This week we're discussing some very important shit like: Lenny Kravitz's Laffy-Taffy shaped dong, what makes a game a Soulslike, how Aaron can't take anything seriously, games that begin with "H", and possibly making a choose-your-adventure game on the Super Ghost website.
The guys try multiple bottles of Bourbon that recently acquired before diving into the latest game releases. Jared played through the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake and has mixed opinions on it. Nick is playing the Trails in the Sky Demo and is loving it so far and looking forward to the full release. Discord

In today's Daily Fix:Gamers around the world collectively groaned when Rockstar Games announced GTA 6 would be delayed into 2026, but it wasn't bad news for everyone. Speaking to MinnMax, Ghost of Yōtei's co-creative director, Nate Fox, admitted that the delay was good news for his team. Yōtei is scheduled to arrive this fall, around the same time as GTA 6, and no one—not even another Triple-A game—wants to go toe-to-toe with what could be the biggest video game launch of all time. In other news, Assassin's Creed Shadows' expansion, Claws of Awaji, arrives next week, and the devs are excited for you to take on the new bosses. Some of them are even inspired by classic Metal Gear Solid boss fights. And finally, Nintendo has a new Direct scheduled for this Friday, just in time for the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. Will we finally get a release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

With practically every “important” PlayStation 2 game being remastered, remade, and reimagined, it wasn't a surprise when Konami announced Metal Gear Solid Delta. The question wasn't “would it exist?”, but “should it exist?” This week, The Besties discuss why Metal Gear Solid 3 benefits from a high-definition, low-tweak update. And they debate just how loyal a remake should be to its source material. Get the full list of games (and other stuff) discussed at www.besties.fan. Want more episodes? As the clock ticks down toward the looming release of Hollow Knight Silksong, we say goodbye to a bygone era. Strangely enough, that era ends with us revisiting three established franchises with vastly different approaches to modernization. Nick and Chris Davis talk about the impressive - but slightly unambitious - remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Brad delves into Shinobi: Art of Vengeance which has reinvented the franchise with a shift of genre and a beautiful new coat of paint. Meanwhile, Krispy declares No Man's Sky: Voyagers to be the ultimate expansion which softens the barrier-to-entry and out Starfield's Starfield. With Konami's first proper post-Kojima Metal Gear game hitting shelves (Metal Gear Solid Delta, with apologies to Metal Gear Survive), Chris and show brother Evan reach into the distant past, and grasp in their hands a true piece of cursed media: "Metal Gear" the book, part of the infamous World of Power novelization series. Starring such classic characters as Commander West, Commander South, Chuck Robinson, Bob "Eagle Man" O'Reilly, and of course, the legendary soldier, the man who makes the impossible possible, Marine Captain Justin Halley, sometimes known as "Solid Snake." In a Now We Know first, we're taking you ALL THE WAY THROUGH this one, front to back. It's our first audiobook episode, albeit with some occasional grunts and chortles of dismay. In 1998, the world was ruled by Rayman. You could not go anywhere without seeing Rayman street art. Thousands of children died attempting to cut their own limbs off and suspend them from midair. All that changed when Solid Snake was brought into the third dimension. Brendan and Felix kick off their journey through the greatest story ever told by surfacing onto Shadow Moses. This is where Solid Snake realized he could be more than just a paid killer, Meryl Silverburgh witnessed the ugly reality of war, Roy Campbell was promoted from uncle to father, and Liquid Snake didn't actually achieve much of anything besides scoring some sunglasses off of a former member of his dad's love triangle. Put on your sneaking suit, let some strange woman shoot some crap into your arm, and soak your cardboard boxes in urine. It's time to fight your brother through various states of undress.

"What a thrill." Holy reference, Gameland. This week, we delve into the opening mission of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a modern update to Hideo Kojima's 2004 PS2 Classic, Metal Gear Solid 3. We go in depth with the Virtuous Mission and what sets this new version apart from the original - namely, control schemes and graphics. The timeless tale of Big Boss returns, and new players get the benefit of starting at the beginning of a series full of complicated twists and turns. We've also got a reaction to Call of Duty reversing the carry-over decision for Black Ops 7, some thoughts on Gorillaz finally being in Fortnite Festival, and some Pokemon Drip that doesn't match the type! Welcome to Neelix's Kitchen Nightmares you doughnuts!I'm Gordon Ramsey and we've got three meals for you to shove in your face from three questionable kitchens.Neelix's kitchen's covered in fluff and filth and seems to have been made in a large office meeting room. Will his food help Seven of Nine in “The Raven” or will it bring back dire flashbacks? I think we all know how it's going to go.Next up is the unnamed chef of the Enterprise who actually has a full kitchen. Hoshi Sato comes in and takes over, does she think she's me or something? She gets the job done, possibly a bit too much in “Singularity”. Also there's some delightful nonsense with a chair. Finally William T Riker's got the midlife crisis giant pizza oven out for a visit from his space dad, JL Picard in “Nepenthe”. Has he got what it takes, or will this episode and pizza both be undercooked? Sony is a many-tendrilled corporation, which can be both a blessing and a curse. But in fully leveraging all that the wider company does well, it seems they're closer than ever to achieving the "One Sony" goal from years and decades past. Enter Physint (sometimes typed PHYSINT, for some reason), a Hideo Kojima-led project revealed last year as a mysterious cross-pollination between PlayStation and Sony Pictures, one that appears to go into a distinctly Metal Gear Solid-like direction. With Death Stranding 2 now in the past, Kojima is confirmed to be working on Physint itself, presumably for PlayStation 6, which raises some questions, like: What will the game be like? When will it come out? Will it be a commercial success? We know so little about it, and yet, that's never stopped us before, so why start now? Plus: Arrowhead rather blatantly teases a Helldivers 2/Halo crossover, Strauss Zelnick expresses confidence in GTA6's Spring '26 release window and promises that BioShock 4 will indeed launch one day, rumors percolate about upcoming Resident Evil remakes, Crimson Desert gets delayed, PUBG is the next game to reveal it's leaving PlayStation 4 behind, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! What's the best stoner game? Are people overreacting to recent PlayStation executives' chatter about moving away from hardware? Is Danganronpa actually bad? Did we actually (and unintentionally) get someone fired from their job? Download Cash App Today: https://capl.onelink.me/vFut/ty57yree #CashAppPod.
