderman super fan, Trey Mitchell, about MCU's Spider-Man 3 (a live action spider verse?!), Warner Bros releasing their 2021 slate onto HBO Max, and then we shift to a bit of NBA talk

Brian Roesler returns! And this time we dive ever so lightly into the NBA Finals and Jonathan's disdain for Tyler Herro, we then allow Brian to discuss at length why Robocop is a great film that has themes that are still prevalent today, and lastly we talk about the Deftones newest album and we try to sell Chris on actually listening to them.

Our friend Charles returns to the show to discuss the Before Sunrise trilogy. Not much more to say than that...well...except maybe that this very well could be our most absurd episode yet!

Another geeky epsidoe coming your way. We swear we're not trying to typecast ourselves! This episode we are joined by Shawn (or maybe Shaun? or perhaps Sean?) from Movies That Maher w/ The Viking. Like Jonathan, our friend The Viking is a big Batman fan and is a big part of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut community, so naturally with the release of the new Justice League trailer and of course the EPIC teaser for Matt Reeves "The Batman" we knew we had to bring this guy on. Its a very Batman heavy episode afterall. We hope you guys enjoy!

Jonathan and Chris go back 13+ years and we talk about Chris's beginings as a comedian, his relationship with the late and great Greg Giraldo, and how he transitioned into what he does now with comicbook.com. We also discuss BATMAN, specifically the news of Michael Keaton returning to the role after 30 years, whether or not we'll see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange) or possibly Into The Spider-Verse 2, the future of Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal in their respective roles as Daredevil and The Punisher. We end the convo with a brief chat about Todd McFarlane and the future of Spawn.

Episode 6 is FINALLY here. This time we are joined by our friend Neil aka Neezy aka yosoywitit aka PestoGawd. We talk about the upcoming console wars (PlayStation 5 vs Xbox Series X), how exactly the NBA will return, our countries response to the Covid pandemic and of course it wouldn't be an episode of FWB if we didn't discuss food in some capacity.

This week we are joined by our good friend Kevin King. He's got nothing to promote, obviously. He's just a regular dude. We talk about his tattoos, the time we got caught vandalizing and of course why he didn't make time for Jonathan when he visited Florida.

Wow. Jeff Sahyoun from Letlive joins us this week. That's pretty cool, huh? Jeff talks about how he came to be a part of letlive, the recording process for Fake History, the breakup of the band and whether or not we'll get a reunion. We also talk about what he's involved in today (helping in the creative process for Hyro The Hero, running his own recording studio AudioBakery, and his work in progress solo album)

It took awhile to release (sorry, I haven't had time to edit!) but Brian Roesler has returned from the pisser to continue his conversation with us about our favoite films of the last decade. We also talk about the resurgence of Keanu Reeves (aka The Keanussance) and our love for post-hardcore music (Hello, Glassjaw and Thursday)
