  «Por lo tanto, busquen primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas les serán añadidas» (Mateo 6:33) Siempre que Kenneth y yo hablamos de vivir por fe, sé que hay personas que piensan: "Eso es fácil para ustedes, porque son predicadores y han tenido éxito". En cierto modo es verdad que hemos tenido éxito, pero ha sido así porque nuestro llamado exige que le pongamos atención a Dios, y ponerle atención a Él siempre produce éxito. Pero no siempre hemos vivido de esa manera. Es más, la primera vez que vi a Kenneth Copeland en persona, lucía lo más lejano a un predicador que alguien pudiera ser. Era piloto de aviones y cantaba en clubes nocturnos. En cuanto a mí, era una estudiante universitaria que no sabía nada del nuevo nacimiento y que había dicho que jamás me casaría con algún predicador. Poco después de casarnos, Kenneth inició un negocio que pensamos que nos haría ricos. Dejé mi trabajo y me fui a trabajar para esa nueva compañía. Dos semanas más tarde, el negocio fracasó. Decía que Dios tenía cuidado de las aves. Por primera vez en mi vida entendí en mi corazón que Dios se interesaba por mí. Me imaginé que si Él cuidaba de las aves, ¡ciertamente cuidaría de mí! Me arrodillé en aquella habitación casi vacía y le dije a Jesús que si Él podía hacer algo con mi vida, yo se la entregaba. Eso es todo lo que recuerdo haber dicho. No sabía que acababa de nacer de nuevo. Dos semanas después, Kenneth encontró un trabajo. Nos mudamos a un apartamento amueblado y compramos un mejor automóvil. En medio de todo eso, sucedió algo más: Kenneth también nació de nuevo. No te preocupes si "no has tenido éxito". Por supuesto que nosotros no lo tuvimos al principio. Sigue caminando con Dios y deja que Él te dé la victoria. Él es un Dios bueno para con todos (Salmos 145:9).
