The health of Gabe Landeskog immediately became the top priority for the Avs in just their third regulation loss of the year against Florida, but it seems they avoided the worst case with an upper body injury. Additionally, Toews and Blackwood will also some miss some time. The loss to Florida comes on the heels of another great comeback win over the Hurricanes, with the powerplay finally coming through. 2025 has come to a close, and what a run it's been for the Avalanche since October, as the first team in NHL history to hit 30 wins before the new year. Blackwood and Wedgewood being snubbed from Team Canada couldn't the new years spirit, as the Avalanche got to embarrass Jordan Binnington who was selected instead in front of the GM who picked him, running the Blues out of the building with a 6-1 dominant win. With Nathan MacKinnon hitting 400 goals as well, there's so much greatness to reflect on as we head into 2026.
