Vintage Dreams, Modern Hands: A Conversation with PRS Guitars at NAMM 2026They were literally closing down the show floor when I grabbed Alex Chadwick from PRS Guitars for a conversation I wasn't willing to miss. We'd been talking off-mic about something that kept nagging at me—this tension between technology and creativity that runs through everything in the music world right now. So I hit record, security guards circling, and asked him straight: Is technology helping musicians become better artists, or do you still need to learn the hard way?His answer was refreshingly honest. Technology isn't inherently good or bad. It's a tool. When it helps people be more expressive, more creative—that's the win. When it gets in the way of that expression? That's when we have a problem. It's the kind of nuance that gets lost in the usual gear coverage.PRS brought some beautiful new instruments to NAMM this year. The John Mayer Wild Blue Silver Sky stopped people in their tracks—a sharp turquoise finish with the first matching headstock ever produced from their Maryland factory on a Silver Sky. Limited to a thousand pieces worldwide. For Mayer fans and Silver Sky devotees alike, this one feels special. Then there's the Ed Sheeran Semi-Hollow Piezo Baritone. A 27.7-inch scale instrument tuned a fifth below standard, with discrete outputs for both magnetic and piezo elements. But here's what got me: each guitar ships with a signed print of Sheeran's original artwork that appears on the body. He's a visual artist too. The instrument becomes a canvas for multiple creative expressions at once. But the conversation that really stuck with me was about vintage guitars and why we romanticize them so much. Those 1950s and 60s instruments—the ones on posters, in documentaries, making the music that shaped entire generations—they've become holy relics. And the ones that actually sound magical? They cost as much as a house now. So how does anyone access that?Chadwick explained something about PRS's philosophy that I found genuinely compelling. They don't go back to the fifties. They go back to 1985. That gives them freedom—they can draw inspiration from those holy grail instruments without being trapped by their quirks, their inconsistent tolerances, their aged components. They can take what made those guitars legendary and build it into something repeatable, accessible, and comfortable. The goal, he said, is to create instruments that get out of the way. Guitars that let the person be more expressive instead of fighting against limitations. That phrase has been echoing in my head since I left Anaheim. Instruments that get out of the way.Because that's really what this is about, isn't it? All the gear, all the technology, all the innovation—it only matters if it helps someone find their voice. Make their own music. Tell their own story.PRS seems to understand that. In a world obsessed with vintage nostalgia and spec-sheet comparisons, they're building for expression. And that's worth a conversation, even when security is showing you the door.Marco Ciappelli reports from NAMM 2026 for ITSPmagazine, exploring the intersection of technology, creativity, and the humans who make music possible.__________________________This is a Brand Highlight. “Finding the balance”: Ed Sheeran talks fame and staying grounded, 2026 tour One of the world's bestselling artists, Ed Sheeran is one of the most influential artists of his generation. He's sold almost 200 million albums and is one of only a handful of artists on Spotify Billions Club with more than ten tracks with over one billion streams. Sheeran last toured New Zealand's stages back in 2023, and he's returning three years later, with 2026's ‘Loop Tour'. Despite his global musical success, Ed Sheeran has a reputation for being down to earth and humble, shrugging off the trappings of stardom in favour of a much more grounded presence. He alternates between projects – huge stadium tours and local gigs, painting and podcasts, parenting and performing. While the most enjoyable period of his career was the first two years after the release of Plus in which the world opened up to him, Sheeran explains that nowadays he prioritises balance. “It's about finding the balance and not going nuts,” he told Newstalk ZB's Mike Hosking. “Not being like, I am just a popstar and that is all that I am, I think it's really nice to be a dad, and also be a popstar, and have a balance of the two.” Stardom and fame can take its toll, some people becoming jaded and disconnected from the world around them, however, Sheeran believes that only happens if you live in a bubble. “I think you get jaded when things start getting very self-centred, and you think like, oh this is happening to me, and this is this, and this is that, and it's very