Straight to VHS: The Chris and Carson Show

They got it right this year!! That’s right, Chris, Carson, and Kyle are here to breakdown what they liked and what they loved about the 2020 Academy Awards. They all very much loved Parasite. Carson is kind of a downer and laments about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but besides that they all have a good time. Did anyone see Judy? Did Kyle hit his hedge? Does this show, much like the Oscars, need a host? This, and much more, on this week’s episode of Straight to VHS.

Fall is here (not that you can tell by the weather) and the award-bait movies are coming. The first is "Judy" starring Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland in the waning days of her career. She's getting Oscar buzz for this one and we'll let you know what we think. Then there's "The Day Shall Come," a dark comedy about terrorists and the FBI featuring Anna Kendrick, Dennis O'Hare and Jim Gaffigan. We also look back at last Sunday's Emmy Awards broadcast which broke a record - but not the good kind. Just like the Oscars this year it had no host. Did it work as well? Neil looks at Ken Burns' PBS documentary on Country Music and Bill McCuddy tells us about "Anna" from famed action director Luc Besson. The leaves haven't started falling yet so you have no excuse - listen in!

I've never seen that movie, but only know it as a pop-culture reference.  This episode of Jonah Raydio Hostless FM features a live broadcast from Downton Stabby, aka Castle Neilskull, aka protective enclosure over his expensive carpet that him and his mom went halvsies on.
