Raj Prakash Paul || The Lord's Church India
Our study continues in 2Peter chapter 3 looking at verses 3 and 4. Peter exposed the false teachers in chapter 2 who deny the Master who bought them. In chapter 3, he now exposes those who mock our Lord Jesus Christ and His 2nd Coming. Dr. Mitchell explains these verses making a distinction between the Lord's 2nd Coming to the earth to set up His kingdom and the coming of the Lord for His own, the church, the body of Christ. Through the apostle Peter, God is already informing us of what is coming now in these last days. Dr. Mitchell points out that the Apostles Paul and John also wrote of these last days in detail. On the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast Dr. Mitchell specifies which doctrines these mockers and false teachers are attacking and denying in these last days. Turn with us in your Bible to 2Peter 3:2-4.
Who doesn't like the old, familiar hymn with the catchy tune “We Three Kings of Orient are”? It conjures up images of bejewelled noblemen riding on stately ornamented camels, each with a gift in their hands. Well, the real story from the Bible is a lot different from that. Yes, there were “wise men” or magi that actually made that arduous journey in search for a King, a Messiah. But their quest was for something far deeper than to see the latest heir to the throne. They had heart longings to personally meet the Saviour promised by God. It was worth it for them to leave their homes and head off in long, hard journey until they found Him. And find Him they did! What a joyous day it was for these men! Those that stayed behind in unbelief missed the greatest discovery of their lives! And how many are doing the same today?

Why is peace so elusive, and how do we live in a world torn by war? In this message from Isaiah 9:5, Pastor Jeremy Writebol shows us how the first and second coming of Christ bring true and ultimate peace for all who trust in him.

Our belief in Jesus compels certain actions. Not compulsion but the desire to return the boundless love of our Savior and King. Obedience to the commandments in stone and the ones written in our heart is the reasonable service of devoted children. Our desire is to imitate our Lord; to forgive as He forgives, for He forgives as we forgive. Acts of benevolence and charity are the sacrifices we bring. We love our God by loving His children (if you have done it even to the least of these, ye have done it unto me.) He notices. Our righteous actions gain the attention of our God. "Watch" he says to avoid being overtaken. The Spirit of God will reveal His plans to His faithful. Take this time seriously. Pay attention. Make sure you have quietness in life - daily times of introspection; that you may be found worthy to escape; worthy to stand before the Holy and Righteous Son of Man.***Chapter 102: Jesus Speaks About The Coming JudgmentMatthew 24:29-51; Mark 13:24-37; Luke 21:25-36JESUS CONTINUED his discourse on the Mount of Olives, saying: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from Heaven, and the powers of the Heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in Heaven. And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, from one end of Heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree: ‘When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh.' So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, ‘This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.' Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until that day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. “Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. “For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore (for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at evening, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning) lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, ‘Watch.' “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch

Not only during the Christmas season but also throughout the year, believers on the Lord Jesus Christ often are gripped with the reality of how God really came into the world as a human being - and the implications it has on their souls and on their lives. That simple story teaches many truths that have practical implications in our lives as believers. Today's message looks specifically at the wise men who came to seek for and worship the Christ child and brings out many helpful truths that we can apply to our own lives.

In this video, we look at the Sunday lectionary readings for the 1st Sunday of Advent. We talk about eschatology and how to interpret prophecies of the future in light of the 1st and 2nd coming of Christ. Then we talk about the history of "online" reformed theology and it's leaders across the generations and the current fruit that is being reaped that is realigning and shaking the world of "reformed" theology online.
Advent offers a powerful opportunity to prepare our hearts for the Lord's coming, and we begin this holy season by renewing our efforts to build up the relationships that God sets before us. First Sundayof Advent. Our Lord calls us to be prepared, not only for His second coming at the end of time when He comes in glory, but also when He comes to us at the celebration of Christmas. Listen to my homily to learn about some ways we can prepare for His coming.
Billions have often wondered about this world and if it is all going to END one day? You are not wrong to think that way because the TRUTH of the matter is that this world is going to END one day. (I believe that will be soon) In FACT, Jesus Christ himself used those very words when talking to his own followers. This video is divided into three different parts. In PART ONE I take a look at the FIRST coming of Christ and how the scriptures clearly show that Jesus Christ FULFILLED the prophetic words of the Old Testament scriptures. The scriptures PROVED that Jesus was in truth the PROMISED Messiah, Son of God and LORD! In PART TWO I take a look at the interaction between the people of ISRAEL (the Jewish people) and how they talked with Jesus, and how Jesus responded to them. In PART THREE I take a look at the words of Jesus and what he had to say about HIS own second coming and the END of the WORLD! VIDEO OF THIS SAME MESSAGE
In this episode, Reformed Baptist and Amillennialist Ryan Eakins discusses how Judgement Day and the Return of Christ occur together, and how this leaves no room for a Premillennial view of Revelation or in eschatology.Watch all of our videos and subscribe to our channel for the latest content >HereHere
The angel Gabriel is perhaps most well-known for breaking the news to Mary about her pregnancy with the Lord Jesus Christ. But it wasn't the first time he came to earth and spoke of Jesus. In this intriguing study in the book of Daniel, find out why both appearances are important to us today.

Luke 17:20-37 | JD Summers We are often taken and distracted by many things, some more important than others. But nothing is as important as our Lord. Are you ready for him to return? As we look to Christ's second coming, we must first receive him as our savior. We must also beware of the sinful and deceptive pull of the world around us. Jesus is coming again, and while he came initially to die, he will return to judge. Let us live in light of these realities, preparing our hearts for the kingdom of God.
Be active, a faithful steward, until the return of the King.
Fr. Mike explains sins of omission, and how these are some of the biggest deciding factors of who goes to heaven and who goes to hell: whether or not we did good works God called us to. He also reminds us that not all of the New Testament parables are universally relevant, recalling the parable of the talents and the parable of the wise and foolish maidens. Today's readings are Matthew 25-26 and Proverbs 19:21-24. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/bibleinayear. Please note: The Bible contains adult themes that may not be suitable for children - parental discretion is advised.
