Today Dr. Johnny Lupinacci and Dr. Tim Slekar discuss an interesting development in education as the Supreme Court is set to rule on whether or not religious charter schools can receive public funding. What truly makes a public school? Is it an elected schoolboard, direct state funding, or something else? Can a religious organization provide a secular education? And how can we make sure that public tax dollars are used to serve the public good rather than to prop up any one particular religious ideology? Find the answers to these questions and more as we wade into unchartered waters on THIS episode of BUSTED PENCILS. Producer Jakob had a wild weekend. Jupiter (Wise One) in Gemini squares Saturn (Responsible One) in Pisces for the second time in its current 10-month cycle that started last August. Continue to reassess your key life directions and structures that you initiated around four years ago. Notice the inner and outer feedback you've been receiving about what to keep doing or being. Mercury (Communicator) in Sagittarius opposes Jupiter and squares Saturn supporting you to challenge narratives of complacency and criticism. Open to the bigger picture. Venus (Relational One) in Aquarius squares Uranus (Maverick) in Taurus catalyzing more spaciousness and freedom in your relationships. You be you and let everyone else be them. Chiron (Healer-Shapeshifter) goes forward in Aries after five months of being retrograde. Courageously move forward in your life from a place of deep self-acceptance.Podcast poem: "Threshold" by Mark Coleman Support the showUse Sheila's referral code to shop for astrology books and gifts at Chani: https://bit.ly/4a3AfqMGo to Sheila's website for information on workshops, online courses and to subscribe to her weekly newsletter: https://www.ontheedgesofchange.comFollow Sheila: https://www.instagram.com/ontheedgesofchange https://www.pinterest.com/ontheedgesofchange

How will Israel retaliate to the Iranian missile attack? The events over the past few weeks have shown that the rules of the conflict have changed and trying to war game out the conflict is risky. Dr. Daniel Sobelman, assistant professor of international relations at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an expert on Iran's Axis of Resistance, told reporter Arieh O'Sullivan that existential thoughts and mindset have brought us to unchartered waters. He said a growing sentiment prior to October 7 was that people started believing in the end of Israel in their lifetime and Israel's actions needed to be aimed at quashing this. When Steve Jamison was growing up, he got the adventure of a lifetime out at sea with his dad, a commercial fisherman. The lessons he learned as a member of a halibut fishing crew in Alaska would stick with him throughout his life, and it's that perseverance, dedication, and determination that led Steve to become a pastor. Quotes “My dad would always take me into his state room where you would see the charts, and he would always remind me that we're going to sea because this is how God provides for our family. It's a very dangerous profession, and he would say, ‘Let's just reach up here and put our hands on this chart where we're going to go and ask God to watch over us. Let's ask God to provide for our family and let's ask God to bring us home safe.'” - Steve Jamison “Being able to have that opportunity to grow up out on the ocean in the situations of life, [my dad] just gave me a living example of what the Word was all about, and I will never forget it.” - Steve Jamison “[God] had just called me to be faithful. He had just called me to trust Him and to redirect my path and follow what He had for me. And the truth is, God had so much more than I could have imagined.” - Steve Jamison “When it's difficult, when it's painful, when you want to quit, you just say, ‘Lord, I just need you to help me through this.' With God's help, you can press through and you can see amazing miracles and amazing blessings in your life.” - Steve Jamison “God put His hand upon my life, and yet, I was a lot like Jonah for a period of time. I just wanted to go the opposite direction. I can tell you myself, like Jonah, our plans are nothing compared to how great the plans are that God has for us.” - Steve Jamison Guest's Links Steve Jamison's website Steve Jamison's Instagram Steve Jamison's Twitter Resources Mentioned in This Episode Eastridge Church The Most Valuable Catch by Steve Jamison Connect with Sally Lloyd-Jones Jesus Storybook Bible Facebook Jesus Storybook Bible Instagram Sally's website Sally's Facebook Sally's Instagram *Episode produced by Four Eyes Media*

We have started a new year and it can be daunting. None of us can tell what the future holds or what trials it will bring. However, God has promised never to leave nor forsake us. He says to us in Is. 43:2" when we pass through the waters, He will be with us; and through the rivers, they will not overflow us, when we walk through the fire, we will not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon us" So what do we need to do? We just need to place our hands and our plans into his hands. Evangelist H. Staple-Reid --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hyacinth-reid/message
In today's study, we talk about what you can expect from our Friday editions in the coming year. Even though we plan to continue in the vein of idolatry again today, this episode will be very different. As a matter of fact, we will be dealing with a lot of different stuff over the next couple of months. We will be going into what is nearly unchartered territory. We are just beginning to expose some of the deepest mysteries found within scripture, and it will get interesting. We began with a discussion on how idolatry starts, and it must begin with a low view of Jesus Christ. We ended up talking about ‘sons of God' and ‘morning stars' and what they are. If you want to stretch your mind, this is just the thing for you!Come on, give this a listen today!

The title here does not lie - out of a life time of conversations, Gary is the most interesting person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was raised in the United Kingdom, where as a young man he joined the Royal Navy. He soon after entered the SBS (Special Boat Service) where he died twice, went on hundreds of deployments, and travelled all across the world. After nearly two decades in the military, he took his skills to television production, working with shows like Top Gear and even hosting his own National Geographic series for a period of time. Gary ran security for celebrities like Beyonce and travelled with Anthony Bourdain, but also lost it all at one point and found himself working for a lawn care company. Now having spent almost 18 years in the production industry, he most recently has been traveling the world with Gordon Ramsey shooting his series "Unchartered". In this episode Gary shares stories from all of his adventures while offering advice for other people on how they can lead a life of excitement, fulfillment, and enjoyment. We have a three-part episode today to end the week. First, Dave Kranzler of Investment Research Dynamics and the Mining Stock Journal joins us to talk big picture of this week's market moves. The markets appear to be far ahead of the Fed's more hawkish dynamics of its policy this week. Hot money and call options perked their heads around once again while hotter than expected CPI and PPI numbers appeared to be of concern. Dave also provides some thoughts on what this "unknown land" means for precious metals and junior equities. We then turn to Chad Peters of Ridgeline Minerals to talk expectations of exploration strategies in Nevada. Knowing the jurisdiction well, Chad knows that a positive strategy for a company is not always in line with expectations of speculators. Finally, Garrett Ainsworth of District Metals discusses uranium exploration and what resource speculators need to know about exploring for and developing uranium deposits. The original interview with Garrett Ainsworth was aired on "Gong Nuclear with Justin Huhn and Trevor Hall". That full episode can be found HERE. We'd like to thank our sponsors: Western Copper and Gold is focused on developing the world-class Casino project in Canada's Yukon Territory. The Casino project consists of an impressive 11 billion pounds of copper and 21 million ounces of gold in an overall resource. ASCU is an early-stage copper developer and explorer of the Cactus Mine and its satellite project, Parks/Salyer, both situated on a 4km mine trend on private land in Arizona's porphyry copper district.
