Could this be the moment to fight for better wages and benefits? Join Mark Gevaart of My Labor Radio to talk about the possibilities that union organizing present to address the real reason Hoosiers are not taking jobs at fast food restaurants.
My Labor Radio is hosted by Mark Gevaart, and is broadcast on WELT 95.7 FM in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Labor Radio interviews working people and reviews data and information essential to working families. In the words of Labor Leader Walter Reuther “There's a direct relationship between the ballot box and the bread box, and what the union fights for and wins at the bargaining table can be taken away in the legislative halls.” Mark joined the United Auto Workers (UAW) early in his working life. He has spent the last 30 plus years as an advocate for working Americans in and outside of his own local. He understands the importance of having a voice in a workplace and the support of a labor agreement. Mark finds the idea of doing a Community Access Radio program about labor a rewarding experience. Involved in many organizing campaigns, contract negotiations, arbitration, the writing of contract language, and being on the picket line, Mark has a strong history of support for the American worker. About the Labor Radio Podcast Network Launched in April 2020, the Labor Radio Podcast Network focuses on working class issues that are often overlooked in the corporate-controlled media. Holy smokies, Goodrich Gevaart is back in the Palace of Sin for another installment of Happy Hour Sam'mich Time. We had so much fun on last week's episode that I convinced Goody to keep the party going!! Hey... you party? That's good cause you're in the right place. Today we listen to the self titled, 1973 debut release from Betty Davis, which gets tings turned up real quick. I love this album and I think you will too. We're already kind of pervs, but that beacon of sexual empowerment really turns our cranks up to 11, if you catch my drift. Do I need to spell it out for you? Look, we get horny, okay? You have heard this show before right? No? Well, what a great place to start! Go ahead and subscribe, give the show a good rating on itunes and tell your friends. Thanks for that, I appreciate it. Now we can just focus on the horniness of it all. Jam Sandwiches can also be found at: jamsandwichpodcast.com || manontop69.com || Twitter: @jamsandwichpod || Instagram: @jamsandwichpodcast
Friend of the show Goodrich Gevaart returns to jam yer airwaves once again on this episode of THE 'WICH. We were supposed to focus on glam rock, but instead we both ended up grazing in the grass too long and Goody's inner chav came out. Then that chav wouldn't go away. This episode might as well be called CHAV TALK, which makes for a great knuckle tattoo now that I think about it. Anyhoo, we listen to mega creep Gary Glitter and the always bad ass Suzi Quatro. Slade sneaks a song in cause those dudes are sneaky buggers. Sweet little Ricky Wilde shows us how teenagers do it too. If nothing else, you get to hear two close friends reconnect after not seeing each other for several months and if this show is about anything, it's FRIENDSHIP. And dirty sex stuff. Holy fkcinug siht, today's Jam Sandwich is gonna take you sweet babies straight to the top! For numero duece duece we're bringing y'all our first ever split episode. A real twofer Tuesday, if you will. Up first, friend of the show Goodrich Gevaart returns after having relocated to sunny Los Angeles and he brings with him a smattering of his favorite LA punk classics. We start to have a real intimate moment until super producer Dan steps in and essentially takes a dump in my mouth. Up next, we welcome to the show Boston Hardcore LEGEND Tommy Crowbar of the band Street Justice. We hear about Tommy's bucket list of murder and the merits of throwing a boot party. We also listen to the Gorilla Biscuits self titled 7" because it rules. You're gonna like the way this episode makes you feel, I guarantee it. For another serving of jam sammies dig through the digital crate that is our back catalog, subscribe and like us on facebook, even though its worse than anything found on the dark web. Warning: This show contains super naughty ideas and listening almost 100% assures your eternal damnation in the fiery pits of hell.
The guest so nice I've already booked him thrice: Goodrich Gevaart is back on once again! We pick up where JS002 left off and finally get around to jamming on some Diamond Dave era Van Halen. Over two classic albums we discuss a bunch of really bizarre facts about the band that you may or may not already know. Hell, maybe we don't even know what we're saying. Who cares? All you really need to know is Van Halen kicks ass and rock n' roll will never die. Fuck yo' brown M&M's!
When we finished recording this episode the very first thing producer Dan said to me was "That's either the best thing you've ever done or the worst." Listen to Goodrich Gevaart and I explore some of reggae's finest and judge for yourself. Jah bless us, everyone.
Today I'm joined by one of my best friends in the whole wide world, comedian Goodrich Gevaart! I led him in under the assumption that we'd be listening to Van Halen, but then I gave him thee ole' LTJ switcheroo! We talk 90s ska and the wild ass, limited edition promotional items that came outta the scene. Get loose, throw on some checkerboard suspenders and prepare to skank! For extra goodies, like Jam Sandwich on Facebook! To see our beautiful mugs, check out our web series, the Record Ranch, by clicking here!
