Hello beautiful people On today's podcast we have the beautiful soul, Mike Hamill. Mike is the director and lead guide of Climbing the Seven Summits. Mike is a 6-times Everest Summiteer, world-class mountain guide having guided over 120 major international high altitude climbing expeditions, has climbed all of the Seven Summits, the tallest mountains on each continent at least 6 times, some as many as 25 times, and so much more. He is the Founder and President of the Tiger of the Snows Fund, which is a not-for-profit that provides grants to further education of mountain tourism workers and their families.  He is also an active marathoner, ultramarathoner, ironman, skier, cyclist, climber, traveler and fly fisherman. WWhat I personally love about this conversation is Mike's clear passion for the self-exploratory journey not only in the mountains, but in life, this drive for living life out of the comfort zone, to get out there and truly experience the majestic offerings; to live and to learn. He genuinely cares about the clients journey to success, has a strong sense of contribution and places deep value on the importance of cultural relationships. As a side note here, myself and a few other ladies are booked to trek Everest Base Camp with Mike's Climbing Seven Summits in April 2022. Now, the world is full of surprises and uncertainty, and I'm not sure, pending pandemic, whether this will be possible, it may be rescheduled for April 2023, we shall see. But I did want to share that I am Mindset Coaching these lovely ladies in preparation and during the trek, and if any one of you is interested in trekking Everest Base Camp and Mindset Coaching, or either or, certainly reach out and connect. I am in full reverence for the many adventures I have had over my life, having travelled to almost 50 countries and been quite the self-exploratory enthusiast, I have found myself on the top of mountains, and in the depth of canyons, and can share with certainty, these sorts of adventures are life changing; they are transformational, and it would be an honour, through these experiences, to guide you back to your true self, to live a life of presence, free of concern, worry and stress, and to be with you as you explore what you will create in this lifetime, the legacy you will leave; that you will contribute. If you are enjoying this podcast, please rate, review, I love your reviews, subscribe, become part of the To Be Human Collective, and settle in for this conversation with a true explorer, Mike Hamill.Connect with MeMindset Coaching | https://www.jennahlouise.com.auInstagram Personal | https://www.instagram.com/jennah_louiseConnect with MikeInstagram | https://www.instagram.com/climbingthesevensummits Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/ClimbingTheSevenSummits Website | http://climbingthesevensummits.com

I caught up with Everest Guide Mike Hamill owner of Climbing The Seven Summits (CTSS) live at EBC to discuss Base Camp luxuries for #Everest2021. CTSS was founded by Mike after years of serving as a lead guide for another major company. He has a loyal following of clients and has set long-term goals to be a significant player in the global mountaineering market. Mike's vision is to meet his client's needs and expectations and appears to be a leader, not a follower when it comes to base camp services. While some people may not understand this level of service at a place like Everest Base Camp, Mike feels it's entirely appropriate as he explains in the interview.

Mike Hamill, is the owner of Climbing The Seven Summits - a mountain guide company that leads expeditions on the biggest peaks in the world. Mike is internationally recognized as one of the top climbers / guides in the world, having completed the Seven Summits (the tallest peak on each continent) an astonishing 6 times. He literally wrote the book on climbing the Seven Summits and is quickly growing his young guide service (which he started after guiding for one of the biggest guide companies in the business for 15 years) into a recognized and respected brand in the guiding community. Mike discusses his passion for the mountains and for sharing them with his clients, setting BIG goals and not being afraid to "fail" along the way.

Mike Hamill - Climbing The Seven Summits Mike Hamill is the founder and lead guide for Climbing the Seven Summits. His company focuses on the 7 summits, and a few other select mountains that Mike finds special. Mike gets clients to the top over 90% of the time, more importantly, he always gets his clients home safe. Mike cut his teeth climbing in the White and Adirondack mountains of the northeast. On these climbs, Mike, built his resume, while finding his passion and calling. In the 90's when Mike first started collecting the 7 summits, he's completed the circuit 6 times since then, he realized nobody had created a comprehensive guidebook.  Mike got to work. His book "Climbing the Seven Summits" describes in detail how to put together a campaign to accomplish the goal. Mike downloaded his experiences into the book: the pictures, secrets, training climbs--everything.  Getting to the Top Hamill's success in getting clients to the top of mountains is founded in their preparation. He refuses to cash checks to simply guarantee access to the mountain. Aside--Over the years Hamill witnessed less professional guide companies take payment from climbers ill-prepared to take on Everest. Mike's decades of experience informs how he runs climbs. He knows when to make a call, denying a client a summit, yet saving their lives. Mike was on Everest in both 2014 and 2015 when the mountain claimed nearly 40 lives. Mike witnessed inexperienced teams and crews put people in jeopardy and at times lose clients, for the sake of a summit.  Rather he seeks climbers who build their summit resumes through progress, accumulating skills and experience rather than the ability to write a check. Transition to the Boss Now as the main guy at basecamp, Mike is the commander, he's climbing less and coaching more. "I'm focused on logistics, weather, personalities, management, I'm the one person at basecamp overseeing the entire operation. Now, I hire the guides, people I know, they get the clients up the mountain." When Mike decided to start his own guide company, he gave up the safety of working for someone else. However, that sacrifice has rekindled his passion and unlocked love for his work, his clients and employees completely new ways. Similar episodes: Werner Berger Vern Tejas Colin O'Brady
