We've always loved talking about the music throughout many a game, so we've decided to dedicate an entire episode to talk about our favourite soundtracks in greater depth. Also, there's a storm brewing, so if you enjoy the soothing sounds of rain, you're in for a real treat. Make sure to stick around until the end of the episode where we've been lucky enough to be able to include the theme of ‘The Last Revelation' by Peter Connelly, from ‘The Dark Angel Symphony'. Peter composed the music for Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider Chronicles and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. A franchise that many know is very close to our hearts. Peter and his team created a Kickstarter campaign to fund ‘The Dark Angel Symphony', a retelling and an extension of many incredible tracks from the Tomb Raider scores he's composed over the years. Find out more about The Dark Angel Symphony by clicking the link below; here you'll be able to purchase the soundtracks, uncover more about the successful project, get to know the team and treat yourself to some real artefacts. The Dark Angel Symphony Website We'd like to give a massive thank you to Peter for allowing us to include one of his tracks in this episode. We hope you enjoy this beautiful piece of music, just as much as we do. What soundtracks make those fine hairs stand on end for you? Do you agree with some of our picks? Let us know over on Twitter @Vault_Unlocked! Be sure to check out our soundtrack threads on there too, where we'll be posting the links to these awesome scores and songs. In this very special episode, a Roundtable Discussion, we discuss the recent Playstation 5: The Future of Games Showcase, that was streamed on 11th June 2020. This time round, we are joined by 3 incredible panelists: Jennifer @Lady_Sugarcube co-host of the Caffeinated Bantercast Podcast, Daryl @DarylBaxter host of the PAL KEYS podcast and James Fraser-Murison @FraserEsports a teacher championing eSports within sixth form (college) education, as we run through all the game announcements from the stream, the highs, the lows and the downright unsual games that were shown to be coming to the Playstation 5. We also have a small competition to see who could get the most predictions right, as the entire panel (except Jennifer) took part and wrote/recorded the predictions before the event. Lastly, we discuss the actual console reveal, how we think it looks, the accessories and speculation about the price. Moderated by Kiley Wilde Additional panelist: Pete Beckett We hope you enjoy this episode. Please like, comment and share this podcast, and give us a rating on Apple Podcasts. It's the thrilling conclusion to the Wipeout ranking, as the boys are joined once again by special guest Daryl Baxter (@darylbaxter) to talk about their favorite moments, music and memories surrounding the trendsetting anti-grav racing franchise. Highlights include Adam hopelessly failing to find the words to explain why he adores Wipeout 3, and Brendan listing all of the places you can actually barrel roll in Moa Therma. Once you've listened to this, go check out Daryl's shows PAL Keys and Outpost here: t.co/7Xt3rODvix
Time Extend finally covers the coolest racing franchise of them all. Wipeout is the topic of this ranking, as the boys are joined by writer and podcaster Daryl Baxter to discuss their favorite entries in Sony's cult-classic anti-gravity racing series and why there's still nothing else like it. Apple is launching a new premium game subscription service, Google is premiering a streaming platform that may very possibly be the first one to truly "work," and Nintendo and Sony both made some announcements of their own. Will these reveals have the industry-shaking effect that they seem to have, or will they come and go only to make room for the next Future of Gaming? All that and more in this week's Super Jump Podcast!! Theme music is by Jamatar. Check out Daryl's podcast PAL Keys here!
