We continue in Mark 2:1-12 with savior's demonstrated authority. Both Matthew 9 and Luke 5 present this same incident of four men making a way to the savior through the roof of the house where Jesus was teaching. The problem the scribes and pharisees had was their ignorance of the savior and His divine authority. It is easy to say words that declare the forgiveness of sins, but only the Lord Jesus has the divine authority to not only declare it, but to make it happen. Our Lord demonstrated the divine authority of God in commanding the paralytic man to rise up, take his stretcher and go home. He did just that in the presence of all the people. The people were completely astounded by this miracle in which Jesus demonstrated His Deity and forgiveness of sins. Here is Dr. Mitchell on the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast, Mark 2:5.

In this episode of The Wealthy Practitioner Podcast, Steph sits down with longtime friend and entrepreneur Jill Cherry— founder of Cherry Picked WebCo (@cherrypickedwebco) — for one of the most honest and expansive conversations we've had on the show. Jill's story is a powerful example of what happens when identity, motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship collide — and what becomes possible when a woman finally decides to build a business on her own terms. From helping run her husband's chiropractic practice, to navigating the pressure and guilt of being a stay-at-home mom, to accidentally discovering the skillset that would change her entire life, Jill shares the journey that led her to build a thriving online business that now supports their entire family. Steph and Jill dive into the identity shifts required to trust yourself, raise your standards, and command your value. Australia Dominates England in First Ashes Test Amidst Heat and Humidity: Colleague Jeremy Zakis reports that Australia has taken a commanding lead in the Ashes, scoring 511 runs to England's opening 334, attributing the English team's struggle to the harsh Australian environment ranging from 100-degree dry heat in Perth to tropical humidity in Brisbane, which fatigues players and alters ball aerodynamics; the Australian squad appears to be executing a strategic "long ball" game that England failed to anticipate, with an Australian victory in the next match in Melbourne set to secure the series win. 1937
In high-pressure careers, stress is constant, and for adults with ADHD, that pressure can quickly turn into frustration, overwhelm, and chronic complaining. In this short episode, Dave digs into one of the most important personal upgrades you can make: shifting from reacting to your problems to actively solving them. This isn't about ignoring stress or pretending things are easy…It's about learning how to reclaim control, build momentum, and become someone who figures things out instead of staying stuck in the same mental loop. Remember, those of us with Adult ADHD are great problem solvers! Key Discussion Points: Why the "complaint loop" feels productive, but quietly drains your energy and power The critical difference between venting for relief and problem-solving for change How ADHD magnifies overwhelm, and why shrinking problems restores momentum The one question that instantly shifts you from reaction mode into solution mode How language shapes your outcomes: replacing emotional drama with usable data Why problem solvers don't wait for perfect clarity, they take imperfect action fast The identity shift that changes everything: becoming "the person who figures it out" If you feel stuck in the same frustrations at work or at home, this episode will give you a practical, actionable roadmap to move forward, one small decision at a time. **Do you want to work with Dave one-on-one? UK Labor Government Faces Backlash Over Broken Promises — Simon Constable — The UK Labour Party, despite commanding a substantial parliamentary supermajority, faces uniform public rejection of its fall budget that systematically violates campaign pledges regarding middle-class taxation. Constable documents that Chancellor Rachel Reeves faces accusations of exaggerating past achievements on her curriculum vitae, specifically claiming a "Britishgirls under 14" chess championship subsequently challenged and disputed. Constable notes OECD warnings that the new budget framework will negate economic growth, signaling severe economic deterioration for Britain. 1940 LONDON BLITZ
PREVIEW — Joseph Sternberg — Keir Starmer's Political Survival Amid Labour's Economic Malaise. Sternberganalyzes the mounting challenges facing UK Labour leader Keir Starmer, noting growing restlessness within his party despite commanding parliamentary supermajorities. The forthcoming budget will prove economically "punishing," featuring substantial tax increases potentially affecting working households—contradicting election pledges. Labour faces sustained unpopularity due to elevated inflation, anemic economic growth, and an immigration crisis. The party's substantial seat majority was secured with an "unusually slim plurality" of actual votes cast, undercutting political legitimacy. 1901 commons
Montgomery, commanding ground forces for D-Day, gave a "scintillating" and persuasive briefing on his revised Overlord plan. He set objectives in Normandy, like capturing Caen, that were perhaps beyond the means of his exhausted British troops, worsening his relationship with American generals. Montgomery's Operation Market Garden failed to achieve its objectives; the absence of his trusted chief of staff, Freddy Duingan, removed a critical checks and balances system. Rommel showed moral courage by standing up to Hitler in June 1944, arguing the war was over and negotiations were necessary. Patton's swift repositioning of his Third Army to relieve Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge was his finest hour, surprising both allies and Germans.
