This week on The Free Cheese, Marc's got some 'splainin to do. We're throwing it back to the days long ago with a long podcast and a lot of voices. First, we hear about the addiction of Destiny 2 from Marc and our guest Joe. Matt talks all about the end to Danganronpa without spoilers and really likes how Uncharted Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is. Ben thought he was done with Fallout: New Vegas DLC until he wasn't. We also hear about Marc and Matt's first tastes of NieR: Automata and a bit of thought on Mario + Rabbids from two different Joes. Then, it's a lot of Metroid: Samus Returns as we celebrate the return to one of our favorite franchises. Naughty Dog loses a longtime employee, Nintendo doesn't want you to buy from scalpers, and a whole lot of games are on the way to 3DS and Switch. Get ready. Metallica. High five.
Gary Butterfield and Kole Ross expound upon the many expansions for Fallout: New Vegas. Here, in part three, we visit Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road, the four expansions released for Fallout: New Vegas in the year after the main game dropped. They're varied and diverse, but they contribute to a single overarching story in a way that most DLC packs just don't, really. Sorry for the late episode, (recorded 7/10/12), but its the summer, and vacations happen! Tons of Fallout: New Vegas DLC was on sale (you've played that, right?), but the biggest news was the new Android powered console, Ouya, which has seen amazing success on Kickstarter. Or maybe it was the announcement of Greenlight, a new service on Steam where fans can vote to have their favorite developers or games appear or the service. Holy crap, we're still allowed to post these? Well, I'm not complaining, and neither are you, apparently. Our listeners demanded more, and we delivered (a little too much since this is actually the second podcast posted this week). Don't get confused with our Gamescom podcast that was posted earlier this week, this is a brand-spanking new dose of the PSU force in full... farce? In this episode we're joined by Mike, our Managing Editor from the U.K. along with the usual crew, Adam (Executive Editor), Matt (he's just Australian), and Don (writer/editor, platinum). Mike and Don go on a love boat together talking about some of the best (and worst) from the survival horror genre, Matt let's us know how sleepy he gets playing Fallout New Vegas DLC, and Adam gives us the heads up on Deus Ex: Human Revolution. All that and much more in this week's Derailed. Got any questions/comments you want read on the show?
