Welcome to another episode of the podcast. Today I have a fun episode called the Ins and Outs for 2025. This episode was inspired by other Ins and Outs lists I've heard over the past few weeks. First, what is an Ins and Outs list? The Ins are things I did in 2024 that I want to do again, new stuff I want to try. The outs are things I don't want to bring forward to the new year that doesn't serve me anymore or don't help me get the next version of Maggie that I want to be. I am hosting a LIVE workshop on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 12:00 NOON EST called Recipe Prep For Cookbook Success. In the workshop, I will help you get started with your cookbook project by selecting your recipes and organizing your vision for the book. Welcome to 2025, folks! Jodi is joined by Alexis Wilson in our first episode of the new year to first go over a few funny little things that have happened over the past two weeks, including Zendaya and Tom Holland getting engaged, Mrs. Fields of cookie fame being revealed to be a baddie, a Carrie Underwood stan account turning on her, and Club Chalamet's busy month (0:45). Then, they name the United States government as Traitor of the Week for banning TikTok (22:37) and do a full deep dive on the bizarre and wonderful Robbie Williams (who?) musical biopic, ‘Better Man,' throughout which he is depicted as a CGI chimp (35:35). Finally, in honor of the new year and all it can bring, they share their ins and outs for 2025 (1:03:18). I love the INs and OUTs lists everyone makes around this time of year. So naturally I make my own. They are fun but powerful reminders of what I'm taking with me into the new year, and what I'm leaving far behind (for example, I'll be happy to never eat at a strip mall chain restaurant in Florida ever again). 2024 came in hot. My head is still spinning at the sheer amount of plot twists and lessons that were packed within this weird and wild 365 day span of time. But we keep it moving. We learn and we grow and even when it doesn't all make sense, we somehow become better versions of ourselves. And we only listen to Taylor Swift when we're mentally preapred to do so. No matter what this year brought you, I hope that you give yourself a hell of a lot of grace. And I hope that you decide who you will be in 2025, because you, my queen, have been — and always will be — the author of your life. XOXO, Cara Follow me on Instagram @TheChampagneDiet
