We all get triggered, it's part of being a human with an imperfect past. That's not the problem. The problem can be figuring out what to do when these moments of being triggered start harming our relationships and breaking down our own self-worth. Learning how to respond to our triggers in healthy ways and address the underlying reasons for the triggers is the work we're discussing here today. Thanks for listening! Ingrid Schneider, Founder and CEO of Stay In Your Lane and Train In Your Lane, joins Brendon Dennewill to challenge how franchise brands approach AI adoption, brand identity, and scaling past the critical 30-unit ceiling. Drawing from years of fractional C-suite work across franchise and multi-location systems, Ingrid unpacks why companies that skip education and jump straight to implementation almost always fail, and what a smarter, more human path to AI transformation actually looks like. Where has comparison distracted you from the lane God has given you? We explore this question as Pastor Shannon challenges us to stop comparing our gifts, season, and calling to those of others.
I've been spending more time in the car lately, and it got me thinking… there's a way people move through their careers that isn't obvious when you're in it. You can feel busy, even productive, and still not really be moving the way you think you are. There are patterns, signals, and moments most people miss simply because they're focused on what's right in front of them. Once you start to notice what's actually happening around you, the way you make decisions starts to shift. And when that happens, things begin to move differently. Humans are wired for connection but our primitive, protective brain often sabotages intimacy, making marriage hard. Each partner brings a personal "story" (adaptive behaviors from childhood) that feels true but can trap us in defensive patterns. Real partnership asks both people to own and clean up their stories, offer grace, and create a safe space for vulnerability. When two people choose growth over blame, differences become strength and true intimacy can grow. Thanks for listening! Want to learn more about this concept? What does it look like to scale a franchise brand with intention—without losing culture, clarity, or community? In this episode of The Franchise Woman Podcast, Rebecca Monet and Tracy Kawa sit down with Becca Page Ruebke, franchise development expert at Stay In Your Lane, for a thoughtful conversation on systems, fractional leadership, and building brands that truly fit the people inside them. Becca shares her journey from mortgage lending into franchising, explaining how her love of systems, puzzle-solving, and relationship-building led her to a career focused on helping franchisors scale sustainably. She also breaks down what fractional franchise development really means—and why it's becoming such a powerful model for emerging brands. In this episode, you'll learn: What fractional franchise development is and why it works How to design systems that support different types of franchisees Why clarity around the ideal franchisee is essential for growth How introverted leaders can excel in high-trust franchise sales Why community building—locally and nationally—is a long-term growth strategy How to balance being "inside" and "outside" a brand at the same time This episode is especially valuable for emerging franchisors, franchise development leaders, and anyone interested in intentional growth through systems, alignment, and trust.

Episode Three of Chasing the Wind exposes one of the quiet forces that steals joy and contentment from our lives: comparison. In Ecclesiastes 4, Solomon notes that much of our work and ambition are fueled by envy...comparing our lives to someone else's success. But a life based on comparison will never find peace, because the scoreboard is always changing. In this episode, we learn that wisdom calls us to step away from rivalry, envy, and competition and discover the strength of a quiet, contented life. The third rule for catching what lasts is both freeing and practical: Don't compete with your neighbor.Follow Coach Dan Holland:Facebook ➡️ https://www.facebook.com/CoachDanHollandYouTube ➡️ @CoachDanHolland Visit us online

Judging others seems to be as easy for us as breathing air, and yet, when we judge we create an inner turmoil that exacts energy from us and leaves us feeling drained and exhausted. When we can learn to manage our thoughts and step into grace instead of judgment, we will find that we grow into a space of overflow, a place where we feel energized and an abundance of love and compassion. A decades-long research project has learned that the quality of our lives depends on the quality of our relationships. And what a tragedy that so many of us do not have the tools to create deep, intimate, connected relationships. We have a tendency to hide our true selves behind half-truths, behind saying we're 'fine' when we're not, behind being so amenable and accommodating that we never rock the boat. And yet, in seeking to keep things low-maintenance and easy, we are being dishonest with ourselves and with our partner about who we really are, what we really desire and prefer, and we show up instead as a shallow shell of who we really are. Until we truly learn how to be honest with ourselves and with our partners about who we are and what we really want, we will never be able to create the equal partnerships so many of us crave. Trying to control someone is not the same as loving or caring for them. True compassion respects autonomy; it does not try to engineer outcomes. So, do not exhaust yourself trying to change what is not yours to fix. Peace comes from accepting what is, keeping in mind that acceptance does not mean approval, it simply means recognizing what is within our control, and gently releasing what is not.

