After years of forgettable deadline days, this year's summer window provided the drama right up until the final minutes. Alexander Isak got his move to Liverpool, Yoane Wissa went to Newcastle, Marc Guehi stayed at Crystal Palace, Ederson left Man City and almost every club was busy until the deadline, meaning there's loads to react to on today's pod with Niall and Marley. The lads go through the deals and fallout from a busy period, and there's even some breaking news from Manchester while recording, which could be terrible news for someone that's just arrived himself...

We answer your poll of the week, dive into Twitter questions, and reflect on what it all means for Eddie Howe's squad. Finally, we turn to Leeds 0–0: two points dropped, positives and negatives, our winner and loser of the week, and a look ahead to Wolves after the break. On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on last minute defeat at Sunderland on Saturday. Brentford fell to defeat in the North East despite a reasonably positive performance. Igor Thiago's second half opener looked like it had made amends for Kevin Schade's penalty miss, but Enzo Le Fee brought things level from the spot before Sunderland snatched all three points late on. Off the back of that result, and following the departure of Yoane Wissa to Newcastle on deadline day, we thought we might be in line for a bit of business before the window shut on Monday night. Reiss Nelson arrived on loan from Arsenal, but that was Brentford's only incoming before the window closure. We reflect on the defeat, chat about Brentford's summer business, and analyse how the squad is looking as we go into the first international break. Learn more about your ad choices.
