Dr. Ed Fox talks with Dax Strohmeyer, CEO of Triangle Manufacturing, about the crucial importance of Employee Assistance Programs during a pandemic. His work with Triangle has demonstrated the importance of smart, adaptive behavior during a crisis and its impact on the health of the company when done successfully. Allyson Doherty, Manager, Organizational Development, has been with Triangle for 14 years. Alex has been at Triangle for 11 years as a CNC Programmer. He emigrated to the United States from the Soviet Union to escape a life of discrimination and limited personal freedom. With his wife and daughter, they built a rewarding, free life in America and are grateful for the opportunities they now enjoy. In his spare time, he pays it forward by teaching CNC programming at Bergen Community College. Jonathan de la Cruz Pimentel has been a Triangle associate since the beginning of 2019 and has quickly moved up the ladder and across multiple disciplines. He is extremely curious and highly motivated, starting as a material handler in two medical cells. He was fascinated by the machines and asked to be trained on them. He is now a #CNC operator. Overcoming hardships from an early age, Jonathan emigrated to the United States from the Dominican Republic when he was eighteen and has not looked back. Courtney joined Triangle originally in 2016 working in Quality Assurance and returned in March 2022 as a Quality Assurance Specialist. Courtney is a life-long dancer, and currently teaches dance to children of all ages in various styles for both competition and recreation. Nicholas Magro first came to Triangle as a college CO-OP in the summer of 2017. He was hired fulltime in 2019 and is now a Quality Engineer. It is clear that Nick loves to learn and challenge himself. Recently he completed his 6-Sigma Green Belt project through the Rutgers School of Business. His final project was focused on improving an inspection process for a spinal implant that Triangle manufactures for an OEM client. Using a new, automated vision system he created a new #RobustProcess that saved time and created greater efficiency. Dr. Samuel Lieber is an Assistant Professor in the School of Applied Engineering & Technology at New Jersey Institute of Technology. With undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering from NJIT, Sam enjoyed a successful career in the industry. But he always dreamed of one day returning to an educational setting where he could share his experiences and prepare future engineers for careers in the real world. Today he runs the NJIT Makerspace, a rapid prototyping and collaboration facility where engineers, architects, designers, and scientists can create and test ideas, put theory into practice, and turn ideas into reality. Matthew recently celebrated his 5th anniversary as a Triangle associate. He started as a production planner for 1 Manufacturing Group and was promoted to Supply Chain Manager in 2020. His previous experience in food service management for the new Barclay's Center arena in Brooklyn not only challenged him in extraordinary ways but brought his professional and management skills to new heights. At Triangle, he uses those same skills and processes but with different ingredients.
Allyson Doherty, Manager, Organizational Development, has been with Triangle for 14 years. Having spent some time on the marketing side during her early years, she transitioned to training and development and now leads all initiatives dealing with professional development and technical training. Most recently, she is spearheading the rollout of a multi-tiered Unconscious Bias training and Leadership development program using Franklin Covey methods and content. Helping people to successfully work with others is her passion.
Carlos Garzon has been with Triangle for 4 years. He is a CNC Setup Operator and is a “night owl,” working 2nd shift. He works in the medical manufacturing area on mills, both horizontal and vertical, as well as turning centers. His versatility with the equipment and his willingness to help others makes him the go-to guy when other associates have technical or setup issues. Kevin Wagner obtained a degree in the art of “Flameworking” and started his career in the world of commercial glassblowing, creating a wide scientific vessels and beakers out of glass. He now works in wire and sink EDM at Triangle, supporting all manufacturing areas, including the tool room.
