This week we kick things off with Young Thug's sit-down interview with Big Bank and what he had to say. From there, Lecrae gets his flowers, we settle the internets heated Pusha T vs Jeezy debate, and we break down cars ranked by fatal accidents (with some surprising results). The crew also reacts to Charlie Kirk's name in the headlines, the wild idea of a UFC event on the White House lawn, and the Basketball Hall of Fame induction including the drama around Melo's speech. We wrap with Week 2 of the NFL and Johnny's picks. From rain-soaked moods to summer nostalgia, the conversation shifted into everything from hustling in East London to fatherhood and legacy. But the moment that set the room on fire? The claim that Michael Jackson invented the ad-lib and how that connects all the way down to modern rap and Jeezy's “Yeahhh!”Alongside that, we got into:Street hustles, early money, and whether retail ever made sense.Raising kids in today's world, education vs. entrepreneurship.Conspiracies around Epstein, Farage in America, and freedom of speech.Ugly truths, beauty standards, and whether people can ever handle raw opinions. The psychology of self-image, from acne to body changes, and how being on camera changes everything. This one is a mix of culture, controversy, and comedy, the perfect TDA blend.

Overview: On today’s Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast, the headlines cover volatile politics, celebrity conflict, and an unexpected road trip. First, Donald Trump is under fire for his controversial comments on migrant farmworkers, calling them naturally suited for hard labor while disparaging people in the inner city—criticized as demeaning and insensitive by labor advocates and immigrant rights groups. Meanwhile, former NFL legend Shannon Sharpe sparked concern when he jokingly demanded $5,900 from co-host Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, citing a cash-strapped moment during his “Nightcap” podcast. The exchange comes amid massive legal and financial pressures—including a recent $50 million lawsuit settlement and a new $20 million defamation suit filed against Sharpe and Johnson. On a different vibe entirely, rapper Jeezy shared how he nearly missed his Baltimore show, only to have an Uber driver save the night—driving him 10 hours from South Carolina to arrive just before showtime, earning praise and a special shoutout from Jeezy himself for pulling off the impossible. It is Tuesday on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast and there are a variety of stories the crew discussed today. A tragic mass shooting at 345 Park Avenue—a Midtown Manhattan office building housing the NFL and major finance firms—left five dead, including NYPD officer Didarul Islam, and injured others as the shooter, identified as Las Vegas resident Shane Tamura, took his own life. Authorities found a note suggesting Tamura blamed the NFL for degenerative brain injury (CTE)—though his exact motive remains unclear. In brighter news, NFL legend and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is officially cancer-free following bladder-removal surgery performed to remove a high-grade tumor. Sanders revealed he drafted his will during the ordeal, describing the journey as emotionally intense. Despite ongoing lifestyle adjustments, Sanders is set to return to coaching this fall and hopes his transparency will raise awareness about early cancer detection. On the entertainment beat, rapper and mogul Jeezy celebrated 20 years of his debut album Thug Motivation 101 during his appearance on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show. On this episode of BSTV, Ya Boi Shad and G. Downs sat down with the legendary Jody Breeze, a member of the iconic hip-hop group Boyz-N-Da Hood. They began by discussing his upbringing in Griffin, Georgia, and his subsequent move to South Florida for school. However, early trouble led to a move back to Griffin with his family. Breeze then recounted his journey into rap, revealing that he wasn't initially drawn to the genre but was discovered by a local radio station after freestyling over the phone. This chance encounter led to a meeting with Jazzy Pha, who ultimately signed him to his label before the age of 18. After signing with Jazzy Pha and Noontime., Breeze went on to join Boyz-N-Da Hood with Young Jeezy, Big Duke, and Big Gee, and release the hit single “Dem Boyz.” The song became a global phenomenon, and one of the biggest songs out at the time. Breeze addressed a recent story made by Jeezy on the Drink Champs platform, where he claimed that Jeezy had everyone leave the studio to record his verse. He clarified that this was not the case. The conversation then turned to rumors surrounding the legendary T.I. and Trick Daddy, who was originally part of the group. Breeze shed light on the reasons behind their departure before the release of their first album. He also discussed his second album with the group, revealing that he had been mentally checked out by the time it came out. Breeze touched upon his personal life, including his relationships and the challenges they've posed. He spoke fondly of his friendship with Lil Wayne, acknowledging Trick Daddy's early mentorship to him. Breeze also shared his interactions with Diddy and discussed Diddy's recent R.I.C.O. case. The episode concluded with Breeze ranking his top five Atlanta rappers and his top five rappers of all time. He also commented on the recent beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, expressing his thoughts on the rap battle. From there, we dive into NBA playoff action, breaking down Anthony Edwards' explosive performance and making bold predictions about which powerhouse will emerge from the stacked Western Conference. Our conversation heats up during the "Trap Mount Rushmore" segment, where we debate whether the current monuments—Jeezy, Gucci Mane, T.I., and Yo Gotti—accurately represent trap music's founding fathers. Should Future replace one of these pioneers? The disagreement reveals deeper questions about what constitutes musical legacy, with album sales, Grammy recognition, and cultural impact all weighed differently depending on who you ask.The landscape of college athletics is undergoing a seismic shift, and we break down how the new NCAA revenue sharing model is transforming recruitment and team economics.
