Stepping up to the SUNANDBASS Podcast and leading us into autumn is producer and DJ, Deekode. Originally from North West England but raised in the Midlands, Deekode has spent years shaping his style and sound, deeply influenced by SUNANDBASS Recordings. “I remember being a 15-year-old kid walking home from school rinsing Sun & Bass releases like ‘In The Shade' by Fracture & Mark System, ‘G-String' by Code 3, and ‘Rain' by Skeptical on repeat in my headphones, daydreaming of one day releasing on the label. To be invited to guest mix the Sun & Bass Podcast is an honour & a dream come true, a real full-circle milestone & without a shadow of a doubt the biggest tick on my music career bucket list so far.” Deekode describes his sound as intricate yet stripped-back sonics blended with deep but energetic beats. This mix takes us on an extended journey through drum & bass, opening with shimmering, melodic liquid before venturing deeper into the dark, minimal territory he's best known for. Perfect for our transition into autumn, check out this journey mix and let it soundtrack your season

As we get ready for our return to Sardinia this week, we're proud to present this month's SUNANDBASS podcast from Blindside, featuring a special Futures Past mix. This selection is a nod to the legendary mixes from Fabio for Muzik MasterS, Doc Scott and LTJ Bukem for Mixmag, all of which had a huge influence on Dan's journey. From starting Breakthru events, to working on Soul:r and now Space Cadet, we're thrilled to welcome Blindside back to the Podcast. “This is a mix of some of my favourite tracks from the mid-90s. Its working title was Future's Past, partly because, even though these tracks are 30 years old, they still sound light years ahead, conveying emotion with an energy that only drum & bass can.” Music from the likes on Peshay, Photek, Intense, Wax Doctor and across corners stones like Metalheadz, GLR, Creative Source and Prototype. Go check it out and get in the mood for #SAB25

His versatility as a DJ is second to none. We're honoured to welcome him to the SUNANDBASS Podcast with a mix full of classics and tracks that inspire him, sounds that connect deeply with the spirit of SAB. “Huge shout to Zar for asking me to put this together. SUNANDBASS holds a special place in my heart — this is a huge honour. Massive thanks to DRS for blessing me with a vocal drop for this mix, the voice of Soul:ution & Space Cadet, the best in the business! This drum & bass music will always excite and inspire me. Forever chasing goosebumps. I hope you all enjoy this mix as much as I did putting it together. Big shout to Stefano and the crew!” Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dj_jim_bane Mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/Bane Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jimthebanespratling
