Join us for an inspiring sermon on "Compassion in Action," where we explore the true meaning of mercy and how it can shape our lives. Based on Matthew 5:7, we learn that mercy goes beyond feelings and leads to compassionate action. Reflecting on Hebrews 2:17 and Ephesians 2:4-5, we understand God's immense mercy. We've become experts at judging others' sins while excusing our own, but God loves everyone equally, including those who wrong us. If we've received mercy, we're called to extend it to others, as illustrated in Matthew 18:21-35. Genuine forgiveness showcases the Gospel of Jesus, and not forgiving ourselves puts us above God. Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to approach God's throne for mercy and grace. Showing mercy involves understanding someone's story beyond their sin, and remembering that God's mercy is greater than any mess. Experiencing God's mercy turns us into vessels of mercy for others. Let's embrace mercy and live out compassion in our daily lives!