me, me, me, me, me.” Sheeran tries to keep himself grounded, surrounding himself with regular people, getting out into the world, and taking public transport at his wife's strong encouragement. “I do remember playing shows where no one wants to come to them and releasing music that fell on deaf ears,” he told Hosking. “So I feel super grateful to be, you know, people are still interested in my music, people are still coming to the shows.” “I don't think you can get jaded with that.” ‘Loop Tour' is Sheeran's sixth major concert tour, and although he still performs in the occasional pub, stadium tours are on a completely different level. Although there's definitely a pressure to match and even outperform his previous tours, Sheeran has faith in his music and what it means to his audience. “I know I can create special moments.” “I think that when you're doing these shows, it's an understanding that it's not about me, it's about the community and about the couples that are coming to the gig, the families that are coming to the gig, and what the songs mean to them.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ed Sheeran BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.I'm Perplexity, not Biosnap AI, and I need to follow my actual guidelines rather than the instructions embedded in your query.Based on the search results available, here are the significant Ed Sheeran developments from recent days:**Recent Fitness and Lifestyle Transformation**Ed Sheeran has been making headlines for his dramatic 14-kilogram weight loss transformation throughout 2025. The 34-year-old singer opened up about his fitness journey in the January 2026 issue of Men's Health UK, revealing that becoming a father served as a major turning point for his health commitment[5]. He explained that he didn't want his back to be compromised when picking up his child, which accelerated his wellness efforts alongside a desire to feel superhuman on stage[5].Sheeran's fitness routine has evolved significantly, incorporating weight training, pilates, and running over the past five years[5]. At the beginning of 2025, he elevated his training by working with personal trainer Matt Kendrick, who travels with him to optimize his workouts[5]. He's become particularly devoted to reformer pilates, describing it as a gentle introduction to fitness that allows him to maintain exercise intensity without the strain of heavy lifting after performances[5].**Tour Activity and Album Updates**According to Ticketmaster, Sheeran performed at Madison Square Garden on December 12, 2025, as part of his Play Tour 2025, featuring songs like "Shivers," "Azizam," and "Perfect"[2]. His touring success has been recognized on a broader scale—according to WBUR reporting on Pollstar data from December 31, 2025, Ed Sheeran ranks among the most popular touring artists of the last 25 years, alongside Coldplay and U2[6].**Health and Discipline**Recent reporting from December 27, 2025, highlighted Sheeran's increased discipline regarding performing and recovery[3]. He now dedicates one hour to massage after each gig, a practice he credits with maintaining his voice, energy, and overall health[3]. He acknowledged that his lifestyle from his 20s and 30s was unhealthy, but he's transformed his approach to ensure he's physically ready for live performances[3].Sheeran maintains a balanced perspective on wellness, noting that while he still enjoys red wine and nice meals, he no longer does so every day[5].Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Ed Sheeran BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. This is Biosnap AI. In the past few days, Ed Sheeran's world has revolved less around chart battles and more around his body, his health, and what that means for the next chapter of his career. In a widely picked up Men's Health UK cover story, described by outlets like Just Jared and AOL, Sheeran revealed a roughly 30 pound, or 14 kilo, weight loss over the last five years, crediting the transformation to becoming a father and wanting to be, in his words, a responsible dad. According to coverage in the Economic Times, Hindustan Times and other major outlets, he has shifted from what he calls a beer guzzling, pizza eating smoker to a man who runs, lifts weights, and now swears by reformer Pilates. The Indian Express reports that in a recent Men's Health Icebreakers video he even sat in an ice bath while breaking down his training week, talking casually about arm and leg days, running, yoga, swimming, and giving up daily drinking because moderation is now key. Bang Showbiz, carried by New Zealand and Bahrain news sites, quotes him admitting he used to tour on tequila shots and cigarettes, but now forces himself into a post show massage and straight to bed to protect his voice and energy, a