On this episode of Christopher Lochhead: Follow Your Different, we interview a seasoned law enforcement officer and congressional candidate, Tim Alexander. Tim Alexander shares his inspiring journey from a challenging childhood to a distinguished career in law enforcement, driven by a pivotal encounter with police misconduct and his grandfather's wise advice. They discuss Tim's dedication to rewriting police policies, advocating for smarter funding and training, and his stance on gun control. Tim emphasizes his commitment to practical, moderate policies focused on public safety, affordability, and job creation, aiming to serve his community effectively. So if you want to hear his insights on law enforcement and his plans as a congressional representative, take a seat and let's dive right in. You're listening to Christopher Lochhead: Follow Your Different. We are the real dialogue podcast for people with a different mind. So get your mind in a different place, and hey ho, let's go. Tim Alexander's Journey: From Adversity to Advocacy Tim's story is one of resilience and determination. Growing up in a poor family, he worked hard to support himself and his family. His journey took a significant turn when he decided to pursue higher education, despite financial constraints. This decision led him to an unexpected path in law enforcement, driven by a pivotal encounter with police misconduct. Tim credits his grandfather, Doc Plummer, for inspiring him to pursue a career in law enforcement and make a difference from within. His grandfather's advice to become a police officer to effect change from the inside was a turning point in Tim's life. Rewriting Police Policies: Smarter Funding and Training One of the key themes they discussed was the true cost of policing. Tim emphasized that the cost of bringing a new officer on board goes beyond their starting salary. It includes training, equipment, and other expenses that are often overlooked. Tim highlighted the importance of having mental health response teams to handle non-violent mental health calls. He emphasized that police officers are not always the best-equipped to handle such situations and that having trained professionals can lead to better outcomes. Tim Alexander on Gun Control: A Balanced Approach Tim's stance on gun control is balanced and pragmatic. He supports the Second Amendment and the right to own guns but advocates for sensible gun laws, particularly regarding assault weapons. He emphasizes that these weapons are designed for war and have no place on the streets of America. Tim also discussed the role of law enforcement in advocating for sensible gun laws. He expressed frustration that police associations do not take a stronger stance against assault weapons, despite the dangers they pose to officers. To hear more from Tim Alexander and what he has done for law enforcement and his plans in the future, download and listen to this episode. Bio Tim Alexander, a New Jersey native, has dedicated his life to public service. After experiencing racial profiling, he pursued a 27-year career in law enforcement, rising to Detective Captain at the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. Motivated by a commitment to community trust and safety, he earned a B.S. and M.B.A. from Drexel University and a J.D. from Rutgers University. Transitioning to law, Tim worked as a Major Trials Prosecutor and in the Civil Rights Unit in Philadelphia. Now in private practice, he focuses on Civil Rights and Employment Discrimination law. Tim is a lifelong Democrat, committed to serving his community. For more information, visit Tim Alexander for Congress. This week's guest is Gunnar Olsen. Gunnar's been on the show a lot recently with "save it for the pod" segments. But I noticed his Big Fat Five episode is almost 4 years old, which is a shame. Recently, I went to the Hollywood Bowl with my friends Mike Robinson and Neal Daniels, both show alumni, to see Gunnar play with Puscifer on the Sessanta tour, celebrating Maynard James Keenan's 60th birthday. It was mind-blowing. Gunnar is an incredible drummer, one of the best out there. At this show, Josh Freese was playing with A Perfect Circle, but now that Josh is busy with Foo Fighters gigs, Gunnar is playing with both Puscifer and A Perfect Circle for the rest of the tour. It's unbelievable and well-deserved. Puscifer is a perfect fit for Gunnar. Apart from this tour, Gunnar has also recorded or toured with Big Data, Bruce Springsteen, Miley Cyrus, HOKO, Mother Feather, Fischerspooner, Goo Goo Dolls, and many others. He's possibly my favorite drummer, and I admire him a lot. He's a close friend, and I always try to catch his shows when we're in the same town. Although this conversation is from 4 years ago, I wanted to bring it back up because the information is still relevant. It's fascinating to hear Gunnar talk about Tim Alexander of Primus, who has been a big influence on him, and now see them hanging out on tour together, seeming like best buds. Anyway, Gunnar, I'm really proud of you, and I admire your career more than you know, even though I tell you all the time. I hope you enjoy the records that helped shape Gunnar Olsen into the drummer he is today. Cheers! Tim Alexander denkt Marketing radikal neu.

Tim Alexander has interacted with thousands of people whose lives have been ruined by legal drugs. The above is a rare interview with him. Tim is a documentary filmmaker whose marriage ceremony to his wonderful wife Karen Alexandar (his co-producer on the project) was conducted by Cedric Anderson. Shortly after this wedding, pastor Anderson himself married Tim's cousin, Karen Smith, pictured below.  But Anderson became erratic, paranoid, and delusional. No one knew that he was taking SSRI (Prozac class) antidepressants, not even his mother. Karen Smith moved out after only 6 weeks because of his bizarre behavior.  A month later, Cedric Anderson entered the elementary school where his wife taught and shot and killed her, a student, and then himself. This was a major media story nationwide for two months, and Anderson was dubbed the San Bernadino shooter. No mention of the medications he was taking was seen anywhere in the media.  Tim kept asking himself how such an impossible event could have happened to people he knew and loved. Since Tim's career as a documentary filmmaker is partly detective work, research is natural for him. So he formed a Facebook group called “Legal Death - In Drugs We Trust” that sought to address the topic of drug side effects. It grew to 30,000 people within a few months. There were soon up to 3500 posts a day, and he read every one. He learned that suicide and violent behavior were well-established side effects of SSRI antidepressants, and he learned many other things.  He then made a post requesting interviews from people on his page who had related experiences, and he and his wife Karen were soon on a two-month 16,500-mile road trip across America and Canada. Many of the people he interviewed were bed-bound and neurologically damaged for life, and their stories were horrific.  The result of Tim's bold effort was a full-length feature film about the toxicity of prescription drugs. Tim found that many drugs that were previously considered harmless were quite damaging. He developed new theories about the relationship between fluoroquinolone antibiotics (such as Cipro) and gadolinium contrast dye. Although they are both toxic individually, when used together they can be devastating. After completion, Tim's challenge has been to get distribution in a Pharma-controlled media environment. He has not yet found a way to release his project and would find it best to buy his investors out so he can release it to the public on smaller online platforms that will accept it. To free the film, he needs to raise about $200,000. If you have ideas about how he might accomplish this, Tim can be contacted to screen the film for you. His direct email is timacs@me.com. Though Tim Alexander is not a physician, he is a top, if not the top authority on prescription medication side effects and the damages they cause. Through his numerous in-person interviews and many years of Facebook moderation on his Legal Death page, he has captured more up-to-date information from severely medication-damaged people than anyone else on the planet.
