Tomáš a Ľuboš si pozvali do prvého dielu Kika, ktorého môžete poznať z NBA podcastu a takisto ako zakladateľa podcastovej série “Off The Bench”. V úvode sme prešli históriu EuroBasketu, rozdiely v pravidlách medzi NBA a Európou a hrací formát aktuálneho ročníka. Nakonci sme zhmotnili naše očakávania a odporúčania koho a čo sledovať. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/druhalajna/message

Efes murdis tänu Micici kontserdile maha Fenerbahce 10. mängulise võiduseeria. Asvel rammis Barcelonale juba teise võidu ja liigutakse jõuliselt play-offi poole. Kas 40a Gasol üldse tulebki sel hooajal väljakule? Panathinaikos tõi endale NBAs viiendana valitud Hezonja. Vene meedia kritiseerib ja ootab Itoudise vallandamist. Lõpetuseks kiidame Albat ja ohkame Himki teemadel. *Eestlased välismaal. Telefonikõne Saksamaa alevikku Kelterni Mailis Pokkile ja Janne Pulgale. Lassi klubil Ungaris käsil rasked ajad. Kia NBA All-Seeding Team 1st Team: (Lillard (MVP)/Booker/Doncic/Harden/Warren) 2nd Team: (Giannis/Kawhi/LeVert/MPJ/Porzingis) Kia NBA Coach of the Seeding Games (Monty Williams) Trailblazers/Grizzlies: A lot of ball screens for Portland to free up Lillard. The guards are looking to get downhill vs. Memphis bigs. Lillard hits his first three after Blazers start 0-3 and Collins follows up with another corner 3 on the next possession. Well balanced attack from Portland so far - everyone chipping in. Trailblazers really need to buckle down defensively. They can really give teams trouble with the high low offense between Nurk/Whiteside. Portland has completely took over this game. Another area where Portland can gives teams trouble is possessing bigs who can stretch the floor. Hezonja with good minutes while hitting a 3. Whiteside and Anthony cannot defend the Anderson/Valanciunas pick and roll. McCollum & Lillard already in double figures. Both teams are fighting! Nurkic is hiring shots from all over the floor and now has a double double (2Q). He had 17 rebounds in the 1H to go along with 15 points. He is exhausted which will be something to keep an eye on. Blazer pick apart the trap with a quick pass to Nurk who kicks to McCollum. Blazers porous defense is the difference in this 3Q. It’s going to be their downfall. DAME WITH THE JAM! It always seems when Portland sets those wide screens with Nurk at the top of the key passing that it equate to success. Watching Lillard, I’m impressed with his jabs and rip throughs. This game is highly competitive. Trailblazers attacking Dieng. The problem for Portland now is that Memphis is beaming with confidence and they are trying to get back in the game. Gary Trent Jr. with a couple of huge deflections to get stops for Portland. McCollum ties it up! He is picking on Morant. STAY MEL0 Grizzlies are being aggressive in guarding the ball screens vs. Lillard. Brooks is such a competitor, he’s not going to back down from Melo/McCollum/Lillard. They are going to need Anderson and JV to step up as they are the ones with the most experience in pressure games. Morant is smooth in the open floor and is quick getting into the paint. Grizzlies are really struggling to score (1Q) as Brooks/Morant/JV/Clarke are 5-18. Melton will he needed to provide some scoring as the main options aren’t producing. But the best thing for them is that Dame hasn’t gotten go yet to put them away and their trio hasn’t gotten off to a good start. Now they are on a 13-2 run. Brooks looks like Lillard right now! Both teams are fighting! JV with 14 rebounds. Here’s the problem... Trailblazers are making a little run to end the quarter, but only down 8 and Ja isn’t playing well. He continues to be aggressive. Memphis needs to trap Dame the rest of the game. Morant is going to be a nightmare for teams once he can consistently knock down 3s. It sickens me how many long 2s Brooks takes. Anthony Tolliver has been such a steadying presence in this game. Brandon Clarke has stepped in this 3Q to provide scoring next to Morant. Ja has such a great ability of making that over the top pass off of screens to shooters. Grizzlies attacking Whiteside. What a 3Q from Memphis with 43 points. Morant is out here HOOPING! I really hate that technical in this game where there’s a lot of emotion. Morant’s ability to split on ball screens is impeccable. He’s getting to whatever spot he wants to. Is there a better player who can drive left and shoot the right handed floater better than Morant? Memphis really need to protect these offensive possessions late in the game and not give Portland extra possessions. Melton would’ve been better than Allen on Dame there. BROOKS! The Blazers have traded Kent Bazemore, Anthony Tolliver & two 2nd round picks to the Kings for Trevor Ariza, Caleb Swanigan & Wenyen Gabriel. Then Damian Lillard scored a career high, Blazers and MLK Day record 61 points in an overtime win over the Warriors - all while missing 4 starters due to injury and 2 fill in starters to the pending trade. Nurk had a full on practice and Collins is working his way back too! Should the Blazers still trade Whiteside? Is this finally a turning point for the Blazers? Austin and Christian discuss all this and more! What questions do you have? Comment and hit us up on Twitter! Peeps in Plaid | @PeepsInPlaid | https://www.twitter.com/peepsinplaid Christian Gmelin | @ChristianGmelon | https://www.twitter.com/christiangmelon Austin Kaphammer | @AKaphammer | https://www.twitter.com/akaphammer Huge thank you to Ziggy Zay and Macchione for the intro and outro music, check out Ziggy wherever you stream your music and Macchione on Soundcloud! Episode Timeline: :35 – *TRADE ALERT* and Dame’s career high! 2:27 – Recapping Blazers V. Warriors 8:52 – Our opinions on the Bazemore-Ariza trade 15:15 – Championship contending rosters and how the Blazers roster looks 20:40 – Upcoming Blazers games and what we hope to see 22:19 – Hassan Whiteside trade timing 24:53 – Who should the Blazers trade for next? 33:30 – Hezonja, potential free agent acquisitions, versatility and depth 38:14 – What Trevor Ariza brings to the table
