Jessica Lane Chambers was born to Ben Allen Chambers Sr. and Lisa Lynn Daugherty on February 2nd, 1995 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Jessica was their second child as they already had a son named Ben Jr. The two divorced and Jessica's father spent some time in prison and eventually was released starting a new life as a mechanic. However, her relationship with her mother was troubled so she moved in with her father creating a better relationship between Jessica and her mother. On occasion she would stay at her mother's house as she did on December 6th, 2014. Jessica took a nap at her mother's house and after waking up to a phone call and a short conversation she told her mother she was getting gas which would have taken her 10-15 minutes and that she would be back, but hours passed with no sign of Jessica until a couple calls 911 due a car fire and everything changes.

When the first responders pulled up to the vehicle at exactly 8:09 PM, they came upon something horrific. Nineteen-year-old Jessica Chambers emerged from the woods, on fire, with nearly her entire body burned through to the muscle. While Jessica would later die that night and into the morning from the extent of her injuries, there was one broken whisper she managed to get out to the first responders that set this case in motion, "He set me on fire." Doctors quickly learned from examining her that Jessica had been force-fed gasoline down her throat and a flame lit inside her mouth for no known reason. Following her death, the hunt was on to uncover her killer and bring justice to her case, and what they would find through phone records and nearby camera footage was chilling. On December 6, 2014, a car was found in flames on the side of the road in Courtland, Mississippi. When firefighters arrive, they see a young girl walking towards them, half naked and on fire! They soon determine this is 19-year-old, Jessica Chambers. Luckily, Jessica lived long enough to"name her killer", or did she?? This was a reasonable doubt that left a jury deadlocked when trying to convict her alleged killer, Quinton Tellis, who is currently in jail for another murder. Hello there Twisted Listeners! This week is really, really brutal, because we are covering the topic of people who were burned to death. Diva chose this terrible topic and boy is it a rough one! Perhaps the worst reality of this topic is how many of the victims are women, and specifically, young women. In fact, every case we cover this week involved a young woman, and it's definitely thought provoking, to say the least. So join us on this absolutely crazy journey, and definitely stay off this list in particular.Check out our website! www.twistedlisterspod.comBrought to you by Podmoth Media Network podmoth.networkJoin us on Patreon: www.patreon.com/twistedlistersFollow us on Instagram: @twistedlisterspcastTiktok: @twistedlistersCases Covered:1. This week's continuation of season 2 of the podcast has Merie & Becky heading down the long, terrifying, and confusing crime story of the murder of Jessica Chambers. Along the way, they address the burning questions you didn't know you had, like: How does Merie start a turf war with Mississippi gangs over copyright infringement? Do you want to apply to her super-exclusive wine club, the Sip Mob? Remember when your pod-coasts used to be good at, you know, podcasting? (Us, either!) Should you learn how to surf after the age of…40? (Hint: NO!!!) Did Becky go to Cambridge or not (and how could anyone possibly know that?)?! Can you be in a small town in Mississippi and NOT be in a drug gang? (Probably not!) Would Becky convict you for murdering someone because of pimento cheese? (Never!
