Camden County Cougar's baseball team is currently on a 7 game losing streak. The Cougars will play against Bergen Comunity College tomorrow at 12:00 and 2:00. Then they play them again on Monday at Bergen Community College. The start time will be 3:30. The Philadelphia Phillies, I broke down the signings of Kyle Scwarber, Nick Castellanos including their press conference and how important they are in the lineup. I discussed the signings of relievers Cory Knebel Jeurys Familia, and Brad Hand. In my opinion, they will boast this bullpen in a huge way. I broke down why the Phillies can not give up on Alec Bohm and correct his struggles. Aaron Nola is another guy who is showing issues from last year and in order for Nola to be successful is to trust his fastball and curveball. Obviously, there are more players to watch out for in a Philadelphia uniform but the two guys who are showing up to play are pitcher Christopher Sanchez and infielder Johan Camargo who hits tough pitches in the zone early on. If Alec Bohm is having a tough time playing at the hot corner or at the plate Camargo is a guy who needs to be on that roster come opening day. Pitcher Christopher Sanchez chose his fastball early on and that pitch stayed consistent throughout the inning. II mentioned other signings as well such as Rhys Hoskins avoiding arbitration I broke down Claude Giroux's tenure here and how he helped Travis Konecny this year regain his trust the last couple of weeks. Konecny shined against the Blues. I discussed how the return for Claude Giroux was a great package back and how Owen Tippett is already proving to the City of Philadelphia why they traded for him and the way he plays is like a 10-year veteran so far in games. I also gave my analysis on the 2023 draft picks and how that draft will be deep with talent. I said who the Flyers should draft if Philadelphia decides not to include that in trade talks to trade defenseman Ivan Provorov to raise his value in the off-season. I expressed my opinion on the new Rasmus Ristolainen deal and I completely understand that he has been one of our best defensemen but ever since he received that contract he had a difficult time in front of the net and behind the net in the defensive zone. Now I am not saying he does not deserve a contract he absolutely does but not 5.1 million dollars.

Welcome to Season 2 of the Jersey Baseball Show and the inaugural episode of TGIM. Let's get fired up for an incredible New Jersey college baseball story. Joe Miceli was a senior at Indian Hills HS in the Spring of 2018, struggling to hit 82 mph and HOPING for a shot to continue his baseball career. Nobody was knocking down the door but he finally did get a shot with DeSales University - a great D3 program under legendary coach Tim Neiman. That's when Joe's journey becomes a movie script. A velo spike and some conversations - internal and external - put him on the #JUCORoute and one shot to see where he takes it and Joe goes to Bergen Community College. A COVID year gives him extra time to grow, the fastball spikes to the mid-90s, he generates incredible spin rates and movement (3000+ on the breakers), he plays in the MLB Draft League and crushes it with more than a strikeout per inning, and Miceli transfers to national powerhouse University of Virginia, where he should be throwing key innings for a program that's ALWAYS in the mix for the College World Series. Sitting mid 90s and up to 96, Joe is now a big time MLB Draft Prospect. GREAT EPISODE for anyone who wants to bet on themselves, anyone who is UNCOMMITTED and fearful that they have no shot, ANYONE who appreciates an awesome journey. Let's get it going with this great feature on Joe Miceli.

