In their in-depth discussion, the AW team talked about the film year of 2020, briefly discuss talk about Nomadland as a Best Picture winner, how this year is full of celebrities that are problematic or "cancelled" and how that speaks to the legacy of their nominates and or wins, do an extensive conversation over the below the line categories and nominees for the year, and then the new version of the AW Shoulda Woulda Coulda game, where instead of individual replacements, they must decide as a group who the nominees and winners should be in the top eight categories. The rules of the game state they can only replace two of the nominees that year from each category, except in Best Picture, where the group could replace up to four films to make up the final set of eight nominated films. Paleontologists have identified an ancient reptile with a towering crest made not of skin, or scales, or feathers, or antler—but something else entirely. It's some kind of integumentary outerwear we've never seen before. Baffling. The only word that can be used to describe the 2025 Atlanta Braves' season. The unbelievably bad start buy the offense was merely the tip of the iceberg. The opening day rotation eventually ended up on, and are currently on, the 60-day IL for various reasons. That in of itself is almost incomprehensible. Now, Ronald Acuña Jr. is hurt again, this time an Achilles. Ronald will be back in Atlanta this week to get an MRI, but was seen in a boot after Tuesday's game vs the Kansas City Royals. This was only precautionary (we hope), but Acuña Jr was already placed on the 10-day IL by the team. Hopefully the news comes back positive, but even with positive news, we may have seen the last of Ronald Acuña Jr. for the 2025 season. Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael explore the Acuña Jr. injury a bit further, and what the outlook for the rest of 2025 may look like.