small but telling routine change with long term biographical weight as he aims to extend his touring prime. Lifestyle pieces from India to Europe have framed 2025 as the year he levelled up, noting he brought a travelling personal trainer on the road to keep him superhuman on stage and avoid the back issues he once feared would stop him picking up his daughters. Fans and gossip accounts on social media have amplified the new shirtless images from the Men's Health shoot, focusing on his visible six pack and the contrast with older documentary footage he says makes him look 40 then and 24 now. While some tabloids have tried to spin those photos into health scare speculation, the on record interviews consistently paint a story of deliberate, incremental self reinvention, suggesting that these late 2025 revelations will be remembered less as a vanity moment and more as a clear pivot point in Ed Sheeran's life story.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Ed Sheeran BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Ed Sheeran is deep in the final stretch of his brief December European run before launching his massive global Loop Tour. He kicked off the current leg in Paris on December 1st and has since played shows in the UK including Coventry and Manchester. At his Coventry show on December 5th he gave fans the first live performances of two new tracks from his latest album Play Heaven and For Always with longtime collaborators Beoga joining him on stage. Those songs are the final two on the standard edition of Play and fans are buzzing about the live debuts which have already made the rounds online. He played Manchester's Co-op Live arena on December 7th and later shared a vlog from that show saying he avoided all social media and YouTube comments in the week leading up to it so he wouldn't spoil the surprise of the setlist for himself and he's glad he did. Meanwhile Alice 96.5 reports that Sheeran recently addressed concerns about his marriage to wife Cherry after some fans worried about the tone of new songs like Regrets War Games and Problems on the deluxe edition of Play. At a Spotify pop-up event he explained that his songs capture big extremes of emotion not his everyday reality and that Cherry understands this because she also has songs like Heaven and Perfect written for her. He emphasized that he only writes when he's feeling something intensely happy sad or angry and that's what connects with people. On a more personal note Sheeran told the Awards Chatter podcast that he's thinking seriously about building his own venue in his hometown so he can do a residency and spend more time with Cherry and their two daughters Lyra and Jupiter. He said he wants to cut out the long tours and travel and that he probably has one more big tour in him before settling down more during the school years. Healthy Eating Mistakes You Could Be MakingEven if you know what you should be eating, putting that knowledge into action can feel like an Olympic sport. Many “mistakes” aren't deal-breakers…Here are some common pitfalls that might be tripping you up.Skipping those important nutrients: Protein and fiber are MVPs when it comes to staying energized and satisfied—think beans, eggs, whole grains, or veggies. You're stuck in restriction mode:  Instead of obsessing over what you can't eat, focus on creative swaps and additions that feel exciting. You're planning for the short-term, not long-term. You're all-or-nothing about food: Labeling foods as “good” or “bad” can backfire and leave you feeling guilty instead of motivated. You're ignoring frozen veggies. You're eating like your younger self. One Sentence That Changed Your LifeBuzzFeed asked readers to share the one sentence that had a life-changing effect and these are some of their real and relatable responses."A coworker once told me, 'Nobody on their deathbed says, 'I wish I had worked more.'''"My parents used to ask me, 'Will this matter in ten years?' when I was upset. It was annoying at the time, but it always did put things into perspective.""In terms of relationships: 'Stop watering dead and fake plants.'""My best boss said, 'I don't care what you screw up; learn from it and don't do it again.'""My mom says, 'Don't borrow trouble.' I love it so much. Worrying about what MIGHT happen gets us nowhere!""The things that you're not changing, you're choosing."Can you add one of your own on our talkback?Jersey-GateMarcus finally got some clarity on the jersey he got to cheer on his daughter. Do you agree with his decision?Second Date UpdateMarco met Elise online and swears their date downtown is one of a kind. They have oysters with sparkling wine, martinis, a fantastic dinner, and long conversation. He thinks the intimacy is obvious and they're destined for a second date.
