I am so thankful for this little blessing and when I look back at my labor and delivery, I am glad I got to experience it the way I did because I honestly feel like I can do ANYTHING in this world. It is so easy to be negative...especially when it comes to ourselves! This season of life has been difficult in many different ways and I open up about a story that started it all. I share how we can start training our brain to reframe these thoughts and help us not go down the trail of negativity! It is something we definitely have to work on- so make sure you have a pen and paper and jot down the simple ways to help you next time your thoughts are not serving you!
I just finished reading the book, "That Sounds Fun" by Annie F Downs. In the beginning of the book she talks about taking chances on opportunities and being an amateur....not having it all together...and it being okay to not be professional. It resided with me so much about so many different areas in life that I wanted to share my thoughts on it. The world and social media has raised all these standards and expect us to have it all together and be a professional with whatever we do...and we simply need to give ourselves permission to be a beginner. Whether that is in our health, business, career, motherhood....whatever it may be! From an abusive marriage to having to file for divorce at 24 due to him having an affair, Sav turned to drugs and alcohol to ease that pain but it did nothing but lead her to an eating disorder. Her world came crashing down and hit rock bottom in 2020. She filed for divorce, found the Lord, and took control of her health. 130 pounds later, she is one of the FINAL contestants in our community challenge! Her story is so moving and powerful! I just completed a workout program called Sure Thing on the platform, BODi. It was 8 weeks long and focused on strength and endurance. I absolutely LOVED it and recommend it to anyone at any fitness level. This program focuses on the progress over the results.
