Hello and welcome to Kitted Out Podcast, a podcast on football shirts. Each episode, I will take an in-depth look at a different shirt from throughout the years to discuss everything about it. The design, the materials, the story. For episode 14 we’re discussing the best kit that never was. On the run up to Euro 2016 all the kits were being released, some shirts barely touched the sides but there was one that stood out the most. Being the host nation it would only make sense for France to be given the best looking kit, even if it was the away kit. Join me, Gavin Hope and Anthony Pla as we discuss Euro 2016, the tournament, the kits and the robbery of Portugal. Hello and welcome to Kitted Out, a podcast on football shirts. Each episode we will take an in-depth look at a different shirt from throughout the years to discuss everything interesting about it. The design, the materials, the story. For episode 3 I looked at the 2005 Stand Up Speak Up kits released by Nike to bring awareness to the campaign with the same name. Nike released kits to 5 teams in total as well as creating replicas to raise money for the campaign which ran from 2005 to 2008. I chat with Gustavo Thomas about the kit he has, George Starkey-Midha about the work Kick It Out is doing, Kadeem Simmonds about racism in football media and familiar voice Nico Morales about racism in European football. What is being done? What role does the media take and why, in 2018, is this still an issue? All questions no one has asked but ones we will answer.