Just in time for the holidays Tara and Cassidy have ideas for gifts to give the Trail Blazers this season. What gift might help channel Hezonja’s intensity or help Whiteside focus? What could we possibly give to Damian Lillard, the man who has it all, that would adequately express our appreciation for everything he does? What experience would Anfernee Simons remember forever? Highlights 2:45 Rodney Hood goes down. 5:30 What do the Blazers do next? They will still fight. 10:15 Holiday gifts: For Lillard we picked out a gift for his son that we think someone should actually sell in the store, a game of Trail Blazers Guess Who! 14:00 How do we make sure we don’t take Damian Lillard for granted? 16:00 It has taken a while for Kent Bazemore to find his groove. Hope he can score more and get a couple more shots per game. We would give him a mountain bike because we think he’d like shredding downhill. But only in the off season. We think he needs more time in the starting lineup to have any opinion on how that is going. 18:15 Carmelo and Portland were both looking for missing pieces. Carmelo found a team and Portland found some much needed offense and excitement. We give him a City of Portland Skyline Puzzle. It feels like he just got here but he’s played almost a dozen games. 24:30 Cassidy would give Whiteside some LEGO to play with. The attention to detail and focus it takes to build a massive LEGO set could just be what he needs. Also, she thinks she set unrealistic expectations for him so as a bonus gift she’s just going to enjoy the double doubles. Hassan, your team needs you, not just with stats but with stops. 28:15 For Jusuf Nurkic as he continues his recovery we think he could use a companion so we would give him a tiny dog with outfits that match his. What are our expectations when he comes back? We have none, we just want him back on the court. Just his presence will boost the team. 32:00 Tolliver might just need a better night sleep. So far this season he has the lowest effective field goal percentage on the team. He’s getting some good looks but things just don’t seem to be dropping. So this holiday season we would get Anthony a weighted blanket, like a giant hug while you sleep. 34:45 For Mario Hezonja we suggest a weekend at Brightenbush Hotsprings so he can get some fresh air and relax and let the game come to him instead of forcing things. 38:45 Nassir Little gets a warm hat because after cutting off all his hair he’s going to need it in Minnesota and Toronto in January. 40:15 Skal can have whatever he wants. Has the best +/- of the bench players, still negative but better than anyone else. 42:00 Gary Trent Jr: we want more pictures of him. A gift for him would be a 80’S sweatsuit collection. 43:00 CJ McCollum world's best teammate t-shirt. While Lillard leads the team so well, McCollum is the teammate that will do the dirty work like trash talk, foul hard, and get mad. 44:45 Collins disco ball and dance floor at his house. 46:00 Anfernee needs to hear his name chanted at the Moda center, so we need to come up with an “Ant chant” for him. 49:00 The next WHAT meetup is January 5, come watch the Blazers take on Meyers Leonard and the Miami Heat with other women and supporters who love basketball. The Trail Blazers added 10x All-Star and former scoring champion Carmelo Anthony, waived Pau Gasol due to injury recovery and lost 3 of 4 in the last week including a loss to the depleted New Orleans Pelicans without Dame in Carmelo's first game in over a year. Christian rants and Austin gets in a few words too, while avoiding discussion on the heartbreak of the last few weeks. Who/What are the most important trade assets for the Blazers? What is +/- and is it important? What is the outlook for the Blazers season? Is there still potential to win the Championship? Thanks for all the input so far! Embiid vs Giannis was AMAZING huh!? But... Mario Hezonja blocking Lebron to officially end his prime and finish off a rough weekend for Lakers fans was pretty brutal, eh? Anyway - we've got WEEKEND WINNERS & LOSERS with Giannis dunking on Ben Simmons... then Big Simmons returning the favor... Mike Scott swigging from a fan's drink.... the Nets being beaten by a SWEET LOU Williams buzzer-beating game-winner AND the Blazers getting some good news about CJ McCollum's knee. Also - we have Andrew Bogut back in the NBA this week... after we found out that Dante Exum is out for the foreseeable future with a torn patellar tendon. Sad reacts only. Plus there's a new Andrew Gaze GREY MAMBA AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN THE FIELD OF EXCELLENCE... a DICKHEAD OF THE WEEKEND... and heaps more The usual perusal of the odds with a pick & preview of all NINE NBA games tomorrow is there... and there's even a new DELLY REVIEW for you, as 'Delly' goes in on the new Netflix movie, TRIPLE FRONTIER.