My guest today is Debra Beal. Debra was one of the women featured in Lisa Levart's photography exhibit “Women of the Ramapough Lenape Nation”. Debra shares her own assimilation experience of how her parents initially downplayed their Native American culture when she was a child, only to pursue and embrace a relationship with her Lenape tribe when she was a young teenager. As her father's bumper sticker read “I was Indian before it was cool to be Indian”. Debra has recently retired from her 33 year career in NY State's Office of Mental Health and is exploring the ongoing delicate balance to integrate the fullness of who she truly is.  Her Indian name “Walela” translates as Hummingbird, which symbolizes Debra's desire to create harmony in the world, by building genuine, compassionate relationships, helping people and being a conduit for healing. Check out the show notes for links to see Debra featured in Lisa's photography exhibit at Bergen Community College, opened through November 24th, as well as in Myles Aronowitz's documentary. From the invitation of a wonderful shaman, Reda Rackley, I looked up the Native People of the land where I live. How wonderful to know the name Lenni Lenape, the peace-keeping “ancient ones”, the diplomats and mediators, who lived throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and southern New York. I highly recommend photographer, Lisa Levart's stunning exhibit at Bergen Community College, called “Women of the Ramapough Lenape Nation”. I am deeply moved by what Lisa created: a visual, visceral, soulful way to be in the presence of these inspiring Lenape people. Lisa's portraits and her husband Myles Aronowitz's video footage capturing Lisa in her creative process with the Lenape women is exquisite! Called the “implant maintenance guru” by A Tale of Two Hygienists' own Michelle Strange, Melissa also teaches as a clinical adjunct professor at her own alma mater of Bergen Community College in NJ.   In this episode, Melissa breaks down both the broad strokes and the nuances of treating implants, impresses the importance of disclosure when discussing implants with your patients, and explains why the learning process is still ongoing well into one's career.     EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:   Interview starts: 16:22   - How hygiene school turned Melissa from the “worst student” into one of the most enthusiastic students.   - Why treating implants is a “whole new ballgame” compared to treating natural teeth.   - The reason implant dentistry demands further (and constant) learning.   - Getting into the nitty gritty of working with implants as a dentist or hygienist.   - Melissa lays out the short- and long-term rewards of investing in the latest technology for the best possible implant care—and what you can do and say to convince your dentist.   - What can patients inspect from your average implant inspection?   - Melissa discusses how the Dental Implants Uncovered Facebook page came to be and what you can get out of it.       QUOTES:   “We see the implant patient from the surgical to the restorative.”   “These people have made a giant investment in improving their oral health.”   “It is expensive technology, but it's amazing technology and there's a reason why the price point is where it's at.”   “They went the distance; I need to go the distance for them.”   “If you don't take action on the knowledge, then what is the knowledge for?”   LINKS:   Melissa's homepage - https://melissaobrotka.com/   Melissa's email: melissaaobrotka@gmail.com  Introduction to the Implant Care Practitioner Course - https://www.facialartdentalforum.com/product/introduction-to-implant-care-practitioner-course/   EMS Dental - https://www.ems-dental.com/en   THIS EPISODE COUNTS FOR CE! - but read the disclaimer below as it might not count for your state. Called the “implant maintenance guru” by A Tale of Two Hygienists’ own Michelle Strange, Melissa also teaches as a clinical adjunct professor at her own alma mater of Bergen Community College in NJ.   In this episode, Melissa breaks down both the broad strokes and the nuances of treating implants, impresses the importance of disclosure when discussing implants with your patients, and explains why the learning process is still ongoing well into one’s career. QUOTES:   “We see the implant patient from the surgical to the restorative.”   “These people have made a giant investment in improving their oral health.”   “It is expensive technology, but it’s amazing technology and there’s a reason why the price point is where it’s at.”   “They went the distance; I need to go the distance for them.”   “If you don’t take action on the knowledge, then what is the knowledge for?”   LINKS:   Melissa’s homepage - https://melissaobrotka.com/   Melissa’s email: melissaaobrotka@gmail.com  Introduction to the Implant Care Practitioner Course - https://www.facialartdentalforum.com/product/introduction-to-implant-care-practitioner-course/   EMS Dental - https://www.ems-dental.com/en   THIS EPISODE COUNTS FOR CE! - but read the disclaimer below as it might not count for your state. Who is Nachum? Nachum is originally from Passaic New Jersey and is not living with his family in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel. After dropping out of high school and enrolling himself in Bergen Community College and eventually found his way to Israel. Upon returning to the states, Nachum started a promotional products company. After Nachum's first high tech company failed, and they witnessed the tragedy of 9/11/01, Nachum moved his family to Israel where he ran several businesses that eventually led him into the world of podcasting, writing and business consulting.   Business Opportunity Identified :) As the podcast and book started gaining popularity, the requests on Nachum's time started increasing as well. It became tacky when friends would ask for his time (for free of course) and he'd have to explain that he now charged $200/hr for his time (still a great deal). This became even more frustrating with all the emails back and forth trying to nail down a time that worked for both Nachum and the paying client. There had to be a better way to do this. When Nachum received another request complaint from a massage therapist experiencing similar challenges, he new there was a real need for a solution. She complained that she was looking for a really simple site. She only wanted to list her basic packages, their prices and simple way to reserve a slot and pay.   The Solution Hence, BookLikeABoss was born. Nachum found a friend who was a programmer Dovid Yudkowitz and was later joined by the 3rd partner Lloyd Schroeder. To date, the company has over 9,000 users in over 50 countries and continues to grow.

Kathy studied Seimei in the USA and Japan for several years. She recently returned from her 10th trip to Saga, Japan to study at the main headquarters. Kathy is the Foundation Director for the Seimei Foundation located in Hawthorne, NJ. She has "worked on" thousands of people over the years with amazing results. When Kathy found Seimei, she was suffering from an undiagnosed illness that left her bedridden. She was very weak, tired, and unable to use her arms because they were very heavy and weak. Kathy was also unable to keep her head up. She had been to orthopedists, neurologists, general practitioners, etc. and no one knew what was wrong. Kathy quit her job and went to bed! 6 months later feeling no better, a friend suggested that she try try Seimei. Kathy was reluctant because she was sure she had tried it all. Since Kathy studied and practiced Reiki, Massage, Classical homeopathy and had many friends who were "healers", she was sure nothing was going to help her. But then a friend onvinced her to give Seimei a try. Two weeks later Kathy began weekly Seimei sessions and her health began to improve in all areas. Kathy volunteers her time taking away stress & pain from participants at the Avon Cancer walk, AIDS walks, Eva's Village in Paterson on the staff and residents, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Also on students at William Paterson University, Montclair University and Bergen Community College. She did Seimei at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC for the staff. Kathy always demonstrates Seimei for free to anyone interested.