What does it take to create a beautiful and safe relationship? In this episode I am revisiting combining two analogies I've used before, the bucket analogy and the relationship circle, and I'm calling it the Relationship Bucket. How do we fill this bucket up? Who is responsible for filling it? What things will fill it? Is how women fill it different than how men fill it? All of these questions and more are part of our discussion today. Many of us were taught the idea that relationships are hard. But I have a secret for you. Relationships aren't hard. Keeping your ego in check and behaving kindly rather than harshly is the hard part. When two people prioritize each other, choose to engage and invest in the relationship, show up equally and honestly, and offer each other grace and kindness, relationships are easy. If you're looking for tools to learn how to do this, we've got you. Sione joins me in this podcast to talk about the tools we use and how we are creating an incredibly easy relationship. Scope of practice is one of the most ignored, and most dangerous, issues in modern fitness and health coaching. In this episode, we break down what doctors, registered dietitians, nutritionists, personal trainers, and health coaches are actually qualified to do, and where crossing the line puts clients at risk. We discuss how fear-based marketing, anti-medicine narratives, and “do-everything” coaching models have blurred professional boundaries, leading to misinformation, missed diagnoses, and real harm. This episode is a must-listen for anyone who values ethics, evidence, and client safety over clout. Whether it's a spouse, our children, our parents, siblings, friends, or coworkers, we don't have a say in whether or not they choose to love us. And whether they love us or not, it says nothing about us and everything about them. It also doesn't say that they are wrong or bad, just that they are a human with their own preferences and wants and desires, and maybe we're just not a good match for them. And that's okay. Learning to make peace with others not loving us is a huge part of growing up into middle-age. Thanks for listening! Want to learn more about this concept? We explore why New Year hype and social media make it hard to stay focused, then map a calm plan to define strengths, set a real destination, and handle the people who nudge us off course. The car next to you isn't headed to your exit, and overcorrection causes wrecks, not progress.• naming two core strengths and the feelings they create• separating your destination from someone else's highlight reel• seeing the full cost behind visible wins• spotting “lane bumpers” and setting kind boundaries• practicing course correction without overcorrecting• replacing timelines and age myths with steady action• using small daily habits to protect momentumhttps://aarondegler.com/
When public figures, athletes, celebrities, and most especially - women, speak out after political or social crises, they're often met with the same tired command: “Stay in your lane.” In this episode, we unpack why that phrase is more than just dismissive, it's a tool of patriarchal control. From celebrity activism to everyday leadership, we explore how visibility equals influence, and why using your voice is a form of power. This episode challenges the idea that any of us should remain quiet or apolitical and makes the case that all people, regardless of their platform, are leaders with the ability to drive change.
Send us a textFor the first episode of 2026 (YAY!!) I thought it would be a good idea to bring out the "scope of practice" episode I did a while ago. You're going to get bombarded with ads for mealplans, personal trainers, gyms etc over the next few weeks and it can be very confusing as to who is actually qualified to say what. There are a tonne of Personal Trainers out there doing specific individual mealplans, and meal plan companies giving exercise advice, and it's important for customers to know why they are not actually the right people to listen to.So that's what today's episode is about; Who can do what, and why. So that you can exercise, train, diet, rehab etc safely and efficiently :)Just a reminder that HPNB only has 5 billing cycles! So this means that you not only get 3 months FREE access, no obligation! BUT, if you decide you want to do the rest of the program, after only 5 months of paying $10/£8 a month you now get FREE LIFE TIME ACCESS!This means you can sign up after your first child, use the program and recover and then still have access after giving birth to child 2 and 3!None of this "pay X amount a year" nonsense, once you've paid..you've paid! This makes HPNB not just the most efficient and complete post-partum recovery program, it's also BY FAR the best value.Remember to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for the competitions, wisdom and cute videos. And, of course, you can always find us on our YouTube channel if you like your podcast in video form :) Visit healthypostnatalbody.com and get 3 months completely FREE access. Sometimes we get these expectations around the holidays, and we think that this should be such a magical time and that no one should get grumpy or annoyed. We might believe we should feel the joy and peace of Christmas in abundance and all the regular challenges of life should just melt away under the warmth of the Season. But the truth is, whether it's Christmas or not, life still offers us up an abundance of the 50/50 of life, 50% good, 50% challenging. The struggles and challenges of life don't check the calendar before showing up in our lives. So learning to lean into the challenges, expect and anticipate the challenges rather than resisting them, is our best bet to actually feel more calm. Thanks for listening! Delanie Fischer chats with licensed psychotherapist Terri Cole about high-functioning codependency (HFC) and how to set healthy boundaries to prevent burn out, resentment, and feeling underappreciated. They explore signs like auto advice-giving, auto-accommodating, and keeping the peace at all costs, and uncover why many try to control others unknowingly. Terri shares actionable tools for shifting these over-functioning behaviors to let go of what's not your responsibility—freeing up your time and energy while empowering those around you. Psychological boundaries are internal boundaries that we set with ourselves, inside of our own heads. They allow us to decide what ideas, thoughts, or beliefs we want to accept and which ones we don't. We will receive a lot of messaging about who we are and how we are and we get to decide which of those messages is okay and which are not okay. Having good psychological boundaries with ourselves is a precursor to being able to set clear and concise external boundaries with others. Thanks for listening! Want to learn more about this concept? Falling asleep at the wheel? Not ideal. Being snapped awake by a ghost girl in a prairie dress just in time to dodge an 18-wheeler? That's... oddly considerate. In this episode, a listener from Ontario shares how a late-night drive turned into a heart-pounding encounter with either a long-dead farm girl, a guardian angel, or the creepiest espresso shot the afterlife had to offer. Was it a hallucination? A haunting? Or just one ghost's way of yelling, “Hey, stay in your lane”? Either way, she lived to tell the tale—and dig up some eerie local history in the process.
