This week in The Labia Lounge I'm re-releasing a favourite episode from the archives with Bonnie Bliss, my teacher, mentor, dear friend, and THE creator of Yoni Mapping Therapy - The Bliss Method! She's kinda a big deal, yo!We didn't talk about the expected Yoni-related shiz though, oh nooo, we got stuck into some pretty polarising and controversial topics. Namely, the peer pressure, judgement, shaming, and utter wankiness that can be found in the "conscious community" and some of our personal experiences being part of the sacred sexuality/tantra scene in spiritual communities over the years. We shed light on some of the irresponsible and downright traumatising stuff that can go on in those spaces, tell some hilarious and fascinating stories from our own journeys, and discuss how after all of that, we've reclaimed our inner VANILLA!This isn't a spiritual-bashing episode at all, simply a quirky, honest, and thought-provoking conversation about some of the benefits, as well as some of the pitfalls, that one can encounter on a spiritual path and in neo-tantric, westernized pseudo-spiritual circles. Cos both of us have gone pretty deep in those at times throughout our lives!Enjoy this one - it's JUICY!!! Plus you can expect all the usual antics and hilarious, vulnerable n' relatable personal stories and signature segments that you've come to know and love here in The Labia Lounge!Make sure you're subscribed for more LL action, and it'd absolutely warm my heart and tickle my clit if you'd leave a gushing review or five star rating for the poddy!*** Join my Labia Lounge Facebook group for extra content, Q & As, freebies from my guests, discounts and to be part of a rad and supportive community of labial legends! www.facebook.com/groups/thelabialounge/Grab a P*ssy Magnet and check out the new Labia Lounge MERCH over here (there's even fanny packs if the standard tote bags and tees ain't cuttin' it for ya!): https://www.freyagraf.com/productsonline-trainingsAnd chuck me a follow here: https://www.instagram.com/freyagraf_thelabialounge/AND here: (my backup account cos I keep offending the Algorithms-that-be) https://www.instagram.com/freya.graf/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@freyagraf?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pcAnd on my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/LtyN8BQg-zkOr support me and the poddy by buying me an extra hot soy chai latte (yes, that is my coffee order cos I'm a bit of a tosser like that) here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/freyagrafMore on Bonnie:Passionate about using embodied practices to support our nervous systems, let go of stress, release shame and feel more deliciously alive in all areas of life, Bonnie Bliss is a Somatic Sexologist, pleasure educator & women's pelvic wellness coach. After years of internal numbness, Bonnie took herself on a journey of discovering the magic of her yoni. This journey has led her to be of service to many women worldwide. Bonnie is an intimacy educator, somatic sexologist, bliss seeker, speaker & writer. She is also the founder of a women’s pelvic wellness modality, called 'Yoni Mapping Therapy'. If you are not familiar with the term yoni, it is the Indian word for vagina. Bonnie is a woman who is obsessed with the power of pleasure and inspired to teach other women how they can connect to their pleasure potential. An expert in the field of women’s pelvic bodywork, Bonnie has been featured in the US Sexual Health Magazine, Australian Yoga Journal, Elephant Journal and other publications as well as summits.Bonnie developed ‘The Bliss Method’, a six month intensive training in her method of Yoni Mapping Therapy, so she has a number of amazing women from all over the world who are fully certified Yoni Mapping Therapists! How cool is that! Bonnie shares why its so important for women to connect to their pleasure and finding this in your every day life AND it doesn’t have to be sexual. She teaches women to finding pleasure through the simplicity of life - being conscious to how you move through life and connect to yourself, which then leads to the connection to your sexual pleasure. We cover a lot in this interview, so much valuable advice and Bonnie also recommends the best pleasure toys for women and why. I loved hearing her view about the yoni and vagus nerve connection. The vagus nerve runs the whole length of our spine and ends in the cervix so it plays a key role in the experiencing of pleasure. She talks about how consciously connecting to our vagina, women begin to honour their body and able to set clear body-boundaries - this is such reminder for women who have difficulty using their voice or speaking their truth. Bonnie Bliss likes to call herself “your vagina’s fairy godmother.” Bonnie is the mind behind Yoni Mapping Therapy (the Bliss Method), a practice similar to yoni massage that helps women develop a fuller understanding of their bodies, connect to their yonis, and find new and unique sources of pleasure that they never knew were possible. She has been doing this extraordinary work for nine years, has trained a large group of Bliss Method practitioners who are now working throughout Australia and Europe, and has recently launched a seven-week, online course called The Yoni Club. Join us for an educational conversation about the anatomy of pleasure, the microtraumas that disconnect us from our bodies, and the changes that come when we understand our yonis and are free to experience pleasure in all its forms. “Pleasure exists all around us all the time.” Unfortunately, we aren’t properly taught about pleasure. Sex ed involves putting a condom on a banana, and for many of us, there were no real examples of sexuality to learn from-- most of our parents were not open about their sexual views, porn gave us unrealistic expectations, and society told us that self-pleasure was shameful. Bonnie’s work helps women free themselves from shame and view pleasure not as a goal to achieve, but as an intricate, complex experience. In this episode, Bonnie teaches us about the different parts of our pelvic areas and the pleasure these spots can bring. She also gives us tips for reconnecting to our yonis in small, gentle ways throughout our daily lives. P. S.
